[...] As for the display, I can send you the .lxf but since it is the first MOC I've done I doubt the instructions are in coherent form. It's not a very hard build (of course I say this without having actually built it) as the display "pods" are modular and the entirety of the floor is just some plates and then 2x2 tiles. It's worth mentioning that the display was made to fit Iron Patriot/War Machine with their turrets attached as well as Silver Centurion with the Chima breastplate he uses.

Would you mind sending me the lxf file, too?

%100 agreed. I've been thinking, it is ovbious a new spidey vsriant will be in the civil war sets. However could it be possible to have a peter parker? Like please LEGO?

He is easily make-able.

Frodo's Shire smiley face / Marty mcfly's face

Harry potters vest torso

Dark tan pants

sleepy head hear

Easy as that: hqdefault.jpg

I don't buy Quicksilver in Days Of Future Past as an American. But he had one super cool scene, so I can overlook him. The casting is already great but If Holland can have a big action scene that tops the train scene in Spider-Man 2 he will be THE Spider-Man for me.

Indeed i wanna see some awesome web slinging action too, and finally a better costume!

"Peter" Maximoff isn't Quicksilver for me, he's just a bad-hair-job-teenager-annoying-teleporting-time-traveling-douchebag for me or B.H.J.T.A.T.T.D

Quicksilver agent of B.H.J.T.A.T.T.D. Do you think we could get sets on that?

You're right, I don't buy it either. Teenagers with skin imperfections, that's preposterous!

Okay, you got me there. the point i wanted to make is if we get a Peter Parker minifigure it just wouldn't look right, call me weird but i just don't buy it's Peter Parker then. they are supposed to look like they do in the comics for me

I hope they decide to show us the suit soon-ish. I mean, the whole reason they announced the casting is because they're gonna have to film the Spidey scenes soon and you know it's going to leak when they do, so unless Pete left his tights at home...

Thing is they are already halfway through filming so he won't have as large a role as he did in the comics interpretation of the story, I suspect a poster by the end of the year, the same way the Vision was only teased until we finally got a full poster

Btw is this still the 2015 rumour thread? Are there still sets coming out this year?

Believe all the sets that are coming out this year in terms of Marvel have been revealed

Unless we get a surprise polybag near the end of the year.

Can they just give us a surprise 10 - minifig House Party Protocol polybag? I would pay big money for that.

Am I the only one who is sick of a) Spider-Man origin story movies and b) Spider-Man as an insecure 17-some-odd old teenager? Peter Parker to me - and granted, I don't know squat about Spider-Man comics - has always appeared as a sort of wise-cracking responsible 20-25-year-old guy who is good at being a super hero. Maybe that's just head canon. Spider-Man as an upstart youngster compared to all these other older, established heroes is getting a bit old for me.

While this is talk for the C&M thread, the decision to make Peter young is the smart one for business. It's all about longevity. Starting fresh with high school peter lets them tell more stories as we get to see spiderman grow up in MCU. I'm just glad its not miles yet (sorry miles fans here). He's not established enough to lead a movie and peter has to exist in the universe first.

That would be cool, but it'll never happen.

I'm sick of the insecurities, he shouldn't be finding who he is in the movies, a far more compelling story would be if he already knows everything about his life. I am sick of him working out the kinks and quirks of his life. While yes, he should be learning more about it, it should be done in a more fluid, more subtle sort of way like in the comic world. Also, it won't be an origin story, he will already be Spidey when we first get to meet him, which will be good since he is already more comfortable with his powers. I like the age they picked though, it is sort of how I envision him when I write my own stories and what not. As for the gap between him and the heroes, its something that was only found in the comics and never a movie, so I think it will be cool to see.

And although it is not for this thread, its just my 2 cents.

We already got him. He came with the Daily Bugle set.

I realize that, its just that we want him:

a. in a movie

b. as a Lego minifigure with a sleek dark blue helmet as he has in the comics

Actually I made the same mistake, but as posted earlier that's the Ultimate Spider-Man version of Sam Alexander, which makes little to no sense given the costume design. The fig even with the helmet removed screams Richard.

I completely understand and with or without its not that big of a deal. I too however think Peter Parker, staying faithful to the comics wouldn't have one.

However, if he would have one in the film translating it into Lego wouldn't be too bad...

Marvel's Spider-Man Unmasked (Thanks for the pic goes to Adeel Zubair, from Flickr and is also on Eurobricks) :classic:

I actually think that is a good representation of our new Peter Parker.

Huh. Sam has never had a gold helmet though. The entire design is 'Richard Rider'. Sam's get up is entirely different, top to bottom.

I've never seen the cartoon though, so I could be wrong. They may have based Sam's design off of the classic Nova Corps there. Which would be stupid, mind, but entirely possible. Hahaha.

As far as I'm concerned, it's fully Rider. Sam should have a black helmet and costume. /shrug.

I assumed it was Richard because of the gold. I had to Google it. Apparently Sam in the cartoon just has a giant gold-and-red helmet for some reason. Maybe for brighter colors for the kids?

In any case I'm just going to pretend the minifig is Richard when I put it on display. It's one of the reasons I was a MCU version of Nova, because that's probably the only way we're going to get another Nova minifig. The Nova Corps figs have some very nice detail, so I have high hopes if they ever make an MCU Nova. Which might not ever happen.

The Nova Corps in the MCU are an abomination. We've already got them too, in Lego form (I actually liked the little Nova ship, with it's retractable star shaped fins!).

I don't think Richard will appear in the films though, even if they decide to recant the attrocities foisted on the Nova Corps in GotG. Sam is THE Nova in the Marvel Universe now, with Richard dead and gone.
