[MOC] PF Buggy 2

[Madoca 1977]

Hello everyone,

After finishing Corvette, I built simple RC buggy.

It is lighter, faster and more agile than my preceding buggy.

Weight is 590g. Total 312 parts.

The performance is not as good as RC buggy motor models...

But I enjoyed the buggy driving over obstacles at a good speed.

I used the switch to reverse right side of motor.

Tires are correct. If I were you I'd list the tires and wheels as separate parts, rather than as counterparts.

Some people mentioned that the center axis (LBG 7L axle) might be disconnected. Before finishing the model I thought of that possibility. But I had no problem when shooting the video.

I just fixed it. Tomorrow I will update the instructions and parts list.

Here's an idea. Add another reciever to independently control both rear motors. If the front is light enough you might manage to make its skid steer. In worst case scenario you can brake with one wheel and turn much sharper.

After introducing myself, I thought I should mention my first experience, as an adult, with MOCs and modifications.

As I do not own all parts to build this MOC, I tried to substitute the steering parts with the ones of the 42021 Snowmobile. After quite some time (being rusty does not help – but it’s coming back), I managed to build it keeping most of it as designed but with different steering elements. In the start it looked flimsy but started strengthening the nose (I may have overdone it!).

Finally it worked and hove to say that its design is great and both I and the kids love it as it is fast, sturdy and very playable.

I got a pair of steering hub #50301 finally and the best way to use them is to build something simple and fun to drive. Madoca's buggy is at the top of my list and here what I got. I made a few changes to loosely match a classic RC buggy with lower body. It's so fun to drive and I don't think I will dismantle it. Very nice buggy and thank you Madoca.

Hallo Madoca, thank you for this nice MOC - I really like that it's look and playability.

Only downfall for me is that it is fast and fragile (links are the weakest spots), so smaller flat is poor playground :(

One notice though - there is some inconsistency in instruction on the rear suspension central axle - actually it's mounting to the main body:
