obsidianheart Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Peter from the Friends set Olivia's House sports the hair in question. This is what I used to make my Jay. I don't have any of the Nindroid sets with him (actually, I only have 3 of those). Quote
Aanchir Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Peter from the Friends set Olivia's House sports the hair in question. I have always wondered why there was that discrepancy in Jay's hair between the show and the sets. It's not that big of a deal, but it is interesting. It's worth noting that in LEGO Battles Ninjago from 2011, Jay DID have orange hair. In fact, it practically looked Bright Orange rather than the Dark Orange it is in the sets. It's hardly the only discrepancy between characters' in-set and on-screen appearances. Kai has never had his facial scar in the TV show, nor has Nya in the show ever had her eye shadow (which finally disappeared in the sets this year, when her face was replaced with a more generic one). Also, in the TV episodes, Kruncha conspicuously lacks his monocle. Frankly, I like Dark Orange best as Jay's hair color. I feel like it makes the Ninja that much more diverse. But at this point they couldn't easily change his hair color in the TV show without confusing viewers. Quote
Cagast Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 At some points like in that elevator scene Jay's hair goes lighter and shows it Dark Orange like in the sets. People made Jay's hair orange before 2014 because at some points it can be dark orange, light brown or reddish brown. Quote
Mr Greeble Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 maybe there is a very dark shadow that looms over jay part of the time? Quote

Samed5 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Am I the only one who isn't completely convined that Skylar is female? Female minifigures are usually printed with curves, which I did not see in this picture. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I noticed this as well. I do hope it is a girl though. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I'm pretty sure Skylor is male. We'll see. Quote
Cagast Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 It is very clear that she has curves, you can see that on offical set pictures. Also she has female looking eyes on this picture. Quote

Colossus Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Any news on the Dareth polybag, such as release date or who's carrying it? I haven't seen anything since the pic was released. Quote
Samed5 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 (edited) I actually ordered my Dareth off of Ebay a few days ago. As far as I know, the polybag has not been released in the Unites States yet. Edited November 5, 2014 by Samed5 Quote
Mandate Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Dareth is a 2014 set, not a 2015 set. And some people have already gotten him, so I would assume it's out in some parts of the world. Quote
Cagast Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 This site also uploaded artwork pictures for the sets, and somehow everything looks much better...... Quote
Peasantseverywhere Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Ive just had an idea for what that set might be that is missing with the set numbers, i might be completely wrong but its just something i noticed, in all the sets you get a ninja with either the hair or the like thing over there head (whatever its called) and you get one version of that each for each ninja except Skylor , which makes me think that that set has an umasked version of him/her and Lego dont want to reveal who the character is yet. To be honest its just pure speculation but thats whats fun right ? Quote

PenPlays Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) AMERICA, PREPARE TO BE JELLY! *snip* Oh yes, that's right. Volume 2 The jelly is real... I have to wait for two more months, and the cover isn't even a quarter as cool! Dangnabbit! Edited November 6, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
Mandate Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Alright, I've just finished watching the whole thing through. There's a difference in animation and some other things, the Overlord's mech no longer bounces and there's a number of plot holes fixed up (not completely satisfied, there were most definitely better ways of fixing them). Sadly, this is the part that pertains to the "2015" topic: There is no teaser for the next season/sets in it. I know that one version LEGO uploaded had a voiceover in the credits of The Titanium Ninja, but I can't translate that. HOWEVER: There is one thing I will point out, and something that's troubled me since the shoddy Youtube versions came out. Skales, at the end of Episode 34, is using Slithraa/Skales's-original-form's model. It's a peculiar mistake to be made, especially given that this mistake has never been made with any of the major Serpentine characters. So, assuming this isn't some bizarre mistake (because it's a huge mistake to have made, seeing as its never happened with the main villains before) I would guess this means something's happening with the Serpentine. Cagast Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I noticed something. When I looked to the close up, bigger pictures of new sets I saw that Zane is not a robot. His skin is pure blue and he has no cybernetic parts on him. It looks like he is some sort of spirit, or what he became after what happened in episode 34, and he just has silver suit. So anyone who thinks that Zane is full robot now- it is actually opposite - he is 0% robot. Quote
Mandate Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Hardly. First of all, Zane has always been fully robotic (unless you really want to count Julien's little speech about "a part of him"). Secondly, technically coloration does not matter when it comes to robots. Zane could be pink with purple polka dots and it wouldn't really matter at all. Also, PIXAL has no visible "cybernetic" parts on her, only her circuit... tattoos (whatever those are meant to be). Traditionally Zane has never featured any visibly robotic components in the sets until the NinjaCopter, which is the only set to have featured him in such a way to date. Or in other words, don't get your hopes up on that theory. Zane is a... "Schrodinger's Powder Keg" in terms of usage in the plot, we haven't seen the full capacity of his nature and knowing LEGO they'll dump NINJAGO before we get even close to that kind of thing. Speaking of which, I actually really want them to do a "soft reboot" of NINJAGO soon. It's been enjoyable having the 6 (now 7) ninjas, 2 Sensei's and a Samurai, but I think NINJAGO's running out of steam for where they can turn to with the plot. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I think we'll see the soft reboot with the Movies in 2016 and 2018. I wouldn't be surprised if Ninjago ran just as long if not longer than Bionicle's first run. But i do agree, Ninjago in it's current state can only run for so long. I could however see a new set of ninja with one of the current ninja (if not all) ruturning to play a part in the series, either as parents of the new ninja or a sensei for them. I'd still like to see a series focused on Jay or Cole. So for the double post, but i was looking around on a German toy site (see below) and it seems we may not Ninjago sets until March, unless that's just in Germany. That's a ballsy move on Lego's part as far as Christmas sale for Ninjago 2015, but is also understandable to give move time for Ninjago: Rebooted sets....I find this very interesting... Mandate Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Considering it's now canonical that Wrong Place, Wrong Time insanely messed up the original plot-line, they could easily change a whole bunch of things. But anyway, I really want to see a new ninja team soon. Costume changes are getting noticeably... weaker. What I mean is, while all of the Minifigures we've gotten over the years are very pretty there's been a noticeable decline. I really want to see something like the DX suits again, they were easily my favorites. Quote

Why i think that is because Zane is now some sort of spirit, in the digiverse. Nobody knows anything about his power source and history of it. It is possible that Zane was another being whole this time, only in robot's body. Because nobody knows where Dr.Julien took his power source from and i am sure it is connected to 2015's plot. Quote
