Gabor Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) Hi! It's my entry for the 200 contest! This is a ship with a yellow submarine. Hope you like it! Part count is exactly 200! The creation has four functions, two of them are controlled by hand, and two are controlled by the two black gears at the rear (but by hand ): - telescopic crane - posable robotic arms on the submarine - high or low position of the crane - control the reel inside the ship to put the submarine into the water Thanks for watching! Appie Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Very cool model and with a cute little submarine no less. I am glad somebody made a boat for this contest, because I felt we were missing one in the line up of entries Great job! Quote
PROlego Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I like it, but think the antenna is too big/out of place. Maybe without it you will have enough parts to add wheels (I know boats don't have wheels but LEGO will include them on a set to allow for better playing experience and the motto of the contest is "imagine your MOC being sold as a real LEGO set". PeterZeppelin Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 I like it! And it's something refreshing different. Not a truck, car, plane or something. Quote

Zerobricks Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Nice to see a water vehicle! Can you maybe make the crane turn? Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) Great to see a ship for the mini contest . I like your R.O.V. Edited July 28, 2014 by VFracingteam Quote
dignow Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 That's a really cool ship/sub. Thanks for sharing! Quote
Erik Leppen Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Great use of panels to create the hull shape, and great color scheme. Good set for sure. Quote
Gabor Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 (edited) Thanks everyone! It's a pleasure hearing your nice words! @PROlego: I didn't want to use wheels, they contain too many elements. But the ship has four small legs, and the direction of the arch on the end of them makes easy to push the ship on the carpet! @Zblj: It's possible, but with more elements (turntable, and mechanism, which take the driving through the turntable). And I think the ship falls over, if we turn the crane out! Edited July 31, 2014 by Gabor Quote
Gabor Posted August 4, 2014 Author Posted August 4, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone! I made another gif, which shows the mechanism of the crane! The big technic panels don't disturb us in it, we can see everything clearly: Edited August 4, 2014 by Gabor Quote
