PenPlays Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) It would certainly be interesting if we could. Would the original suit have a abbreviation or would it just be referred to as normal. Also how would we distinguish between the Techno Robes, which I assume would be TX, and the Tournament Robes. I've never given the suits that were given to the Ninja as part of the trend. The original robes and the Tournament robes (and the Kendo Armor initially) were the ones where this idea applied. An example of differentiating between them on an list (with Kai again): Kai (Original Robes-when speaking of the outfit, it would have to be specifically stated) Tournament Kai (Tournament Robes) So basically the list of gear turns out like this: (Original robes/first suits/starter gear) DX ZX KA NRG KX TX SA Tournament Robes JX DA Airjitzu Edited June 9, 2015 by Penkid11 Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Sorry to Interrupt your costume code, but the DB2 is huge. By far one of the coolest Ninjago sets to date. While the REX takes first place. Both designs are soo amazingly detailed. Not to mention Airjitzu is 50x better than the Spinners. The new figures also looked awesome if you take the face mask pieces and add hair instead of the new masks which are equally as cool! Wow if have soon much to say but I don't know how to say it. If you have any questions about either set, ask away! Quote

Could you also take some photos of the engine transformation. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 To the handle yes. You can slip it right out after construction. Theven handle is not strong enough for the entire ship. I took it out. As for the engine. I'Ll see what I can do. Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Cheers! Because I’m planning to buy it when it’s released in Adelaide, Australia, but it’s taking an awfully long time as usual. Quote
cooper ace Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) If you're in Australia you can order then off Shop At Home Edited June 9, 2015 by cooper ace Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 If you're in Australia you can order then off Shop At Home I know, but those prices tend to be higher than normal shops, and I also don't like to order online (delivery stuff gets tacky ). Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 That's weird, they're STILL unavailable via their online service. So if I call them up, I should be able to buy all the new parts from the Ninjago sets I want? Correct? That is correct. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 That is correct. Thanks, I'll give it a try a bit later, I need to ring them up anyway to complain about another BnP order so may as well slip it in. Anyway, I started building Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty, and finished the dragon, which I generally like very much. But there was many aspects of the dragon I wasn't really a fan of, like the disproportionate wings, stubby legs and (worst of all) the hip connection with useless ball joints that got in the way of the legs. So I modified it to address a variety of issues, most of them to improve poseability (full list of mods are in the Flickr description): Ninjago 70738 Ghost Dragon mod by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr If anybody wants additional pics of the modified dragon in different poses, just ask. I will get some comparison pictures of the old and new Destiny's Bounty in the next day or two Quote

TheOneVeyronian Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Yah the dragon kinda sucked, lots of odd useless studs, and those additional ball joints kinda weirded me out. It's just a case of "it looked better on the box art" I think. But it's really easy to get rid of the additional ball joint, it actually got me wondering "why the heck did they even use that piece in the first place" . Pull the pieces with the balljoints out of the body, then get 2 black Technic balljoints, 4 black 1x3 thin liftarms, a 6M axle (though I used 2 of these, it does the same thing) and 2 axle pins and put them in the way I have them in the photo I posted earlier. It does not alter the limb positions and it removes the weird additional balljoints Quote
horizon Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) As for the robes: cool to see them all together. Must say the last two variants are somewhat iffy. Favourite is the ZX variant for me. Followed by the original ones. The jungle and DX variants on a tird third place. Since we modded our Destiny Bounty to have a real cabin at the back I am curious to see the comparision pictures! You're probably right (I use axles with stop ridges at the wings, and would have used them on the legs but it would have made the hips ridiculously wide and unfaithful to the original set), I just can't help but think there may have been a more aesthetically pleasing and generally better option. As they were, the extra balljoints collided with the legs and severely limited their forward movement. I've shared another view of my modified dragon on Flickr showing it using it's wings as front legs, a la Smaug fashion, in case anybody was curious how it looked on all fours Quote

CET23 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) In order to get a better grasp of all the minifigures in the ghost army I grouped all of the minifigures together based on their titles given to them in the set descriptions and came up with this: http://imgur.com/a/lcub3 . It seems to be that if you are only looking at specific minifigure designs rather than individual names you can restrict this army down to Morro's two variants, the four ghost masters, the ghost ninjas, the two types of ghost warriors, and then the two from the battle pack. This gives you only 11 different minifigures as opposed to the 19 you get when you only look at the names. I know a few people have already tried to explain the different variants of the ghosts in this thread, but I find this picture album much easier to read over since it has all of the ghosts pictures in one place. CET23 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 That's a great chart, but Wooo actually has a unique head. That's interesting I didn't know that. However when I said headpiece I was referring his mask rather than his head. I supposed I should of used headgear instead. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Oh, I was confused. But, strangely, as long as the Airjitzu Temple doesn't have another ghost with that head, Wooo does have a unique head print. Quote
