CMP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) WBD, since it was determined that Scholars simply use throwing weapons, do the retrievable books count as throwing weapons in terms of category? (IE, suitable also for rogues, rangers, etc?) Atramor didn't even hesitate as the undead formed around Alistair and his fellows, twirling the Pheles Kris at his side as he readied his shield. "Heckz, use that Seth Bomb. It'll kill all the paladin mob, Aroosie, and all the undead except the troll and half of the mob." He used the kris to point out targets to the undead. "Have the trolls finish off Magwin and have the skeletons thin out the Skeleton Mob." "Ferfew, get in the front and try and take down that Mob. Ratabor, stay in the back and heal the Troll. Retak, just stay back. If anyone is knocked out, try and revive them from the back row." Atramor paused, glancing at Alistair, but instead his calculating mind honed in on Fervent. He pulled the Jinxy Juice out of his coat and flung at Fervent. "That should help, if only for a round. Monk, Thalion, keep that bastard occupied. Don't use darkness, it won't do crap." The regulator turned to the head necromancer. He sheathed the Pheles Kris, pulled out the Tiger Claws, and slashed at Alistair from the front row (twice). Battle Order Atramor vs. Alistair (Tiger Claws) - Heckz Pretzel Thalion Troll Revolutionaries vs. Magwin Skeleton Revolutionaries vs. Skittish Skeletons Ferfew vs. Skittish Skeletons >Ratabor heals Torpid Troll >Retak Ysp does nothing/revives Edited August 31, 2014 by CallMePie
Palathadric Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) Thalion nods, hands Monk Dual Staff and picks up his Alpha and Omega. "Now that's more like it!" he says, as he follows Atramor into the hallway. I should have the Dual Staff and Thalion should have the Alpha and Omega. "I knew this would happen. That's why we should have cleared off the undead first!" I stare in surprise as Atramor gives concise rules in rapid succession. "I'll be! At least you've got a good mind inside that stubborn head." I stare down at the paladin. "What kind of paladin are you anyway who sides so readily with necromancers?" I hammer down on Fervent with both ends of the Dual Staff from the Front Row. CMP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 "Monk, that staff ain't gonna do anythin', he's more holy than he looks."
Palathadric Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 "Monk, that staff ain't gonna do anythin', he's more holy than he looks." I grunt in annoyance. How is it that shady fellow knows more about my stuff than I remember. "Shouldn't have put that diamond in there," I grumble as I hit Fervent with my Heavy Flail.

Palathadric Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Would my Fragilizing Fervent affect only this round or next one as well? Thalion attacks Commander Fervent (and Paladin Cohort) with Fire Spell from back row. "Thalion, strike Fervent twice. The Paladins will be defeated when Heckz throws his bomb."
Waterbrick Down Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) QM Note: Sorry Pie, the books were meant to be suitable to Scholars only, I missed that change with the official release of the Scholar class. Aroosie's drops have been removed, otherwise it would be a little too good as far as loot is concerned. "Make sure you ask him how he was slain heroes." Aroosie eyes the heroes before he is consumed by the blast, he merely nods before his body is disintegrated leaving only his scrolls behind. Thalion unleashes a stupefying spray of fireballs finishing off nearly all the rest of the undead. Retak's army claw through the were-vulture and disassemble the other mob of remaining corpses. CMP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I might be missing something, but 100 x 2 - 3 = 197 for the Seth Bomb, (62 x 2 - 3) x 2 = 242 for my hit, 42 - 3 = 39 for Thalion's Razzmatazz, should leave Alistair with 272 health, right? Atramor moved to slash the Torpid Troll twice from the front row. "Everyone pile on Fervent, front row. Undead, have at that old green bastard." Battle Order Undead vs. Alistair Atramor vs. Torpid Troll (Tiger Claws) - Heckz Pretzel Thalion Ferfew vs. Fervent Ratabor vs. Fervent Retak Ysp vs. Fervent Also unsure if you want to autoroll or not until Guardian Angel is no longer in effect.

