PenPlays Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Ah, sorry about that. I thought they were aired October 1! It will air in November. Leaked footage has been out for months, though. Quote
Cagast Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 (edited) Yep, I know, first video surfaced in June! EDIT: Somebody mentioned new episodes will come next month at teletoon, but are those new episodes from season 5 or 33 and 34 that aren't aired in US? Edited October 11, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Guys, this is for Set discussion, not Cartoon discussion. While it is fine to link the show with the toys in here, pure TV talk belongs in the dedicated thread in Culture and Multimedia. Thanks. Quote

EDIT: Somebody mentioned new episodes will come next month at teletoon, but are those new episodes from season 5 or 33 and 34 that aren't aired in US? They are episodes 33 and 34 as neither of them have aired on Teletoon or on Cartoon Network. Speaking of episode 34 and show-to-set similarities... We all now about what happens to a certain minifigure thanks to the images of the 2015 sets, but what I'm curious about is Pythor. You see... Pythor was shrunk down to the size of Falcon food in episode 34. Due to the 2015 sets showing a full sized Pythor, I wonder if he will be brought back to size, or if the white Pythor minifigure was some fan-service on Lego's part. Quote

Pythor probably knows how that pill that Borg made works, so he knows how to get back to normal size. Or those Anacondrai cultists use their powers to unshrink him. Whatever i doubt LEGO would make tv series with Pythor in micro size and still release him as a full sized minifigure. Quote

Has anyone noticed that the Ninja DB X seems to open up along the lines of the Ultra Agents Mission HQ (i.e. Sides open, top has a function)? I'm curious if it will have any hidden features. Quote

Is it just me, or does the DB X look really small? Certainly a lot smaller than the Ultra Agents HQ..... Really baffles me how they stuffed 700 pieces in there. Edited October 15, 2014 by LK901 Quote

Must be some crazy transforming feature, although why it isn't advertised on the box like the Chima Fire vs Ice sets' transforming features I do not know. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I think the DBX may be "deceptively large" and in hand bigger than it appears on the box. Having said that, you have a point there. It does look a tad small for a 700 piece set. The transforming features look to be some kind of "tower/look-out" type structure mounted on the roof of the vehicle and several panels on (I assume) both sides that fold out revealing the inside of the base. Also, there are 2 mini vehicles - the motorcycle and the flyer. So....lets say 25 pieces for the mini figs, 100 pieces for the 2 small vehicles, 50-75 pieces for the snake base structure leaves around 500 pieces or so for the DBX. I think size-wise it may be about as big as the Galaxy Squad Vermin Vaporizer (Green Squad Wave 1 Vehicle). Same kind of idea and that set was smaller (7-8 inches long) but very squat/dense. Quote

I follow your reasoning. Still, I wish we got a bigger Snake temple and a smaller mobile command/DB X whatever. But, kids prefer vehicles to buildings :( Quote

The Vermin Vaporizer was about the length of 1 1/2 of the DBXs windshields (it's the same windshield in the most recent UCS X-Wing and Benny's Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP, the latter of which I have sitting next to me). The DBX is more than twice the size of it's windshield (if the 2 windshields were set from non-hinge-end to non-hinge-end). Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 The prices for the 2015 ninjago sets in us dollars are: Jungle Trap: $8.99 Lava falls: $12.99 Anacondrai Crusher: $19.99 Electro Mech: $19.99 Jungle Raider: $19.99 Condrai Copter attack: $29.99 Dojo Showdown: $29.99 Boulder Blaster: $29.99 Titanium Dragon: $39.99 Enter the Serpent: $69.99 Ninja DB X: $79.99 Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Seems alittle much for some of the smaller sets. Like the DojoShowdown. Or lava falls or the jungle trap. Quote
Mandate Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 And yet we're still waiting for pics of the Electro Mech. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) Took another look at the Boulder Blaster set. It looks like the rear part of the vehicle can detach and become a small jet/flyer vehicle leaving the front part as some sort of ground vehicle or artillery unit. The overall vehicle doesn't quite look coherent to me and then I saw that it looks more like 2 individual vehicles combined into one. The front portion even looks to have wheels on it. I guess we will know for certain once we get pics of the back of the boxes and set descriptions from retailers. The splitting feature may also help explain why this 230ish piece set is priced at the $USD $29.99price point. Edited October 18, 2014 by TPLSTER21 Quote
Cagast Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 If that's true, it will be a good transformation function to get both flying and ground vehicle for Cole (he is the ninja of earth!). But where do you see those wheels? Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) @ Cagast: Looks like there is a round wheelish-looking piece at the bottom of the model near the lower fins. It looks too thick to be a gear, so I'm guessing it is a small wheel and that there is another one on the other side. I think it is more likely that if the model does have a split function that the front piece is an artillery unit. The lower fins become a brace/stand for the unit and the wheels used for positioning it as opposed to outright rolling it around. I could be wrong of course, but the model looks "weird" to be a single model. It reads to me as the combined form of 2 separate models. That and the rear part looks like something that is completely self-contained from the front of the model. Edited October 18, 2014 by TPLSTER21 Quote

Cagast Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I believe those gears are part of some function, not gears for driving. Hopefully it will be a function to split the two vehicles, but I doubt one of them will be for ground. If they made it, it would probably have larger wheels instead of simple gears. (Which doesn't mean that it can't be with that type of gears too). You can also see there is a part of function below the back wings. I have a feeling that they put a gear that can be pushed inside and pulled outside if your ground vehicle theory is correct. Whatever that is, gatling gun-spring loaded missiles machine gun looks like an awesome feature anyway so even if that is the only feature (but it's not), i won't be mad!! Quote
obsidianheart Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 There's a Handle/landing gear at the back, so I think he gears are for the firing mechanism somehow. Probably a knob on the other (non-pictured) side. Quote
Mandate Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 It doesn't split into two vehicles. That's a handle, around there will be a trigger and those gears will turn when the trigger is pressed. The gears will then turn the central turbine at the front of the machine firing the Star Wars blasters like a gatling gun. Quote
