That new Ninjago battle pack should include Anacondrai Cultists instead of Ghost Warriors if Kai and Jay are in their tournament robes.

Nothing new for Ninjago. The Stone Army Battle Pack included Jay and Zane in their ZX forms.

How did you know that name?

It says it on the packaging. the other one's name is Howla. Not sure if that one is exclusive as I haven't kept up with the villains for this wave.

These ghosts have too many different names. I don't know them all, but if somebody would make a list it would go over 15.

I actually made a list of all the ghost's names:

  1. Wrayth
  2. Pyrrhus
  3. Bansha
  4. Pitch
  5. Ghurka
  6. Wail
  7. Ghoultar
  8. Ming
  9. Cyrus
  10. Cowler
  11. Hackler
  12. Attila
  13. Spyder
  14. Yokai
  15. Soul Archer
  16. Wooo
  17. Howla
  18. Morro
  19. Evil Green Ninja

19 in total, that is quite a lot if I'm honest, and I'm not even counting the Ghost Master's lower half variants here.

Hackler = Attila then Churka

Pitch = Cowler, then Wail

And Soul is actually Bansha.

Not sure what you mean? If you're talking about designs, you're a bit off. Here's my post from earlier:

Other than the four ghost masters (Bansha, Wrayth, Soul Archer, and Ghoultar) there are basically only three ghost minion designs:

  • Hood, red eyebrows, and torso with no sash. All four Ghost Ninja use this design, as does Ghost Warrior Yokai (who also has a sword holder).
  • Straw hat, black balaclava, and torso with no sash. Ghost Warriors Wail and Pitch both use this design. Pitch also has a pannier.
  • Straw hat, red eyebrows, and torso with sash. Ghost Warriors Cyrus, Pyrrhus, Ghurka, and Cowler all use this design. Ghurka also has a quiver. Cowler also has a sword holder in 70736, but not in his other appearances.

Of the two new ghosts, Howla appears to share the basic Ghost Ninja design, but Wooo has face and torso decorations unlike any of the ghost minions we've seen, as well as headgear like Wrayth and Soul Archer.

That torso is actually a bit different from the standard one. Aside from the now purple arms, the blue cloth design that appears on the other ghosts appears to be tucked inside of Howla's robes rather than hanging out of them.

I really like the uniqueness of these two ghosts compared to the 3 main types of ghost warrior that appear in the sets. I'm still a bit confused why Lego would give a bunch of the ghosts in the sets different names even though they're the exact same minifigure though. But overall, the battle pack looks pretty good, I probably will pick this one up if I see it. They're about £10 in the UK right?

I would say so. Between £8 and £10 would have been my guess. I remember picking up the last Chima battle pack early (before it's release on S@H) in Legoland Windsor, and I might take a trip up there tomorrow to try and get myself quite a few of the new Ninjago sets, and I'll keep my eyes open for the battle pack. They could have it out, it's worth a look!

Out of all of the ghosts. my favorite designs are Ghoultar (because of the skeleton), Morro-possessed Lloyd, and maybe Wooo if his head is cool (also love his incredibly cheesy and silly name!) I do think it's lame how they combine parts of so many of the same ghosts and try to call them different. My least favorites would be Bansha (unrealistically pretty) and Morro (silly facial expression). Any ghost with the new tail is good, though, since I really like that piece.

Huh, you're right. I was away from my computer this weekend so it was hard for me to make a real side-by-side comparison. A battle pack is the last place I would have expected to see two brand-new ghost variants!

Strangely, the out-of-package picture is different from the packaging shot, in that the figures in the packaging appear to have Earth Blue or Black arms rather than Medium Lilac ones.

Oh, and the Product Page on the Ninjago website now has animations of the sets. Even for the US site, interestingly, despite the sets not yet being out over here.

KX, Deepstone and airjitzu are my favorites because I love how they added more black and their elemental colors were secondary. But I also love NRG because of color combinations.

I made a video showing every Kai figure, including Deepstone, Airjitzu and Ninjago Magazine variants.

Impressive mega comparison! Zukin, Kimono and Deepstone are my favorites, though this discussion belongs in a different thread.

I'm really liking the new Deepstone robes. The dark base colors work really well. I don't understand the Arijitzu Zane fig, since it tries to awkwardly combine his NRG and Titanium Ninja looks.

Where did the name "Zukin" ever come from concerning the hooded suits anyway? All official sources I know of (the Tournament app and Shadow of Ronin) referred to them as "Jungle".

We are talking about details from the sets themselves, aren't we?

It's simply due to their design. I go JX, Jungle or Zukin. Either way they work.

Having though about it, we had "_X" names for all of the suits, but now with reoccurring first letters (Dragon Extreme (DX) and Deepstone Armor) it'll be hard to do that. Unless of course we start a code for different armors as well, in which we could also include the Stone Armor variants of the Ninja's Techno Robes as well as the Kendo Armor.

Something like (Kai is an example):

Kai KA (Kendo Armor)

Kai SA (Stone Armor)

Kai DA (Deepstone Armor)

Should we make this a thing?

It would certainly be interesting if we could. Would the original suit have a abbreviation or would it just be referred to as normal. Also how would we distinguish between the Techno Robes, which I assume would be TX, and the Tournament Robes.

Also to continue with the discussion the KX versions (Kimono?) are my favorite but the DA are quickly growing on me.

I'm also curious as to how you think it is trying to combine the NRG look with the Titanium.
