Colossus Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Honestly, can we please keep the wish lists in the damn wish list thread? And please..."a Lego employee told me about all these 2016 sets" sounds rather weak. Then again... I consulted my magic 8-ball by asking whether we would receive at least one new MCU Lego set based on any random Avenger in 2016. After shaking it like it owed me money, it responded, "YES DEFINITELY!". Feeling like I was on a roll, I asked it if an Avenger dies in the upcoming AoU movie. It replied, "BETTER NOT TELL YOU NOW". Hmmm...sounds pretty ominous. Discuss. Quote
kevkipo Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Tis fine, updating it again based on new reports So according to that, essentially we get the following 13 main characters who could recieve figures in the 3 sets... added Spider-man due to rumours Crossbones - Likely Winter Soldier - Unlikely Baron Zemo - Possibly, though may not be important enough Spider-man - Possibly, though could be left till solo film Captain America - Definitely Falcon - Likely Black Widow - Likely Hawkeye - Likely Iron Man - Definitely War Machine - Possible Vision - Unlikely unless costume update Ant-Man - Unlikely, recieved a year prior Black Panther - Likely, though could be left till solo film Scarlet Witch - Likely, if given a new costume (Guess Quicksilver is off with the X-Men or something... ) Make Crossbones a defenitely Quote

Colossus Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Sorry. I missed that because of the "I wish these characters" and "I'd like to see these in a set" statements laced through previous posts. Quote
Colossus Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I understand that this thread is for set discussion as well. My comments were not aimed at at those engaging in set speculation. I did not intended to offend them. For that, I apologize. Quote

Quicksilver Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Just thinking here, is it possible, in the supposed 5 Avengers Assemble sets being released next year we get a Deadpool minifigure to relate to the movie in a indirect way? Don't call me crazy, but even though Deadpool is going to be rated R, X Men DOFP was pretty gruesome and had some suggestive material for a PG 13 movie, yet they got a colourful and kid friendly indirect tie in set. Also, the first set Deadpool was featured in (Wolverines Chopper Showdown) was one of the (if not the) best selling superhero sets of 2012, due to the fact of several exclusive Figures, Good Price point and the Merc with the Mouth. It is also a very valuable set on 2nd after market, meaning a lot of new Lego investors would be happy if they had a set with a new variant of Deadpool included. Although Deadpool has not been on Avengers Assemble yet, he has been featured in it's sister show, Ultimate Spiderman, in one of it's most iconic episodes, Ultimate Deadpool. Meaning Children who watch the show will be aware of who he is, and might purchase a set with him in it. Just my really long 2 cents. Quote
Master_Data Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 ^ I'd be fine with that. I missed the first set with Deadpool, even when I saw it on clearance...I'd like to rectify that, so I hope he comes in some set next year! Quote
Quicksilver Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Just thought of something. Have we gotten any information on when the micro sized Quinjet Poly will be available? Quote
MarvinM Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I was wondering if the Winter Soldier polybag is still a go for the June special. I haven't heard anything about it and it's making me rather paranoid that perhaps it was just a rumor. (Meaning I will miss a pretty cool figure, which I absolutely want) Quote

MarvinM Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Also, I heard that the marvel game might come with either Coulson, Falcon, or Bruce Banner. Do we know what will actually be the gift? (Seems a bit early, so I feel these are just assumptions anyways) I would prefer a MCU Falcon tho, specially if it comes with the plastic wing replacements like Hawkman and space Batman, I feel that would be pretty cool. It should still be June for the US; "June: Main Set - 10247 Ferris Wheel. Promos: Marvel Superheroes Winter Soldier minifig" Nice! I would be devastated if I missed having such a cool figure Quote

wilson3a10 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 He said Marvel announced it, but i have my doubts! Just a few days before the movie is shown on screen. I doubt it too but I'd love to see it. Just like what the top gear show did before the new season just started. Quote
CrazyDalton777 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 When does everyone think that LEGO will discontinue the three GOTG sets? I have money and want to get to Milano but I want Avenger AOU sets too, should I wait a while to get the AOU sets and get the Milano now or what? Quote

I have money and want to get to Milano but I want Avenger AOU sets too, should I wait a while to get the AOU sets and get the Milano now or what? Go for the Milano now, especially. The GotG sets won't be around much longer--and there are reports of some deep discounts (I think some people said they got it for like $30; and I swear I even heard like $15 somewhere) being seen on the Milano itself (I think mostly from Walmart, but it may be dropping across the board). It's an amazing set and now is the time to get it--before it's too late! Quote

If you want the Milano, i'd guess it'll be discontinued by Summer (December at the latest) given they'll be introducing lots of new Marvel sets presumably for 2016 and they likely wont continue producing the Milano then. The AoU sets will probably stay around till the Civil War sets are released. Get the Milano now'ish. Edited April 18, 2015 by Scarilian Quote
Legoman123 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I'm not familiar with the American Age ratings so could someone please tell me what the rating 'R' is equivalent to in England. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I'm not familiar with the American Age ratings so could someone please tell me what the rating 'R' is equivalent to in England. Not being familiar with the UK ratings system all I can say is R means you must be 18 or older or be accompanied by someone 18 or older (not sure how it is now but in my day this was not very well enforced) Quote

Deadpool's a big money maker in merch for Marvel, and I'm sure he's the one exception to the Marvel's "No More Mutants" rule for merchandising. It'd be dumb of them not to do it at this point. I hope they do, anyway, because I had to sacrifice my Deadpool fig for the sake of purist figures, and I really miss him. Quote
