scidhuv Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 LDD/MLCad 13B Hello everyone! I'm new to LDD, of course my first project had to be a huge pirate ship... It's not done yet, I think it's too modern looking, working on making the back side less 'boxy', better railings etc. etc. Anyway who's got some feedback for me? (sorry for the crappy pics) Quote
CarrollFilms Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 That looks really cool! Phase 2: Build it Quote
scidhuv Posted July 25, 2014 Author Posted July 25, 2014 Is it not smarter to perfect it in LDD first? I thought Lego would be cheap nowadays but it really isn't (kinda weird imo) but if you experiment with reality I'll have a ton of bricks I end up not using... Quote
scidhuv Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Thank you :) I was thinking of making the hull more curved though, make it more elegant. Some of the ships on this forum are beautiful! I really like the Gilded Crow for instance. Although I don't wan't to make it lifelike, as you can see from the huge cannon on the lower floor. More like a fantasy pirate ship. Quote

Capt. Stabbin Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I think your off to a great start! You could probably find some inspiration in the Pirates Master Index, there is a ton of great stuff in there. In the meantime, I have moved your topic to the MOC forum where it is more appropriate.
