I wish we got her electric batons in the quinjet!

For the batons you can just use some black light saber hilts with black screwdrivers attached. You can even paint on some blue highlights on the screwdriver and voilà. May be a bit long but meh.

I was thinking black sticks or blue lightsaber blades.

I think I mostly want all the Ultrons just to be able to make the perfect combination. I'm not sure I'm fully on board with any of the designs (I'm shooting for the one closest to the comics, since the movie one creeps me out in all the wrong ways) but all the parts oughta be there.

Saaaaay, I wonder if the marketing department at Marvel had anything to do with making Ultron, the guy with an endless number of different bodies, the big bad in Avengers 2? :sarcasm_smug:

Today I picked up the new Quinjet--and am rather happy with it.

It's a nice set, despite the box art making it seem rather empty--I do have to say the cover for that set just looks empty; it's a very lengthy box with a rather empty looking street on it! But that's minor--the set itself is well designed, with a good number of technic tricks used inside largely for the motorcycle drop. I think that feature works rather well (granted the bike always crashes whenever it lands on the ground...), although it does take up an awful lot of space inside. There is a small section/area in the back with just enough room to fit a standing minifigure (without any hair pieces), but that's about it. I am happy however to see a fire extinguisher included again—I absolutely love that continued feature in the Marvel sets; obviously they care about safety far more than those reckless DC hooligans!

I was a surprised at the size or lack of from this set though. This Quinjet is easily the smallest out of the three main Marvel flight vehicles, the old 2012 Quinjet and the Milano; this was a surprise since all three are rather similar in overall shape and in piece count. The Milano actually has less pieces but seems much heftier, which is something I miss on this new Quinjet. I never got a hold of the old version, but this one despite its wing span, clearly seems lighter overall. The colors however are spectacular.

Either way, it's a great set. Happy I picked it up. Plus the new Black Widow is to die for. I was unsure about her hair piece, but in person its just amazing.

Well thanks for the review, helps with deciding

You mean you can't fit a minifig with a hair piece inside the back of the new Quinjet, like Black Widow or Iron Man?

I'm torn between the new Quinjet and the Milano. I only have space for one. I think the Milano is the better ship, but I'm leaning towards the Quinjet because there's a high chance it's the last time we see a Lego version of it. There are only 2 movies where it could appear again - Civil War and Infinity War. Civil War is next year and I doubt they'd release the same ship 2 years in a row. Infinity War will be more space-based so I doubt we'd see much of the Quinjet in it. So this might be the last chance for me to get a Quinjet. As for the Milano, it's almost guaranteed that we'd get an updated version of it in GOTG 2. Thoughts?

While you're right about it maybe being the only other Quintet we'd be getting I'm not sure that they'd just give us another Milano with a GOTG2 wave. We don't know anything about the film yet but with only getting three sets this time round I can't see them repeating the main one for the next film. They made a point of saying it had been rebuilt to look exactly like the original Milano at the end of GOTG1 so I can't see it suddenly getting a different paint job or being drastically different to look at for the second film.

I think we will see 5-6 sets for gotg2 and I think they will re release the Milano and probably add a few new stickers and new figs

No, it is not possible to fit anyone standing with a hair piece (like Black Widow or Iron Man--anything other than a standard minifigure head height, and even then it's a stretch) in the back section, because the roof hangs too low in this area. Really, there is only a 4x4 area for standing too--and a middle/side of that area (2x2) is tiled, so there's no connection point in the center. Which kinda sucks.

As I have both the Milano and the new Quinjet I think I can help you out with deciding. First, I don't think there is a high chance that this is the last we'll see of either ship. We of course still have more Avengers movies to come, and so I think it's likely we'll see something for the third film (Which I think is a two-parter)--likewise we also have more GotG films coming, and I think we may see another Milano there too.

Really I think it may boil down to what you want for the ship. I feel the Quinjet has more swoosh-ability and it's a rather sleek looking design; it's also very devoted towards play features that represent attacking. Milano on the other hand doesn't have too many play features itself, but rather allows far more play within, since the interior is so well done--there's room for all members of the team (assuming you use baby Groot). Personally, I think I like the Milano more--it's larger, has room inside for tons of minifigures (which I always care about), and it feels more complete. Quinjet is great for sure, but to me it feels like it's just missing something.

Why would you think this is the last time we'll be seeing a quinjet? At least parr of infinity war will be on Earth and the avengers will need transport. And it's not like Infinity war will be the end of Marvel movies. The Avengers will continue after that I'm sure in phase 4

I intend to get both, hopefully. The Milano is a great design, and it's the only set with the 2 Guardians I'm missing, as well as Ronan. Plus I wanna get some use out of the stickers that came with the Rocket polybag, because they don't so that too often. The Quinjet is included in my plan to get all the Avengers in the least amount of sets possible, since I need Black Widow and Vision. I'll probably keep the build in tact for awhile, since it doesn't seem too bad and it's a pretty nice staple of the MCU. I'll probably have to dismantle Knowhere, the Stark Mansion, and the Hulk Breakout to make room for either one, but it's about time. I only really left the Hulk Breakout because of Galaga guy, anyway.

New hair piece in brown for scarlet. Would be perfect if it is a bit thinner.

I like this idea and I agree that this hairpiece would be much better if it didn't cover up so much of the upper torso... that's always been my issue with this hairpiece.

Is that the standard head for Scarlet Witch?

I'm starting to believe that's why Lego didn't use it.

Yes, that's the standard head but changed hairpiece.

it doesn't cover up that much, besides on Scarlet Witch the hair also covers up her shoulders and neckline

Was planning on getting the Quinjet soon bit I think I'll go for the Milano instead, and get the Quinjet later this year or next year. It looks good and the figures are fantastic, but it does seem a tad small. So I'll probably wait until it's available for closer to £50, and get the Milano soon, which has almost as good minifigures and is probably a better model itself.

I'm curious, how would the new Ultron helmet look on a castle figure? I'm wondering if it could be passed off as one of these helmets:

Iron Man vs. Ultron looks like a great little set to pick up, but the helmet would really seal the deal for me.

Okay how do i share picturss. this probably not a good place to ask...but yeah

To upload them on the forum I think the pic max size is 100Kb. If larger you can "deep link" from most image hosting, if I remember correctly :classic:
