K-Nut Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Or the dark swept hair, (from the new Ariel set) a random torso, dark tan pants and Bilbo's head I've always used Frodo's head. Then you can have a transformation expression (the scared face with green eyes). Quote
Scarilian Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Based on the fact that the Avengers game is based on the Marvel studios films, I've compiled a list of possible exclusive figures to come with the game: Iron man Mk II-V (Mk I is unlikely due to new molds) Ivan Vanko (first suit) Laufey Odin Red Skull Either Cap 1 suit or the stealth suit Coulson (Oh yay, just in time for the Helicarrier rumors to be squashed -_-) Any Iron man 3 suit War machine Mk I Movie-accurate winter soldier Falcon (unlikely due to wings) a multitude of GotG figs (unlikely) and, of course, any AoU figs that couldn't make it into sets due to spoilers or just not being important enough This is just a prediction/wish list based on important characters who have appeared in the films. Feel free to inform me if I missed anyone important. A massive amount of these feel like they are just fan-dreams that will never happen such as Ivan Vanko. If we are getting a figure it's likely based on Avengers or Avengers 2. Probably a character that has been in both films and has recogniseability. A Thanos bigfig would be so incredibly unlikely, but certainly welcome. Patience is a virtue, we'll probably get two variants of big-fig Thanos when it comes to Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2 sets. Cammo Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) I wouldn't be surprised if it was Howard the Duck since TTG loves wacky characters. Take Plastic Man for instance. It would need a new mold though. Maybe soleone who was in all the MCU movies ;) Edited February 1, 2015 by Cammo Quote
Ultron Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Maybe soleone who was in all the MCU movies ;) Stan?? :D Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Have no fear, crusader! Lego heard your concerns and you'll get a special version of the set where Black Widow's gun has been swapped out for the printed diploma brick from the Collectible minifig series. Bonus points for becoming enraged about the printing of a lego brick while seeing no issue with this being a set based on a paramilitary group who murder people without trial, using weaponry designed by an alcoholic who paid for this with money he diverted (stole) from US government contracts with Stark Industries. Not my point. At the end of the day, this is a toy for children, and Lego has proven to be a little sexist from time to time. The fact that they go out of their way to make sure every female minifigure they produce has a clear hourglass figure bothers me, especially more than the fictional plot of a movie. The argument you've made is about as substantial as claiming the Hulk creates unrealistic expectations for green people. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Howard the Duck since TTG loves wacky characters. Take Plastic Man for instance. It would need a new mold though. Maybe soleone who was in all the MCU movies ;) Howard the Duck would require new molds, though, and they tend not to do that for exclusive figures. Stan Lee on the other hand... Quote
gedren_y Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Stan Lee is a distinct possibility. His cameos are a staple of the Marvel movies (even the non-Disney ones). It would be a relatively easy to produce fig, but a real want of fans. Quote

Lego released the other SDCC exclusive this year (Rocket Racoon) so maybe they were saving the other one for this? I'm just trying to think of some unexpected stuff, since I don't think anyone saw Plastic Man coming. Malekith, maybe? A SHIELD Agent from the show? Or maybe someone from the Netflix shows? Quote
greeklad97 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 What if it's the Collector? Lego released the other SDCC exclusive this year (Rocket Racoon) so maybe they were saving the other one for this? Not happening, unfortunately. SDCC raffle figs will not be distributed anywhere else unless specifically stating beforehand, ex. (Bard). All other figures will remain exclusive and are marketed and packedged as such. Figures in SDCC exclusive sets can be distributed however since only the build/packaging must remain exclusive. :/ Quote
Neomars Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Accurately to what? You can make a very good MCU Banner using Kilians torso, dark tan pants and Supermans head. From the video game. I'm not to fond of custom minifigs. Most of the time they just look off and for me it feels like cheating. But that's just me. Looking at the LEGO March Calendar from the 14th to the 29th is double points. So now that's $30 if you get the Helicarrrier and around $20 from all the sets. Quote
kevkipo Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 It was a good year for me last year with sets, in October i bought the Hobbit ones and got double points like 25 Euro's comes in handy this March Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Stan?? :D With web, Wolverine claws, Iron man jets and alternate hulk face! And a hot dog cart. Quote
Robianco Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Rocket Raccoon was never an SDCC exclusive figure... Same way the Batman and Robin figs in the SDCC set weren't exclusive and even the Bard figure wasn't exclusive. Don't expect the Collector in any set/book/DVD anytime soon. Same with the ZEA Batman for that matter. Those figures were marked as exclusive on the packaging and as such won't be distributed in a retail set. Quote
Cloveapple Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Realistically in these movies a lot of costumes tend to exaggerate or draw attention to form, so it's probably a little harder to not include that for licensed minifigures. Even Iron Man's waist is tapered. I think any sane person would agree that comic books and comic book movies exaggerate and draw attention to both women's and men's anatomy in certain ways. Comic heroines are often curvy with an emphasis on chests and back sides. So, sure the actors tend to have a well defined waist. As for the guys, comic heroes have chests that are muscled like body builders. And of course majorly built guys have a taper to their body: bigger shoulder and pecs over a slightly smaller waist. However I don't think Lego tapers the guys. There is guy after guy with none of the shading that is meant to show that their torso is smaller than the plastic at any point. I can be ok with "fan service," it's just a bit odd on Lego minifigs, and even odder when it's only being applied to the gals. Quote
Cloveapple Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Stan?? :D Then he could have cameos in all of our creations. :-) Quote
Quicksilver Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Black Costumed Daredevil from the Netflix show would be cool to have as a pretty order exclusive. Quote
Jay_Em Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Hope we get better pictures of the AoU sets soon, particularly the Quinjet. Quote

That said I do not think lego intends on releasing them again. Quote

Quicksilver Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Well, to our knowledge, he still has the Aether. Thanos will need that. Good point. But James Gunn has said GOTG 2 will not set up Infinity War. But Thanos could invade Knowhere at the beginning of INFINITY WAR to aqquire the Aether, as well as Xandar for the Power Stone. Quote
Scarilian Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 If the Collector is in the movie.... But James Gunn has said GOTG 2 will not set up Infinity War. But Thanos could invade Knowhere at the beginning of INFINITY WAR to aqquire the Aether, as well as Xandar for the Power Stone. To be honest, i think Thanos will kill the Collector and acquire the Aether in a GOTG2 credit scene. Thanos acquiring the Power Gem and destruction of Xandar will probably occur as what starts the Infinity War and makes the Gaurdians go to Earth after they hear word that the Mind Gem is on Earth. And then the Guardians of The Galaxy go on an intergalactic adventure to find the killer. Quote
