Pulp Detective Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) I don't think so... A comment on Bricklink said something about Sony's deal with MB coming to an end recently, so... sets are fully plausible now, if not expect-able. :) That's good but I wish had we movie X-men based sets Edited October 6, 2014 by LOTR343 Quote
JaseTJ Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Yeah, it is pretty sad for those... But maybe eventually...? Quote
Chookdude Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I really hope we get some amazing spider man sets I would love green goblin and lizard figures Quote
RodriskisLego Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Sorry but I dunno how to post pics so I gave you guys a link. Quote
LMB10 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Lego had the chance to make sets for ASM since late 2012, they just evidently opted not to. Quote
kevkipo Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Lego had the chance to make sets for ASM since late 2012, they just evidently opted not to. I think thats good, that way they can focus on The Avengers Quote
Ultron Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Everyone just wait, it will eventually be distributed via shop at home and Lego stores with a purchase. The exact same thing happened for the clone lieutenant last year. Idk...that movie got pretty bad reviews and not too many people actually liked it. The fig isn't bad but idk if this Electro is enough of a draw to get people to splurge on sets. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Oh wow, our first Amazing Spider-Man fig and not only is it a character we already have but also from a movie that bombed so hard that it blew the sequel back a year or two! Ha! I can't think of a single good reason to get this thing other than for the parts. The head feels a little angry-Dr. Manhattan-y to me, and the torso and boots are generic enough to work with any number of characters. Really though, of all the villains in the cinematic Spider-verse and the huge Spider-verse crossover going on in the comics I can't believe they went this guy. Yeah, maybe Lizard isn't the best idea, but what about Green Goblin? He's different enough in the movie to warrant his own variant. Or skip the movie entirely and do the new Spider-Girl or Spider-Pig, or Spider-Man 2099, or any of the various Spider-people that are all over the place right now! Maybe the fact that they didn't do a character means that the next wave of Spidey sets will...? Quote
Borex Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Maybe they found the earlier Electro minifig a bit too cartoony and wanted a more mature/serious design for him? Anyway i have no use for him. Quote
Steph 104th Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) Next film is only in 2018, so we will most likely only see sets (if any) then. 2016 already has CA3(if we get any sets) and an unnamed movies. That means we could see more comic based X-men sets as we are getting X-Men Apocolypse in 2016 Edited October 6, 2014 by Steph 104th Quote

Well regardless of the movie, they still made the figure in a poly bag form so we should be seeing it soon. Quote
LMB10 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Amazing Spider-Man 3 is set for 2018, not 2016. We'll be getting comic based sets for a long time Quote
KCMatze Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Personally, I think this figure is awful and ugly Quote
jimmysnuff Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Having missed the release of both ASM2 at theatres, and then the subsequent DVD/BD release... It does make you wonder how long TLG has had a warehouse full of these poly's for? They must be like 'ok now we need to get rid of them' - send them out to the Cons etc. Like has already been mentioned a couple of times I can see these being one of the spend $50 and get a fig S@H/Lego Store deals. Rinzler Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I'm guessing NYCC, but I really, REALLY hope I'm wrong Quote

That means we could see more comic based X-men sets as we are getting X-Men Apocolypse in 2016 I really hope we see a few X-Men sets in 2016, especially with the number of fan favourite characters that are going to show up in the next movie. Only getting one set every two years isn't enough. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Here's a picture of amazing spiderman 2 electro, and there is back head and back torso printing: Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I was actually just trying to come up with a way to mod my existing Electro fig to look like the movie! The odds of this poly bag trickling out seem tragicly low, but I would like to have one. Quote
RodriskisLego Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Well, do you guys think that there's any chance lego give us Spider Man variants ( miles morales, spider girl, spider man 2099 ) due to the USM show actually has them on this new season I guess. And also, I'm i the only one thinking that it's weird that a LOT of TASM2 Electro's are appearing on Ebay only now? Quote
LMB10 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 The event took place over the last few days, so it's not really weird at all. Quote
Disco_Jedi Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Anyone have any idea about this? Found on EBay. Quote
slugdude Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I actually just read that sinister six will be a reboot and have a new actor for Spidey, so goodbye Andrew Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) Anyone have any idea about this? Found on EBay. I guess people were right about the minifigure being put in a polybag. I'm assuming this is from the Indianapolis Kid's Fest? Edit: (No, you idiot! It's a TRU exclusive.) Oh and I love the small Groot on the pot. Edited October 7, 2014 by TheLegoExperience Quote
mrbean Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) Anyone have any idea about this? Found on EBay. I'd be really happy to get this, but I can't see Lego releasing a polybag for such a popular figure when they could bundle it in a set instead. Edited October 7, 2014 by mrbean Quote
