DarthBrickus Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I just went to the Lego Store in Frankfurt am Main, they had everything but the Ant-Man Set. I couldn't help myself and got everything but the Fun-Land. Quote
DarthBrickus Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) I just build Carnage's Shield Sky Attack and that Set is seriously everything a Super Heroes-Fan could wish for. The Minifigs are 10/10 and the Flyer looks seriously cool and totally playable, if not displayable. The only thing that bothered me the tiniest bit is that carnage seems to be made in china... His Torso has no mark on the neck and his hands were in that 90 degree position that is a sign for chinese production afaik. Edited June 1, 2015 by DarthBrickus Quote
Ojik Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 The Winter Soldier promo will available at ShopAtHome for each country, or only at Us? Bytheway the mk33 iron man is a must buy awesome figure It looks only in the US. Which is very annoying, the only chance we had in Europe was for VIPs when purchasing the Helicarrier early. Damn you, LEGO, had I known it, I would have already purchased the sets back in March somewhere else for more reasonable prices. Instead I kept waiting til today, prepared to make an order at S@H, Quote

There's been a few different Darth Maul figures that have arm printing and they've all been Chinese plastic. I'm betting Starfire from the funhouse is too. Quote

HawkLord Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 That Silver Centrurion looks fantastic. Granted it's another Iron Man, but the shoulder/chest armor makes it more than just a repaint. I wish it wasn't tied to a game though... Quote
Steph 104th Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 You mean hands/arms/hip pieces? It is, though that's not how LEGO usually counts pieces. No, I think he means actual pieces, remember the poly comes with blue thrust pieces as well Quote
Douglas_Jon Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I have read somewhere that whilst DC looks to be dominating ComicCon this year with TV Announcements, Movie Announcements, Game Announcements etc, Marvel is apparently not going to be there. Apparently there will be no Marvel tables, and no Marvel announcements of any sort. So since Marvel aren't showing up this year, do you think we will still have a Marvel SDCC Exclusive Minifigure? Or will it go another series (Simpsons, Doctor Who)? Or will DC get two Minifigures considering this is going to be a huge event for them? Quote
Nekchir Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Aren't the new Ant-Man sets supposed to come out this month? Quote
Douglas_Jon Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Aren't the new Ant-Man sets supposed to come out this month? Due out today in fact, but there's been a delay in some places as Marvel have recalled the sets recently to make it a tiny bit bigger. Quote

For one thing, I think Disney wants to save all of their Marvel hype for their own biyearly convention D23. I'd say the exclusive figures are more for Lego's benefit than Marvel's or DC's, so I doubt that will affect it. It wouldn't be too hard to believe that they'd do a Doctor Who promo of some sort, or at least reveal a set in that theme at SDCC this year. I'm so tired of people asking for Coulson. He is a middle aged man with a receding hairline in a suit! Lego gives us a flawless and unique Iron Man fig with arm and side of the leg print and people are complaining that we didn't get a soccer-dad with the personality of carboard. Here's a secret: make a purist custom! you could do it in 5 seconds! You should be grateful that Lego gives us excellent figures like these. Coulson will likely never happen, as children and parents would probably be upset and confused that they paid $60 for a video game and all they got is an old dude in his business attire. Coulson's one of the most beloved characters in the MCU! My god, he's the star of a pretty successful tv show, I doubt anybody who'd pre-order the game would be tremendously confused! You think every 6-year-old kid knew who Plastic Man was? The exclusives are more for the older fans or straight-up nerds for the license than the general audience. Quote
wesker Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I find him to be one of the more annoying characters in the MCU. Never understood the appeal of the character. I'm glad we're getting a new Iron Man variant over Coulson. Quote

Ultron Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Me neither, he's just a guy... The guy who helped assemble the avengers!! Seriously guys, he's the link between the phase 1 movies, and he leads a show. He's huge in the MCU. Quote

Marvel may not be at SDCC, but LEGO will be, and they're the ones that give them out. Quote
ponyboy Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) As far as the Coulson thing. Sure, he is a good character but the Marvel Universe has hundreds and hundreds of characters(and suit variants). Coulson is just a guy in a suit, sure for fans like us he's a big thing but kids love Iron Man and this is a kid's game so in having another Iron Man figure, Lego gets to appeal to the kids who like Iron Man AND the adults who like Iron Man whereas a Coulson really won't be appealing to most people. Personally, I'd prefer a character like Shocker or Mysterio, maybe even someone like Blackbolt. Actually, when the last game came out they released Iron Patriot which if I remember right was around Iron Man 3 so at least it would make sense. If I was in charge, I would release a classic Hank Pym Ant-Man suit. That way they could connect to fans of the movie. And he is my second favorite character so I'm a little biased! Legocity2713 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Just because you don't want him, doesn't mean the rest of us don't. I want more Shield figs, so Coulson is very welcome in my book. Eh. I liked Coulson before it was cool. (Ya know, before his death and the TV show) Edited June 1, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote

BrickBuilder3213 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 So, both Spidey sets are on the UK Lego Shop site for purchase, but the Ant-Man set is nowhere to be seen. Quote

Ultron Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I hope this means we can get Mysterio and maybe even Kraven if they're doing Sinister Six Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) So, both Spidey sets are on the UK Lego Shop site for purchase, but the Ant-Man set is nowhere to be seen. It's there alright: http://shop.lego.com...Listing=listing - you can place an order for it too, it just has an expected ship date of 12th June, obviously due to LEGO trying to remedy the problems with the set I must admit, I'm pretty annoyed the UK isn't getting the Winter Soldier promo as I was planning a lot of purchases this month, we just get a Friends freebie that only comes with Friends purchases. I don't even buy any Friends Edited June 1, 2015 by TheOneVeyronian Quote

Kire Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Unless you are actually attending SDCC the obvious choice for an exclusive Marvel figure would be Coulson. 1. A lot of kids don't find him appealing due to not watching the show so only the die hard collectors will want him 2. A figure such as Mysterio or the Shocker would receive heavy backlash, just as much backlash as the Collector did last year. Even though he was not important at all even his role in GOTG was very subpar, people complained since he was a villain. Lego has very few Marvel villains compared to Hero ratio. The ratio is barely evening out. Quote
