For anyone in the UK wanting the Rocket Racoon polybag they were given away at Brick 2014 this weekend and they had loads, so there should be a few on eBay soon, I managed to get one and I'm not gonna lie its absolutely incredible

@Kevkipo, its also an Avengers movie, which are Marvel pride and joy. Lego prefers making sets on movies with team it seams so that you buy all the sets to complete the team.

I'll admit a UCS dark Elf ship would be cool. But, with the exception of diehard Marvel fans, who would buy sets with "Sif, Volstagg and Malekith? The only characters casual fans would have known in Thor 2 are Thor, Loki and Captain America (He had a cameo). And Lego couldn't just put Thor and Loki in every set. They already did that in The Avengers.

I wonder how well a Thor set consisting of The Warriors Three would sell. On one hand, they are kinda obscure, albeit very cool, characters. So were the GOTG characters. Sounds like their minifigures are rather popular, especially Rocket. Collectors are going ape$hit for that polybag. And deservedly so. It's a great minifig. I think a Thor 2 set based on one of the battle scenes would sell pretty well because of the play factor. An Asgardian throne room? I'm a fan of all things Marvel, and the only reason I'd buy that set would be for the minifigures. While I'm thinking about it, I don't get the appeal for superhero minifigs in plain clothes. I mean, you can bullseye a Captain America minifig from 1000 yards, and you KNOW that's Cap. But Steve Rogers? It's a fleshie minifig with blond hair. Could be anybody. I could whip up one with pieces from my parts bin.

There are some good sets that could have been made for those films but they were not nearly as advertised as the other films we got sets for, there were no large toy lines for them and thats how a lot of the little customers find out about the franchise, not all parents drag their children into 13 restricted films.

I've seen the movie lke the characters of Sif, Warriors 3 and Malekith and would have loved to seen sets on the movie but remember who Lego's target consumer is? It is Kids and the average Kid probably won't buy a Lego set with fictional Norse Gods but they will buy Lego sets with talking Raccoons and Trees.

Regardless we have seen themes such as the Hobbit and LOTR that were directed at AFOLS and Teenagers. So that if Thor 2 or Thor Ragnarok ever got sets it would not surprise me.

Also I can tell you REALLY wanted Thor 2 sets.

The Thor movies have always felt sort of obligatory, like they have to do them for logistical reasons but no one's really asking for them. Thor 2 was kinda forgettable, to boot. :/

The avengers sets will be coming out in March 2015 which means they are spring sets.

I would have killed to get a Kurse big figure. And Malekith!

Hopefully the Dark Elves might be part of Surt's army in Ragnorak. Imagine lego Dark Elves fighting alongside bigfigure Fire Giants. We might even gethe some Kurse too (maybe Surt knew how to make them?)
