Gatthekid Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I also want a set with Yondu. Possibly his ship? Quote
Legoman123 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I don't know if it means anything, but a picture of one of the boxes was an upright one, but it could mean nothing. That sounds interesting, I hope it's The Avengers Tower. :-) Quote
StarLord1987 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I hope we get the wasp in the ant man set(s) I'm dying to see quicksilver and scarlet witch , you think we will get pics around the time we got images from gotg sets? Quote
K-Nut Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I hope we get the wasp in the ant man set(s) I'm dying to see quicksilver and scarlet witch , you think we will get pics around the time we got images from gotg sets? I'm guessing a lot earlier. These sets will probably come out around the time the first Avengers sets did which was in March/April. We'll get some prelims beforehand and I'm guessing we'll get some good ones at Toy Fair. Quote
rexusprime Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 @hulk_smash can you tell us something about the sizes of the boxes? I mean is there a small set? 2 small sets? 3 small sets? I hope you get what I mean. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Was going to say, how easy would it be to get a Second Milano, and add bits to make it into Rocket's Warbird? Quote
K-Nut Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Was going to say, how easy would it be to get a Second Milano, and add bits to make it into Rocket's Warbird? Pretty easy I'm guessing. An easier MOD (personally) I think would be replacing the yellow parts with purple to make Yondu's ship and/or just changing that pallet a couple times to get a full fleet of Ravager ships. Quote
wesker Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) That sounds interesting, I hope it's The Avengers Tower. :-) Avengers Tower would be awesome if done right. I'm not expecting anything with the size and detail of Orthanc - but it needs to be a lot more substantial than what the Daily Bugle set was. Something along the price point of this Police Station would be good - around four stories tall and filling out a 16x16 baseplate. Would be nice to get some of the heroes out of costume too like Bruce Banner and Steve Rogers. I hope we get the wasp in the ant man set(s) I really hope we get her too. rodrigotmnt Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I THINK we will see Ant Man in both waves. The first one will be mainly Avengers AoU because MONEY! But we will have a Ant - Man set to kids get familiar with Ant - Man. Maybe on this wave there will be only one USM set or none. On the second wave it will be only Ant - Man for sure, some USM (because we still need white tiger figure), maybe an x-men set and a AA set ( with iron man, widow and hawkeye because we still need those) Quote

They didn't do this for GOTG. Additionally, I do see the possibility of some USM sets, but more as a wave with Ant-Man. There's going to be five AoU sets. In terms of set numbers, we got nine in 2012, five in 2013, ten in 2014, and now at least five in 2015. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Well the sets come out in March And they seemed about the size of the first Avengers ones, apart from the tall one, and I don't remember seeing a really small one (alba caps avenging cycle) Quote
Piranha Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Tall one has to be Avengers Tower, as it plays a big role in the film (from magazine). I really hope it is a Marvel D2C as that is the only way it could be done justice. However D2C are not normally shown in catalogs, so that has me worried a little. Five sets sounds awesome though, looking forward to this wave. Quote

Alright, so they should have an early release in about February, like the IM3 sets and this year's USM/AA sets. Quote

Towe this seems like a medium set so. It wouldnt do the tower justice. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Wasp is probably pretty likely, given this. So we have 5 sets and 9 Avengers, plus at least one villain... Hm... Quote
K-Nut Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 So we have 5 sets and 9 Avengers, plus at least one villain... Hm... Well, with the first Avengers wave we ended up getting 14 figures (9 different) plus the Hulk in only four sets, so really about 10. That gives us room for the 9 Avengers and Ultron (plus a couple of extra drones that can be fit in with the extra set). Quote

We will get two wave, one for AoU and another mid summer for Ant-Man and.maybe USM. K-Nut Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Cant forget about Vision, hes important to the plot I was counting him among the nine Avengers, though I did forget about War Machine. We also don't know how large of a roll Strucker has in the film, or if he's only in the beginning. I'm sure we'll get all the necessary figs. Quote
Douglas_Jon Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I honestly cannot see us getting any more GotG sets, at least until the sequel comes out. And as for the March release, is this just because A:AoU is released in April, or do all Marvel sets (inc. USM/AA) come out in March? (I was just hoping for some possible USM or AA sets in January to at least tide me over until the A:AoU sets are released). Quote

(I was just hoping for some possible USM or AA sets in January to at least tide me over until the A:AoU sets are released). It seems to be centered around the release of a film, though we did get some in March/April this past year for no movie. I doubt we'll get anything before AoU, though, seeing as we'd have probably heard something about it by now (and before we heard about AoU sets). We'll probably get a set or two in June to coincide with Ant Man. Whether it's Avengers Assemble or Ant Man, we don't know. Quote

Ah, i think.that Rhodey will just be a cameo. strucker will probably be just in the begining, and we might have one set based on that. Quote
K-Nut Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Ah, i think.that Rhodey will just be a cameo. strucker will probably be just in the begining, and we might have one set based on that. Yeah. I feel like if Rhodey had a large part in the film they would have had him on one of the Comic Con posters they were releasing. He could just be a liaison to the Government in the construction of Ultron, which would mean he wouldn't really need to be in any of the sets. More back on topic, a small set with Strucker, Quicksilver, and SW could make a good buy and get us a couple good figures. Just for $10/$20ish. Quote
Ultron Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Yeah. I feel like if Rhodey had a large part in the film they would have had him on one of the Comic Con posters they were releasing. More back on topic, a small set with Strucker, Quicksilver, and SW could make a good buy and get us a couple good figures. Just for $10/$20ish. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will definitely be in the more expensive sets, unless we get them in a different variant or suit. is this just because A:AoU is released in April, or do all Marvel sets (inc. USM/AA) come out in March? Age of Ultron actually comes out in May. We got the first Avengers sets in April and that movie also came out in May. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I got the feeling that 2015 will be like this year's. Wave one AA/USM (for TWS and ASM2) and second wave later in the summer for GotG and X-Men. So five in March for AOU and a second for ant-man and maybe USM Quote
