Shib Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 So it sounds like we could be getting a Benedict Cumberbatch 'fig come 2016... We do have Smaug... I know its not the same as a proper minifigure but you know. Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 (edited) Usally we receive lego set pictures high res 3 months before set release. Avengers sets will release in March, so pictures will most probably release in January or mid decemeber. The same case happened with iron man 3 sets and with Dc superhero sets which release in January and pictures were released in October. Edited October 27, 2014 by YoshiBlockr Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 This is how Cap should look in the new avengers sets: Also Ultron should use the clone wars darth maul legs, here's an example how tall it looks compare to a regular minifigure. This could be our best option: What do you guys think about the look of this Captain America and the Darth maul clone wars legs for Ultron? Its taller than a regular minifigure and would work great. To be fair i never liked those legs About that mid December release, i love that! some little sparks before the happiest time of the year is always welcome Quote
wesker Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 A mask similar to the one in that pic would look great on Cap, but I'd prefer he had a regular flesh head underneath instead of a blue one. At least that way you'd also have the option of displaying him as Steve Rogers. Quote
SMC Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I think its time cap got an upgrade, we have two already if people do want a printed head. Quote
KCMatze Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Isn't that just a Flash headpiece painted blue with a flash head coloured blue too?! These eyes look familiar ^^ I like the idea though. But as someone stated above, better a full flesh head to get the possibility of Steve Rogers! Quote

At first i didn't like cap, but i've learned to like him ( still my fave's are Thor, Hawkeye and Quicksilver) so indeed i would like for him to get an update And to have him without helmet as Steve, i like him more without helmet Quote
SMC Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Yes if lego want to be cheap just give us a helmet less cap. Quote

kevkipo Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Ragnarok, Infinity war 1 and 2 Oh god i'm * Faint * Quote
Peasantseverywhere Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 OMG I Really hope lego are gonna really spoil us with Lego sets from all these films ! Quote
Hythonia Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) I'm crushed that it wasn't "Captain America: Serpent Society" like they first said it was. The Serpent Society is probably my favorite villain group in all of Marvel/DC. I would've loved LEGO versions of Anaconda, Bushmaster, Diamondback, etc. Edited October 28, 2014 by Hythonia Quote
rexusprime Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I think they're going with Doctor Strange in 2016 (a magic theme is better than a Cap movie about government and so on) GoTG in 2017 (even If I'd like Black Panther sets better) Avengers Part 1 in 2018 and Avengers Part 2 in 2019 Having a 2part movie is new in the superhero theme so I'm not sure what they're gonna do about it. Maybe we get 2movie waves in 2018. If so I'd really enjoy Inhumans sets! <3BlackBolt<3 Quote
mattdev25 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Black Panther is going to have a role in Cap Civil War, so that's how we'll get our BP. I think Cap will get sets and not Sorcerer Supreme because Stephen isn't really a huge hero with kids, and with Civil War, you can maximize hero minifigs. Edited October 28, 2014 by mattdev25 Quote
legofreak86 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) To be quite honest Cap 3 i could definitely see getting sets as the civil war is a superhero war with superheroes literally fighting each other so that will be a very figure heavy wave. I could see Stephen getting 1 or 2 sets. Considering the significance of Ragnarok you'd think that'd warrant a set at least, panther will probably show up later, guardians 2 i could see getting a wave then Avengers: Infinity war would probably get as many sets for each movie as AOU is. Personally i think its time that Lego Focus on the movies with this very film intensive period for marvel coming up. When they have all this wealth of movies they should really save the USM and AA sets for when there are no important movies or just finish them now as other than white tiger and AA version of iron man theres hardly anything left of significance in the TV animated universe to make. Therefore as they are doing with AOU the logical thing to do is to carry on with movies and make at least one set for each marvel movie til 2019. I'd imagine that's what the Dc superheroes line will do once 2016 'Dawns'. See what i did there? Seems next year in a smart move they are filling all the blanks for the comic style/videogame line with a JL centered wave. So that in 2016 they can start the Dc Cinematic Universe line. eldiano Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 How long is the contract between Marvel and Lego? Quote
Borador Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I hate to be the burster of bubbles, but why does everyone think we're actually getting sets from these movies? Was that stated somewhere? If not, I think it's safe to say that there will not be sets, since there were none for Cap or Thor 2. There may have been for Iron Man 3, Guardians, and The Avengers, but I still say it's more likely we aren't getting any... Quote
eldiano Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Mainly figures from iconic movies, but half the characters of the filler movies will be in the avengers' versions so maybe. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think we could see sets for the inhumans and maybe one black panther set. Of course we are getting GOTG 2 and avengers infinity war sets. They are not going to make captain marvel sets and not doing Thor 3 sets. Maybe doctor strange and cap 3 civil war sets. Quote
Ultron Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I don't know if I would rule out a Captain Marvel set. Just because she's a girl doesn't mean people and kids won't want her. If we're really getting antman set/s, I think anything is possible. Plus we need her so I'm gonna be hopeful I hate to be the burster of bubbles, but why does everyone think we're actually getting sets from these movies? Because it'd be illogical to assume we're not getting any...of course we'll get sets for some of these movies, or at least tie in sets. And if the line is still around we'll definitely be getting Infinity War sets. Quote

It has nothing to do with the 2015 sets. This should be posted in the "future sets/ set wish list" topics. Now we're going to have people posting a bunch of irrelevant stuff about movies that don't come out until years from now. Quote

JaseTJ Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I get that the thread does say "2015," but in all fairness, "Future sets/Wish list" as a topic name makes it sound like it's all about wild hopes and dreams, whereas this stuff is guaranteed to be getting at least a couple sets... And I've seen plenty of discussion in the DC thread about the Justice League and Dawn of Justice movies which aren't 'til 2017/2016 respectively... But I guess I can see where you might be bothered by lots of conversations that are rabbit trails. (Not like this is a discussion thread or anything.) But despite all that, a question that pertains somewhat to 2015 sets, as well as the future waves. Can we get a wave that has sets for more than one movie? GotG and the XJet came in a wave together, right? But XMen is comic based, since Marvel doesn't have the movie rights... So is there a licensing issue keeping them from releasing, say, three Civil War sets along with a Doctor Strange set? I understand overlooking Winter Soldier for Guardians- trying to push the obscure film, and having more heroes to build sets around- but what about movies that are more equal in nature, such as Black Panther and Thor (which will each feature at least primarily only one hero)?
