I was thinking as to how much the Marvel Lego universe has expanded character wise, in terms of new characters not new variations. So 2015 will see 15 new characters added to our character roster. Which is awesome.

We got a Hydra Henchman in comic book form last year. They are not new

Personally I prefer the MU movie sets since they're not so light and colorful like the comic ones, not to mention that movie varations of the minifigs are more detailed.

They're typically more inaccurate though like the vision being a lime green instead of darker and scarlet witch being extremely basic and having blue powers.

So, it's March and with The Helicarrier being widely available since yesterday, Winter Soldier polybag is now officially listed on S@H as a gift with the purchase of this beast. Which makes me worried. Do you think he will be available again in June as a regular 75$ promo? I'm not wasting 400+ dollars to get him.

Well most of the sets are based on concept art rather than the finished film,so I guess we can overlook the few minor changes.

I heard he'll come back as the June promo in the US but he's only available in the UK with the helicarrier. Not sure if that's true though

I guess he's curently available worldwide with The Helicarrier. Which I don't really like. He shouldn't be that limited.

If they offer him in June properly, I may bite the bullet and spend more on the sets on the S@H just to get him. Thanks to online shops here, prizes of the new sets are more reasonable. Thinking about buying the Hulkbuster for 849 CZK (approx. 45$) instead of RRP 999 CZK (50$). :purrr:

Yeah, but often times the sloppy and lazy movie designed figs just bother me.

I actually prefer the color and brightness of the comic-based ones. It's more fun and they tend to look a bit more appealing, in my opinion.

Green Goblin is a variant, though, since we got that ugly awful bigfig Gobby last year.

So, Is there a definite best Age Of Ultron set?

I'm thinking the Hulkbuster or the Quinjet are the most likely candidates for the best set.

I'm leaning on the Hulkbuster or Quinjet too. Iron Man vs. Ultron is a good army builder, Hydra Showdown is a cheap way to get Hawkeye and Thor and the jeep is good with some mods, Hydra Fortress has Quicksilver and Baron Von Strucker and I love the play features with Hulk, and the tower is good on a discount. Hulkbuster is the cheapest way to get Hulk and the model itself is great, not to mention Scarlet Witch, and the Quinjet is better as a whole than the 2012 version.

If I had to choose one, Hulkbuster. Best value of the line, unless you use the TRU discount on the Fortress, but my vote goes to Hulkbuster.

I'm thinking I might wait until June for the Winter Soldier promo, then I'll grab Hulkbuster and Avengers Tower. I prefer the location-based sets, and HYDRA Fortress Showdown, while cool, would be a bit repetitive for me, as I already got the cheap Cap set from the first Avengers, and if I get Hulkbuster I'll have Hulk as well. The rest are vehicle sets, although I might grab the small Iron Man one, as it's more of a battle pack. I may hunt down the figs that I don't get, not sure yet.

I'm personally going for the Hydra Fortress once TRU does another deal, but Hulkbuster is a no brainer. Avengers Tower is good but again, waiting for a sale so maybe I can expand it since I assume it's supposed to be the top of a building as opposed to a whole tower.

I got the setsss  , they are flipping awesome. I got 1 Iron Man vs Ultron (great army builder) and then the 2 Hydra sets, Quicksilver is  the new Thor is amazing as is Hawkeye really, i do recommend buying both Hydra sets tho, if you buy one you should get the other they fit so well together! and with these sets you almost get the whole crew

I also decided to save up for the Quinjet, it looked so awesome standing there

I prefer to blend them myself. Some comic figs are better (like the 2014 Hulk, IMO), and some movie figs are better. What's nice here as opposed to what it look like with the DC sets, is that the two sets of figures blend very well together, unlike the darker and "grittier" DC figures (ala Aquaman and MoS Superman, especiall with what DCCU Aquaman looks like).

I kinda want to order lots of past Super Heroes villain minifigs from Firestar Toys and just have Ultimate Ultron as their leader, ordering them from behind the scenes.

Does anyone feel that the game-accurate Goblin Glider is worth ordering the parts for? I feel that the Juniors version is "okay" at best. Even without the function, I would've prefered the one in the Marvel Super Heroes game to it.

The price for the Hydra fortress doesn't bother me....toys r us send out 20% off coupons all the time so that drops the price to 39.99. That's fair for that set.

You'll want to be careful with those TRU coupons, if you're talking about the ones that are stuck to the front of the print flyers that they mail out. A few months ago, they started excluding LEGO from the items you could use the discount on. I think that this was the trade-off when they started pricing most of their new LEGO at the same retail price as everyone else and restructured their rewards program so you earned rewards (slightly) faster.

I had $30 in TRU Rewards saved up and cashed them in on the Hydra Fortress. My momma taught me to say something nice or nothing at all, so I will just say that I think it's a great $20 set.
