kevkipo Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 What info do you really expect to get? Allocations for the March assortment haven't been posted at the store level yet, so you're not likely to get any more information than we already have. I got info about the release of the The Hobbit sets 2 month's before release, they are not so strict there Quote
Robianco Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I think information at store level is hit and miss as there's not a clear line of communication to each manager/assistant as to what's coming out in the future... and whether they'd actually share that info directly if they knew. I've had staff give hints towards Lego SW sets as well as other things over the last couple of years and also had people have genuinely no idea about upcoming sets that have been leaked and shared all over the Lego fan community. JaseTJ Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Must be nice to have $700 to throw around jealous. But I dont think the set is worth it. You could build one for way less. The only reason the part count is so high is cause of all the small pieces unlike the SSD where it had lots of large plates. Oh well to each their own So I might be banking a bit on winning a massive short story contest I entered, if I want that to happen, but... It could happen :P Otherwise I'll be pinching pennies to get one, like the rest of you ;) No news on the summer sets, though? I'm beginning to wonder if the Agent in the jet will be Coulson... I'd much rather not, he's easy enough to customize and I want SHIELD uniforms, but... Idk. Hopefully he'll be the exclusive with the game, if not Stan Lee. Quote
kevkipo Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 That's the fun thing about the Wijneghem store, only Lego fans work there i'm sure at least one of them is on Eurobricks Quote

I'm hoping that it's Coulson in some kind of generic SHIELD outfit. The best of both worlds. Preferably Coulson over not-Coulson for me, though. I love the guy and my purist version isn't as great as I want him to be. He'd make a good pre-order bonus, though. I think they'll have to get around to making Stan Lee at some point; the question is how exclusive he'll be. Quote

I have a similar situation, whether i end up getting the Helicarrier at the moment depends entirely on whether i get a delivery that was made during a website glitch. If the delivery arrives then i should be able to sell it off so i can just about afford the Helicarrier, if not then i'll have to pass. In addition if you do plan on getting a second to 'mod it', then double the size may not be enough, after all the microfigures are less than half the size of a normal figure. Though i suppose it depends on how accurate you want it... I also cant see any other Shield Agent being included in the Summer Carnage set. The only noteworthy Shield Agents in the Ultimate Spider-man series are Agent Coulson and Nick Fury, and we already had Ultimate Nick Fury ages ago. Edited February 4, 2015 by Scarilian Quote
Rinzler Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Has anyone got an idea as to how much it would be to build the Helicarrier using pick-a-brick? Quote
The Chosen Minifigure Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 You couldn't. Too many of the bricks wouldn't be there. It just wouldn't be possible. Quote

Though i suppose it depends on how accurate you want it... Oh no, accurate scale would be much to large for me. It would take up a whole room to get anywhere close. I'd just like the minifigs to not look too horribly oversized on the deck, and enough room inside for a minifig scale control room of some sort. I'm not concerned about fitting more than one row of computers or anything. Fitting one of the quinjets on the deck would be a huge bonus, but I'd be happy with just a small single-'fig SHIELD jet fitting. I hadn't thought about Coulson having a SHIELD torso. He did wear SHIELD outfits in USM whenever he wasn't principaling, so I could see that working. Just throw the head/hair on an appropriate suit and voila. Free torso for a generic agent. ...Dang... This set is gunna be an exception. I've never kept a set of MOC built before. Not for long. Especially if I can minifig-ify the Hellicarrier, there's no way I'll be taking it apart... I need to rebuild my quinjet :P Edited February 4, 2015 by JaseTJ Quote

Felkin Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Well now I'm depressed; the X-Mansion got rejected by Lego Ideas. I'm still hoping for an X-Men set in 2016 to cash in on the Apocalypse movie (like the Sentinel set last year), but I'm not counting on it. Why can't all the movie companies just get along? Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are both X-Men AND Avengers characters; are there any other X-Men characters who belong to both teams? Could Lego sneak Beast, Rogue, Havok etc into an Avengers Assemble set? I don't know if any of them are in the cartoon, though... Quote

I knew all along that it was a bit of a pipe dream of actually getting an x-mansion set but I'm getting a bit annoyed at ideas. I'm sure they have valid reasons for not making each of the different "in review" sets but I wish they would give an appropriate reason. At this point a huge amount of the sets that achieve 10,000 supports aren't passed. I understand that LEGO need to make the decision in the end but they do need to consider what the fans are asking and stop giving us stupid Spider-Man sets with the same variants (although change appears to be on the horizon with the new sets). The comic sets sell just as well as the cartoon ones with children and are much better for fans, I just don't see the logic. Sorry for the rant I think I'm just a bit annoyed as I really wanted them to pass the x-mansion set! Ahh well look like I'm gonna have to build my own! Edited February 4, 2015 by Swifty118247 Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 You know what I didn't notice about the Helicarrier? It has the Avengers brand, but it has the same Black Widow and Hawkeye from the AoU sets. Seems Lego is trying to right their wrongs. Quote

Seems Lego is trying to right their wrongs. More than likely they just threw in the new figs because they're in mass production now to come out with the AoU sets instead of having to remake the original Avengers one just for the Helicarrier. I'm actually OK with Black Widow and Hawkeye coming with the Helicarrier being that they are each exclusive to one set unlike 2 years ago where we got a bajillion Hawkeyes and one Black Widow in the most expensive set. (Yes Black Widow is still in the two most expensive sets but maybe the price for her figure alone will go down in the after market with the amount that are put into circulation) Quote
mattdev25 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this, but for me, I love the Rhino Mech, even the one used in TASM2. It just seems more girth and destructive (and intimidating) than a huge Russian in a light grey Rhino costume. Call me crazy, but I like the mech a whole lot better. TheLegoExperience Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 It's a reliable one, but I'm hoping they're not reliable this time. Also, unrelated, but the Sandman Marvel set is $40. This makes sense, having 4 minifigure and everything. I can't really see much from the preliminary pictures, so the Toy Fair will tell me if I get it or not. Quote

There's no way that robotic suit would ever cause more destruction than Classic Rhino could. Quote
JaseTJ Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Fyi since I don't recall seeing it here, Just2good reported that Rhino/Sandman will be $40. I kindof agree with mattdev, though. I'm not necessarily opposed to an organic Rhino, but I'd welcome a mech as much if not more. Quote
Colossus Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Yay. For those jazzed about the Helicarrier, congrats! For those that think it's a ridiculous UCS build with next to no play features, and that Lego and Marvel wasted an opportunity to provide fans with the perfect X-Mansion, lo-ho-ho-ho-ded with minifigures and play features, I feel your pain. Zhagas Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Havok was originally in X-Factor. It was only much later that Alex Summers was a part of the X-Men roster. Havok and Polaris were on/off members of the X-men along with the first five during the '70s. X-Factor didn't come around till the mid 80s and the roster that included Havok came out in the early 90s. Quote
