Legocity2713 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Listen here sonny, back in my day every single minifigure had the same face and we were glad to have it! Kids these days, get off my lawn, et cetera. LOL!!! Quote

K-Nut Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I'm fine with most figures (Ant Man, Yellowjacket, Cap, SW), but I agree that Hank should've had a new face. Listen here sonny, back in my day every single minifigure had the same face and we were glad to have it! Kids these days, get off my lawn, et cetera. Can this just be the title of this topic? Quote
Butterfingers27 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 That new Iron Man wouldn't fit in with the other mini figs at all Neither does the Hulkbuster, and it's still awesome. Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Oh yea! Well, well that's something very special Why aren't all minifigs (especially Iron Men figures) coming with this sort of effort? I'm somewhat annoyed that the super cheap Chinese knock off figures come with more printing than the real figures! Quote

But I think I've just gotten used to us getting new faces all the time. I mean the Tumbler gave Batman a new face but the Helicarrier gave us pretty much everything from other sets besides Maria Hill and Nick's proper uniform! Edited June 5, 2015 by MODOCTORDOOM Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 If nothing else, I'd hope they'd adopt side printing on heads. I'm sick of Nick Fury's magic floating eyepatch and Cap's forever wingless cowl. Quote

Chookdude Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Got the quintet for my birthday really looking forward to building it but I'm kind of disappointed in the size of the truck it should have been much bigger Quote
Legocity2713 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Damn, decisions decisions. Should I get Winter Soldier now or wait until Civil War sets. Im scared to see if they don't make any sets or if WS isn't in it. A little help from the community would be appreciated. Quote

Nothing really made me want to spend $75 on LEGO so I got him separate. If you do have the $75 and your wishlist is that amount in LEGO then go for it. Maybe wait a bit if you want to get him seperate and the price will go down (which it currently is) but wait too long and it will go up crazily. Case in point Hulk minfig. (This really isn't a spoiler.) Having him in a set would be nice. I think we'll probably be getting the Avengers and then some (heroes wise) in the sets. Edited June 6, 2015 by NuffSaid1996 Quote

Yeah, I'm thinking about the Juniors Green Goblin set, Ant Man, 4 Simpsons figs, and a Supergirl and Green Lantern keychain. Thank you so much for your help. Quote

I am pretty darn confident that there will be Civil War sets and that Winter Soldier will be in them, for whatever that's worth to you. So the question is mainly whether you want an MCU Winter Soldier or the more comic-booky one out now. And like others said, only go for it if you actually have $75 worth of sets on your wish list; I wouldn't recommend buying a bunch of stuff you don't really want just to get a promo fig. Quote

Guess we'll have to wait and see. Anyways, is the Ant-Man set worth getting? It seems cool but I think I could just BL the figs. Quote

I just bought two for my purist ideas. Jangbricks has put up a review of the sandman and rhino set. Edited June 6, 2015 by Marvel_Geek Quote
Kire Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Bought the Ant-man set drunkenly last night with some friends. Fun build, first time messing with the super jumpers and noticed it is very hard to remove the figures legs once the figure is on them. Also the figs are pretty cool, only complaint is how big Wasp's backpack was. Once get the Ultron mK1 figure I may recreate the original age of ultron comic version compared this MCU version which I wasn't fond of. Quote

Legocity2713 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Can anyone post a pic of the 2012 recent Catwoman with a black whip instead of a brown one? The black whip comes in the Ghostbusters set (which I don't have) but I am placing an order and wondering if I should add the black whip to it too. Upon seeing it I will make my decision, so I would be very appreciative if someone could post a pic of Catwoman with a black whip instead of a brown one. Thanks. Quote

Yeah, there's been a problem with those cracking minifig legs if they aren't used properly. That's why I don't use mine at all. I'd love to see that MOC! I think not using Hank Pym for that arc in the movies was a mistake, especially after watching Avengers: EMH a few weeks ago. I wonder if anybody's made a good-looking comic-accurate Ultron mK1, the evil-looking tube version? Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I'd say this is marginally related to the topic at best, but it seems like something we should keep in mind in the future when we discuss X-Men or Fantastic Four sets. http://comicbook.com/2015/06/05/marvel-comics-is-not-marvel-licensing-the-x-men-and-fantastic-fo/ Quote
