kevkipo Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 After all of that hype, that's all you have to say ? Also the set looks pretty cool, will be picking that up. No no not really, I absolutely loved it. But it happened a little bit fast so couldn't give my full reaction to it I LOVEEEE IT! Here's the check list for everyone who asked: Click on it for a much bigger size. Thanks Just2Good! They all look so amazing, Quicksilver looks just like i've wanted him to Quote
SMC Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Just got to my Iron Man vs. Ultron set, and on first glance, the Mark 45 is the most detailed Iron Man variant we have seen yet. Just noticed it doesn't have boot printing but other than that I would agree and I think it looks great although not sure what I will do with them all when I buy 10 sets . Quote

Put Black hair like the one in the Tower set one one of them and take off the helmet, then that gives you a variant. Then again that only works for one i suppose. Its like with the Thor Figures in the 2012 sets and the polybag, what you can do is make three variants with ease, Take one's grey arms off and put flesh arms on and you have the Thor vs Iron Man variant, Do the same with another but take off the cape and you have the hulk vs Thor/casual helicarrier version. Then in the end you have three Thor variants including the armoured arms one. I'd imagine the new thor would look good with flesh arms, i'd be interested to see that if people get more than one thor, i may do that myself, just like with the 2012 loki, i took one helmet off and added black tousled hair like the Lego Avengers shorts have on youtube. Heck take away the staff and add a knife and you have the TDW variant. Theres lots you can do if you get a variant of something just by changing arms, accessories, hair. Lego have practically given us instructions of how to make our own official helmetless cap by showing that its obi wan's face and starlord colour hair. You could even use the 2011 young Obi Wan head for even more expressions. Edited February 13, 2015 by legofreak86 Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 So am I correct in saying that the AoU sets will come the first of March in lego stores? Mostly curious cause Ill be at one around the 3rd! Quote

Risgrynsgrot Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I'll definitively take the helmet from the Sentry Officer and put it on my Ultron Prime, that way all sentries have no helmets. Quote
legofreak86 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Yes, in Europe it is I'm sorry but i can't find that face, i have one but the other side has some sort of mask Lego use the 2014 MTT variant with the slanted mouth and angry face, i was referring to the 2011 version from the podracer set which is basically the same face but smirking and stoic expressions. Sounds to me like you have the 2012 Gungan underwater craft Obi Wan with the breathing mask. Quote
Ultron Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I wonder how Ultron prime looks without the neck piece. Quote
namioik Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I wonder how Ultron prime looks without the neck piece. Like the sentry officer without the blue Quote
Scarilian Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Like the sentry officer without the blue Pretty much, though i believe the printing is slightly varied Quote

Butterfingers27 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) I'll search for it, Thanks I plan on picking that face up too, but the Helicarrier hair color seems off to me. I've got the tan/blonde Chase McCain hair on my maskless Cap variant. Edited February 13, 2015 by Butterfingers27 Quote
JaseTJ Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 I just wish they'd release that hair in tan again, as opposed to Dark Tan everywhere.... Regardless, I kindof get why they used the nougat or whatever color from Starlord. Several custom Caps I've seen used Dark Orange hairpieces, and if you look he really does have slightly ginger hair. Mostly blond, for sure, but there is some darker color. Quote
legofreak86 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) Nougat is very close to Star Lord: http://i.ytimg.com/v...xresdefault.jpg and pretty close to steve: http://img4.wikia.no...Rogers_9602.png To be quite honest it depends on the lighting, lego must've thought it looked more like the nougat in the images they were supplied by marvel clearly. Personally i go with what lego goes with and nougat matches the eyebrows, Dark blonde would look out of place, i can see why they didn't make a new face for Steve as its a pretty generic look he has and the obi wan face matches his appearence reasonably well. I mean it is pretty close: http://cdn.screenran...gure-Shield.jpg I mean its pretty far from the Black widow's hair colour. Its closer to a pale brown than an orange. Quicksilver Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 At my Local Walmart in Canada and they have started putting the labels on the shelf's for the Age Of Ultron Sets! (I have pics but they won't load) Every set except the Hydra Fortress, have labels on the shelfs. Asked an employee and said they are in the process of unloading trucks. Quote

Think that confirms that the Fotress won't be a Wal-Mart exclusive. Since Target got the Brainiac set. I'm guessing it will be a TRU one. Why oh why is QS an exclusive set!!! Quote
Quicksilver Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Well Iron Fist and Ultimate Doc Ock were also in an exclusive set. Quote

It's hard to tell via pictures if that's the same hair color as Star Lord. It doesn't-quite look the same when you put Star Lord's hairpiece on a maskless Cap. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Figures. I only need two more DC sets now to finish off this wave, and now all the Marvel stuff is gonna come in and deliver my wallet the finishing blow! I think this round I'm gonna focus on getting only the heroes I don't have in any form yet. I missed Black Widow in the first Avengers wave, so I need her, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Vision. Suppose that means I'll definitely be getting the Hulkbuster, Hydra Fortress, and Quinjet. The drones and busted Ultron in the Avengers Tower set are really cool, though. Hmm... Quote
mattdev25 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Whoa, that's weird. Amazon just took off the two AoU sets. Too early perhaps? Odd. Edited February 14, 2015 by mattdev25 Quote

just2good Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Alright, here's a look at that $20 set. Overall, this one is just okay. The minifigure choice is pretty good, though only one minifigure is exclusive. You get the cheapest way to get the new Hawkeye and Thor minifigures, and a new style of the Hydra goon. The builds are pretty weak though. The HYDRA vehicle is pretty bad and could have been better with a minor price increase, but I don't think it was really necessary to include another vehicle. The snow rig is decent, but the roof and the bottom area are a little too thin. Quote
