-obelix- Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 "Everyone, get over here!" In the mean time, he picks up and examines the knife, the axe, the red thing in the corner.
Waterbrick Down Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Thalion examines the knife and axe and they appear to be ordinary tools, practically useless in a fight. The red thing happens to be a femur with muscle still attached.
-obelix- Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Realizing that tools have probably been used to mutilate the man on the table, Thalion throws them in disgust, turns around, examines and tries to and open the door.
CMP Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 "Thalion, hold the hell on a minute, isn't there a good chance this door leads right to whoever did this? I want to make sure there's not another army waitin' at the end of those tunnels to be called out. Hell, he could have hostages down there too. They're wide open, but as long as these doors remain shut we only have one thing to deal with." Atramor grabbed one of the larger bones out of the barrel, removes the peasant's vest and wraps it around the end of the bone, lighting the wrap of cloth with the flint and steel. "And here's our second torch."
Palathadric Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "Lordy, Lord! What's going on down here," I mumble. I dig with my Magic Shovel. In the other room, I check to see if the cloak of the Paladin is useful or if there are any other clues or items of interest on his body.
CMP Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "We're standing on a tiled floor ya' crazy old bastard..." Atramor shook his head. He'd gotten too used to having weathered allies at his side.
Palathadric Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "People hide their best loot under loose tiles, you know." I shake my head. These young folks always think they're so clever.
Cutcobra Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "What the..." Heckz walks over to the torture room when Thalion called them. He swallowed his vomit so he didn't look weak. He then looks at Atramor as the regulator makes a torch out of simple things. "Oh you're so clever aren't you?" He said sarcastically. "I'll go with Thalion and the depressed cleric, I forgot his name, to the right darkenned hallway. You go with Pretzel to the left darkenned hallway."
CMP Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "Why, so you can get your unarmored megablocks handed to you if we get into a fight? Pretzel, take Ratabor and Heckz down the right hall, me and Thalion will go left."
Palathadric Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "Are you sure you don't want a healer on your team?" I query.
CMP Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "I don't take much damage and can kill undead the fastest. Between me and Thalion I think we can handle it without takin' too many hits."
Cutcobra Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "As long as badly dressed people aren't in my party..." He says as he motions to Pretzel and Ratabor to the right darkened hallway.
Waterbrick Down Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 "Thalion, hold the hell on a minute, isn't there a good chance this door leads right to whoever did this? Atramor grabbed one of the larger bones out of the barrel, removes the peasant's vest and wraps it around the end of the bone, lighting the wrap of cloth with the flint and steel. "And here's our second torch." Atramor now has a second torch. "Lordy, Lord! What's going on down here," I mumble. I dig with my Magic Shovel. In the other room, I check to see if the cloak of the Paladin is useful or if there are any other clues or items of interest on his body. Pretzel finds he is missing his magic shovel and in fact his entire bag is empty. The Paladin's cloak is of no value and no other clues or items of interest seem to be visible. The party surveys the hall and looks at the two other hallways both of which seem to be lined with similar doors as the one in the main hall. The party also hears a muffled call from somewhere behind them in the room with the corpse on the table.
CMP Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Atramor stared at what seemed to be a frozen skeleton, glanced back at the torture room, and grumbled at the muffled call. "Alright, alright....we'd better head back to corpse and see what's behind that door."
Waterbrick Down Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) Everyone heads back into the "torture room" and opens the door to what appears to be a walk-in ice chest. As they open the doors a shivering cold U'kin pushes out. "Don't shoot, don't kill me, which is what you'd do if you shoot me, so please don't!" Edited August 2, 2014 by Waterbrick Down
-obelix- Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Thalion looks at the U'Kin and lowers his weapon slightly, "Who are you and what are you doing here?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 "Please sir, don't be angy at me, I'm only a fearful janitor who I ask you don't be angry with. I am U'reeves which is who I am. And I'm hiding of course which is what I am."
Cutcobra Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "Don't you work here? Did you 'accidentally' get trapped in there or did someone else put you there?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 "Of course I work here, that is quite apparent. I was hiding from the mob of undead out there which is what I was hiding from. Would have rather froze to death than be torn apart and eaten alive in my own kitchen, far worse than freezing to death."
Palathadric Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Pretzel finds he is missing his magic shovel and in fact his entire bag is empty. Sorry, forgot completely about this. "I've seen this sort before. They're troublemakers. The last one I met unleashed a horde of demons on a poor, unsuspecting village. I bet he's up to some no good down here."
Waterbrick Down Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 "No, no. I am only a simple janitor and cook which is what I am."
Palathadric Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 "So, you worked for the ones who did this?" I demand, waving at the macabre scene.
Waterbrick Down Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 "I'm the one who did it, is there a problem with what I've done."
Palathadric Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I stare at U'kin in disbelief. Is he admitting to committing this atrocity? Something doesn't seem right. "So, what exactly have you done here and for what purpose?" I wonder, more puzzled than anything else.
Waterbrick Down Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 "For feeding the undead of course, what else do you feed the departed? Don't worry, he was already dead so there's no need for worry."