CMP Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 "You'd best do some explaining after this Fenarian, I never knew the Cherubian to tell a lie." "I don't care how truthful he was. In my experience, listenin' to your enemies doesn't do anyone any good. Remind me to tell you about the time one of our own talked himself into worshippin' a would-be goddess of destruction," remarked Atramor plainly.
Palathadric Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I Repeat my Attack. "Well, clearly your lieutenant has been more greatly empowered by the light than you, commander? Since when have even the paladins abandoned their rightful duty? I thought they were the last remaining light in this dark world...seems even some of them have gone astray! Disappointing! Bitterly disappointing. "I agree with our lieutenant though. I would like to know how you died, Retak. Necromancy is not an art quickly learned, clearly it is not one that you originally picked up for the returning the dead to their graves. I am beginning to suspect what may have been the cause of your death..."
Palathadric Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Lieutenant Ferfew, encouraged by the presence of her Guardian Angel which no doubt proves that she's fighting on the right side, Hits Fervent hard from the Front Row. "We all make mistakes, just some people are more ready to patch theirs up," I mutter.

CMP Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Alistair should be dead. "I came to save innocents and kill monsters. I won't be walkin' away from this one disappointed." Atramor stowed his Tiger Claws. Cracking his knuckles, he moved into the front row to attack Fervent unarmed.
Palathadric Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 (edited) Wait, Alistair is defeated or not? "Fervent, listen to your lieutenant. She speaks well, you can tell that the angels of Ennoc side on our side. Even if they are making out in a corner instead of protecting us... Anyway, it was very wrong of you to attack a priest as you did. I would have expected more from you. You have given yourself over to necromancers and in doing so sided with the enemy of Ennoc. Ennoc may forgive you, but for being blind to the truth when it was laid out plainly before you makes me wonder if you are true servant of the light or just a heathen clothed in the robes of righteousness. If you surrender, I shall take you to the temple of Ennoc and pehaps a priest shall preside judgement, but you shall be stripped of all titles, armour, and weaponry until the time that you are indeed cleared of this grave and grievous offense you have committed against the bodies of the dead." I Repeat my Attack, assuming he doesn't surrender and give up his drops. Edited September 2, 2014 by Palathadric
Waterbrick Down Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 Commander Fervent looked with anger at Pretzel, apparently he would need to try a different approach. "How quaint that you should berate me for following my orders. As a paladin, you should know that the order dictates policy and not your mere whims. As far as grievous offenses, it is you who have struck down my honorable men, it is you whom have sided with the abomination. If you appeal to your angelic charges as witness to your moral superiority in the issue, need I remind you that Zoot himself was served by angels of light."
-obelix- Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Thalion casts a Lightning bolt at Fervent (twice) from back row.

If you appeal to your angelic charges as witness to your moral superiority in the issue, need I remind you that Zoot himself was served by angels of light." "Whose orders, may I ask? Please do not tell me that there are more servants of light who are in league with necromancers. It is against everything that we, as children of the light, stand for. One must follow orders, but I would assume you were made a commander, because you knew how to make decisions and were trusted to make decisions that would follow the path of the Lord of Light. Instead, it seems, you have leant to your own understanding. I do not side with an abomination, I set the captives of shadow free. That is my calling. Perhaps you would not understand since you seem to have only the most basic of knowledge regarding the light and the power and position of God on some matters. The dead must be treated with respect and not forced to work in camps such as these. Would you not even prefer to have this place closed to the undead so that you would not need to mingle with their kind down here? Truly, it is all for the best. Now surrender so the hand of God will not be forced to chastise His disobedient child too severely...if you truly are His child that is." Edited September 2, 2014 by Palathadric
Waterbrick Down Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 "My orders come from the counsel to the high priestess herself and of course I would have things different than they are, but this is a world of grays. Without the undead, there would be no feasible way of maintaining such a plane as this, it is a necessary evil. The power of evil must at time be contained and diverted for the cause of the good and the necessary."
