Zane always was a "full-on robot" really. He was just never shown to be

Yeah, I know. I just didn't really know how to put it. He's not a cyborg, but he looked human. I was saying how he now looks like a robot.

The proper term for that would be "android", from which the term "Nindroid" is derived. In any case, I have no problem with what Zane looks like so long as he's the Zane we know and love.

Didn't Wu get cybernetic implants when he went bad-guy (I don't watch the show), because I bet removing those involves a lot of bed-rest.

They sort of "fizzled" in Episode 31. After that he was fine for the rest of the season.

Orange Ninja's name is...

Skylar, or Skylor/Skyler. It's on the box of the set he comes in.

This was on the page eurobricks dropped me off on when I clicked through to the topic, and I decided to hit multiquote and go through the rest of the pages because I was sure somebody caught it first, and of course Lyichir did. But my kneejerk reaction to seeing the name was "Oh righteous, that's a girl's name"

Surely we're due for a new comprehensive character encyclopedia next year, huh? Next best thing to being able to have a full set of figures - and I've missed a lot of figures so far.

Well, Skylar can be a boy's name too. But I'm pretty sure the fig in those pics has printed curves like most Lego ladies, which is what led me to that conclusion. I'm excited to see what roles she and the other new characters play in next year's story.

Maybe we'll see a new character encyclopedia next year, but I'd personally prefer some other type of guidebook we haven't had yet. I guess we'll see.

I can't see any curves? The rest of the armor styles for the ninja look very similar.

Dr. Cogg, thank you, but we've already seen them both.

It is definitely a girl. you can see the printed curves on the torso

Actually you can't.

I hate to break the whole "YAY! A girl Ninja!" party, but Skylar is a gender neutral name. I've known both men and women with variations of this name.

The leaks are extremely close to the leaks, so I'm not going to go all in.

Just some things I've noticed:

There are two Anacondrai! (Besides Pythor)

The enemy in the Jungle Raider is named "Kapau" (I love me some puns  ).

I'm really loving the looks of this new Ninja team (Skylar, white/red robed Sensei-like character, and the Shogun guy)

A bit disappointed they didn't change the name of the Boulder Blaster. Now there will be confusion for the rest of our days

Just one problem here...

Which set am I gonna get first!?!?!?!

The white-red robed weirdo and the Shogun are both bad guys. Sorry to burst the bubble. You can however, see some slight black curves. Someone please slap me around the head if I'm wrong, but we STILL have a light-blue Jay. Ugh. I didn't even notice the color change until recently and its still annoying me.

So, can someone post the actual pictures in thread? That way I can udate the first post with everything.

Also, it looks like I can really have an Adventure with Snake Cultist bad-guys. Hurrah!

Sure, I used prnt sc to get higher quality ones than Brickshelf (I used .bmp too, so there's no gigantic quality variance). I'll need a moment or two, my internet is laggy but I'll upload them to Majhost. There are some... "issues" with them, namely a big grey line down the side. It's distracting, but not detracting. Some of them I had to clip a bit, too, I realized too late a better way to do things and couldn't be bothered to go back :P

EDIT: nah, taking far too long for a single image. Sorry.

I feel abit overwhelmed and confused by lots of new faces whose origins we can't determine. We know there are jungle people (likely) but the others also look like updated versions of Dareth some amateurs who also just learned elemental powers, which can also cater to that saying. Just wait and see what's their specific roles in the next season of cartoon story. But if they're really fillers, I'd be abit dissapointed with still no Misako and Julien so far.

As for Skylar, the interesting part is that this name appears in several fanons and feels like TLC do want to make some fan service (though on the other hand, the plot writers don't use more Japanese-like names for the main characters for unknown reason). I'm not really a fan of fanons, so I hope TLC can make her/his backstory interesting enough in order to differentiate from those fanon girls.

And a female ninja? It seems many people's prayers have finally been answered!

Though being on of the FOLs who hold that wish, I think the main reason is that LEGO has already done enough jobs with the previous male ninjas and they don't really need another heroic guy to seize their spotlights like what Lloyd did at first. So a girl might cater to their need of a new ninja. Edited by Dorayaki

As somebody who hasn't cared for most of the Ninjago sets (or even minifigs) in the past, nor has followed the story, I've got to say these sets are really appealing to me anyway. The new Ninja outfits are very detailed and look better to me than some of the previous designs (besides the Final Battle robe-like outfits, which were great). But the real stars are the 'cultists.' They look so deliciously evil, and their prints look well suited to a wide variety of nefarious purposes. The snake hats are pretty cool too.

Besides the minifigures here, the builds like the Temple look like full-fledged buildings, which is quite nice to see in the NInjago line at a size and price range smaller than the largest one. The design of that temple looks so good. Even the Dojo Showdown set has more of a full-looking build than past dojos and training sets. I might have to pick a few of these up not just for the minifigures, but even for the build designs.

Here are pics of a few (from Brickset):

As of now they do not have pics of the Jungle Traps, the Jungle Raider, or Dojo Showdown.

But those pics were there in the video. That Boulder Blaster looks awesomely deadly. I'd like to see what pushes the missile ends when the barrel is rotated. It's like the new multi-stud shooters but on a larger scale! This is the most interested I've been by the first pictures of a Ninjago wave.

Do you see the ball joint attached to the top of the "wheel" piece? That's what does it—when the missiles rotate past that piece the ends are pushed downward enough to launch. It's quite elegant, really. I haven't ever been as excited about one of Cole's vehicles as I am about this one—its design borders on Sky-Fi.

I never said they were good.

I hope that we get something similar to the anime Fairy Tail with these new characters. I'd love for this new Ninja team to be a group of anti-heroes that will join Wu's Ninja in the end. They will then continue as reoccurring characters.

Just wishful thinking though.

I don't know what you mean by "still," he's still the normal blue as usual.

I noticed that some of cultists' names are: Kapau, Slaven, Harley and somebody please tell the name of Anacondrai minifigure.

I'm surprised you even managed to decipher them! I spotted Kapau as well, but besides that, you have a very keen eye! We aren't certain about the Anacondrai's names though.

I'm really excited to see this story come to fruition. There's a lot of development coming, and I hope that we will have a full season of TV episodes to accompany this wave (unlike Rebooted).
