Really Lego...really...

"Throne of Ultron"

Well at least there's no new figures...although it looks rather good.

Edit: Oh no wait, apparently there will also be exclusive figures. :hmpf_bad:

What!? Is that an exclusive?? Why Do you hate us LEGO!

Edit: And now exclusive figures!? Whyyyyy

Well that looks good. Shame.

Is this the same Ultron we have with the Quinjet ? Haven't built mine yet...

Everything looks the same, but it does not have printing in the helmet pieces as opposed to the quinjet one.

"Throne of Ultron--Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive"

Well at least there's no new figures...although it looks rather good.

This looks like a really good set. Hopefully this goes on sale after Comic Con, will probably pick it up if i can. Not sure what the exclusive figures will be, but i'm definitely interested. Either that or will simply order the pieces.

Anyone have/know where instructions for the set are? :3

Cuople of this set together and you could probably recreate the final battle scene... which i'll probably end up trying in future :P

Hmm that looks kinda weird, no exclusives so thats great :sweet:

Nemo mentions that there apparently will be exclusives unfortunately

Reminds me of one of your build Captain Nemo. Perhaps its the black border.

This looks very cool, similar to something a major high quality action figure company like Kotobukya or something of the sorts would make as a scene, except now it is in lego form. Looks like the church from the trailers and movie and it honestly looks very cool. I really want it, perhaps more than any other SDCC set thus far.

But I'm not going to get it because I'm not going to SDCC and will not pay those high after market prices for it. :wall:

Wow, that would've been an even better battle pack.

I completely agree. Thinking about what could have been be like… :wall: :wall: :wall:

Anyway, the Ultron definitely has his own head from the Quinjet meaning the figure as a whole is not exclusive.

I believe this is the trend in these SDCC sets is that none contain an exclusive fig.

Examples:

Batman and Robin --- SDCC Batmobile and Juniors sets

Rocket Raccoon ----- SDCC Warbird and polybag

Chopper --------------- SDCC Rebels set and actual Rebels set and now…

Ultron and drones --- SDCC Throne set, and the actual Age of Ultron sets

It does not have the helmet printing though. So i guess that DOES make it exclusive..sortof

Unless you take an eraser to your current helmet… (Thank God I didn't say this over in the Purist community parts)

In my opinion, the 2012 exclusives were the best of them all. 2013 only gave us two that were truly exclusive, Spiderwoman and Green Arrow(since we didn't know about Green Arrow later).

Last year we got four minifigures, each from a different theme:

Bard, Collector, Batman, Uni-Kitty.

So this year, we'll probably get the same deal as last year, with more focused on the movies and less on comics.

Hopefully this is true because I'd rather have a Colector-like figure than someone like Age of Ultron/Cap 3 Falcon.

And Ultron does have helmet printing:

But the head underneath the helmet looks completely new.... or is it the head from the Hulkbuster set? It doesn't look like it.

Nah, trans orange from the Quinjet, I thought the same as you.

Also, on the throne, are those Hero Factory minifigure scale arm pieces connected onto a brown vine piece? <-- don't know their actual name but its those things used for legs on drones like the Spider man polybag promo.

Anyway, putting them on vines does't seem very sturdy, seems almost like an illegal technique. :look:

Crazy to think that this is almost the only church we will ever get in a modern day Lego set.

And it's a destroyed one in which a crazy, homicidal Robot and his army plot to destroy humanity :snicker:

Lol.

Say what you will about AoU, but I did rather like that there was small smidge of Ultron's god complex.

Either way, I wish there was cheaper way to get the antennae piece for Ultron..The drones look so much better with it :sceptic:

I agree, the biblical quotes were great too. The Christian (and I am one myself) references were great, especially subtle ones like Vision being pure like Christ.

And back on topic… Now that I see it in this set, I think the drones should have come with the antennae in the retail sets too. They look way better. :classic:
