Quicksilver Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Quicksilver everyone! Thanks to my good friend Brandon. He just got the Hydra set today from Toys R Us. I'd recommend checking there for this set. Would you mind having your friend take a picture of Strucker? Quote
kevkipo Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 There are plenty of People who will enjoy me One word... What? Would you mind having your friend take a picture of Strucker? Ooh yes that'd be nice Quote
Quicksilver Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Has anyone else thought about taking the Hydra Fence/Base and combining it with 9471 the Urak Kai Army, to expand the castle more? Quote
agoodfella77 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Quicksilver everyone! Thanks to my good friend Brandon. He just got the Hydra set today from Toys R Us. I'd recommend checking there for this set. Still disappointed no leg printing... I mean if they can give Carnage arm, leg and feet printing, they could throw in for some leg printing on QS. Quote
Ultron Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Yeah, an angry one. I think he looks good, the look in the movie isn't really much to go on. I like that the got the sequence pattern of the Under Armor type shirt. That's an awesome detail! That's good. I was hoping for an angry face. Does it look similar to Thor's angry one but with stubble instead of a beard? Quote
adotnamedstud Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 The Baron. Nothing good IMO, the torso seems nifty. The head might be good for The Penguin too. And the inside of the base. A lot of people were wondering what was inside. Nothing spectacular however... Again, all these photos are from a good friend of mine. Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 So I went to Target yesterday and looked for the AOU sets. None were found. Then I asked an employee for the sets, and he was dumbfounded by me. He didn't know ep what I was talking about! Then he asked me for the DCPI numbers for the sets. I didn't have them so I left. Now I do not know the DCPI numbers, and I was wondering if anyone in this thread has them. I mainly want the numbers for the avengers tower and the iron man vs Ultron set. I searched for these numbers on YouTube and the Internet, but I found none. I would love it if someone could help me with this. Thank you. Quote
KingDom Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Just going to ignore the blatant troll. That quicksilver torso looks a lot darker than I was expecting, but on the upside I think it will look pretty good with some dark blue legs on, as it stands black seems like a poor choice. The tower looks pretty poor and generally I use eBay for mini figures in sets as uninteresting as this but the tank still looks good, I'd like to review one for youtube and I can recover some money with VIP points and selling the duplicate captain america and hulk so I think I'll make an exception on this one. 8BrickMario Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Quicksilver looks really good, but I do wish his legs weren't so bland. Quote

Yes exactly Awesome set now i want it more! Does. Anyone want to trade I have Mario Hill for trade! Offers please! *Sigh* Quote

Quicksilver Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 he Hydra base is actually looking to be a pretty good set, although the price point is way too high. Loving Strucker. He looks so good. And Quicksilver's Printing is surprising detailed. Also what are the complaints about Quicksilver's Legs? In all of the images we have of him he is just wearing Dark Blue Jeans. Maybe Lego could have used the Superboy Legs on him. Quote

Scarilian Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 The Hydra Fortress Smash is an 'ok' looking set, but i think its an easy pass for me. Only Strucker and Quick Silver are really exclusive and i dont desire owning Strucker. If it was £5 more than the Hulkbuster set then i'd probably get it... but the price is too high for what it is. Quick Silver is alright i guess, felt he needs leg printing to match his upper costume. Baron Von Strucker is alright i suppose, not particularly a fan of the outfit, but i guess he may wear it in the film. The base (more likely outpost) seems way too tiny in terms of scale, could have really used another few towers. Most the pieces seem like they were given to the tank rather than the base As for the issue with Quick Silver, the legs on the movie version have side printing that helps differentiate them from being plain and makes them work with the rest of the suit; Quote

Maybe Lego could have used the Superboy Legs on him. The complaint about the printing on QS legs is simple. There are none. And yes, he has patterned legs as others have posted. He's not simply wearing black pants: Another profile pic: There are a few key takeaways from this raw footage shot: 1) The designs on his pants are clear and unmistakeable 2) If the final version has him simply wearing "black pants" they would not have gone through the painfully obvious efforts of designing these pants 3) Ergo, even without seeing the post-production final version, we know for a simple fact that there is clearly a design there (and TLG would have been aware of this design). Quicksilver AoU Figurine Frankly, I feel like whenever possible (as a default) there should always be leg printing on a licensed fig. But back to the point, yes there should have been printing on QS legs. Edited February 21, 2015 by agoodfella Quote
The Lego Nolan Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I kinda wish that Thor had a different torso because the front is all printed without the color of the actual piece. Quote

I like the design of Thor's torso print. The main issue is that there should have been more Gold highlighting (which would also have helped it differentiate from the previous Avengers Thor fig). They won't be online unless someone takes a clear picture of the price on the shelves or until March 1st when Target puts them online March 1st. My store is really bad at putting things on the shelves on the street date, and they wont put them out till like a week later. When the DCPI numbers come out use brickseek to confirm they are at the Target you want and call to request to hold them. Quote
Ultron Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Well it's a good thing that this theme is evergreen because the people who aren't fond of this quicksilver can hold out till we one day get a comic version. Quote
kevkipo Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Quicksilver AoU Figurine That's a custom fig, not an official one Quote
Ultron Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 That's a custom fig, not an official one I hope so, because he looks like he's 50 years old! He clearly has white-ish hair in this movie, not gray. Quote
LMB10 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Thor's armour in AoU doesn't have the gold highlights, that is his armour from The Dark World. His suit in AoU is that one with silver instead of gold. Quote
Jay_Em Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) Quicksilvers legs in the film shots have pretty subtle colour differences, so I'm not sure a) whether Lego would have even known about them and b) how Lego would have printed them without it standing out too much. In the set picture it just looks like dust from all the rubble, not obvious at a glance. Kevkipo likes it so it must be good :) Edited February 21, 2015 by Jay_Em Quote
