Mandate Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Cagast, right-click, select "save image as" and then reupload it to Majhost, Flickr or another image hosting website. If it's small enough (lower than 100kb) you could even upload it here. Quote
PenPlays Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 For those of you who are curious. Scroll half-way down, after Santa's Little Helper from the Simpsons. Not very exciting, but still cool. "Both parts" may be connected and we don't have a good angle... just saying. Quote
Cagast Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 The purple snake skin piece gets attached on it. THAT is the second part. Quote
PenPlays Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 The purple snake skin piece gets attached on it. THAT is the second part. I more or less said that, since the way you phrased it earlier sounded like the helmet (without the purple tendrils) was two pieces in it of itself. Two pieces not including the purple tendril. It was confusing was all. Now I'm really curious as to what material the tendril is made out of, and what other uses would it have... Quote
obsidianheart Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 It's probably over-molded. Like, that piece is part 1 of a 2 step process, and they won't be capable of separating once it's done. Like that new Ultra Agents helmet. Quote
Mandate Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 (edited) Ha ha ha... I think I just figured out a major plot point for next year. Nya's favorite color was blue, which aided in her relationship with Jay. After every dispute between Jay and Cole over Nya this year, I realized something. We're getting a female orange ninja next year. Whose favorite color is orange? Cole's. Oh, and Nya chose Cole at the end of Episode 34. This would be a huge twist if Cole falls for Skylar, and it would be even bigger if the Perfect Match machine had been influenced by the Overlord This is a mostly unfounded theory, but I wouldn't put it past them to do something like this. LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I was waiting for someone to point this out. Also there's the robot in The Ninja DB X or whatever it's called which is also blue and black. I thought it looked like a Joel 2.0 Quote

Yes, I realized that before. It will most likely happen. By the way, Nya didn't say: "I choose Cole" or something similar. She just huged him. Quote

In which Jay responded with a frown, and some form of sadness or regret. It was the point and mood they were attempting to establish. It's pretty easy to infer. By the way, how do we know that Cole's favorite color is orange? I never recall any media mentioning it. Never mind. I found it. Lego.com description. What a blatant yet genius plot device. This is going to be fun. I just hope that there isn't a "comedic" love triangle that includes Joel. Edited November 17, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
Mandate Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 If it includes Jole, it'll be a love... pentagon? Nya, Jay, Cole, Jole, Skylar. And of course, Jole's heart will be broken and he'll run around screaming "DELETE! DELETE!" Quote

LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 "Joel" is the name of a robot introduced in Codename: Arcturis. He worked at a movie theatre, and when Nya was asked who she picked after The Triangle Date, she choose the robot an named him Joel...a compound of Jay and Cole. Quote
Agent Fusion Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 OK, I am yet to watch that episode. Quote
Cagast Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I think it's spelled "Jole" (J for Jay and -ole for Cole) and it sounds same as "Joel". Quote
Mandate Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 No, that got me too Cagast. It actually is "Joel" (according to subtitles, anyway). Well, really it's Robo-Usher 3000. Joel might be making an appearance next year in the Ninja HQ set, but personally I think it's too tall to be him. Could have been rebuilt though... *COUGH* Quote
Cagast Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) Could have been rebuilt... Let's compare these two robots then: They both look similar. Body is almost same (Joel's is wider), arms are almost same. They both have golden eyes, and this blue piece on his body could present the buttons that Joel has. Only think that makes them different and hard to believe they are the same robot are the legs. It makes this right robot look very tall. But, could have been rebuilt... Mandate Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) And NINJAGO news: The LEGO Movie and NINJAGO movie share the same universe (RIP NINJAGO movie) Edited November 19, 2014 by JayWalker Quote
PenPlays Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 And NINJAGO news: The LEGO Movie and NINJAGO movie share the same universe (RIP NINJAGO movie) I listened to the interview where that came from, and it's just too early to know. The answer given did not directly confirm it, and the way it was worded sounded like it may have just been an accident. It... wasn't denied much either, and there are signs pointing toward it too... But seriously, if this movie is going to be separate from the TV show (or if this reboots the TV show, not in the "Rebooted" way (oh please no!)) done as an indirect sequel to the Lego Movie, I'm not going to be satisfied. I'll see it and most likely love it, but I will not be satisfied. If this is entirely the truth, I will be disappointed. I'd wait another year of production for this movie if that means that this... mistake... would be corrected. So much lost hope! Quote

I haven't listened to the interview yet, so I only know this from BZPower's news line. I'm not going to flame the movie if it is INDEED part of the TLM world. But there is no chance whatsoever that the TV universe and the TLM universe are one and the same. It's impossible. Two entirely different artstyles, animation styles, plots and relevancy. Dimension-hopping is a no to me as well. A straight up reboot? This isn't Transformers. If the Legoland mini-movie is anything like this, I'm going to lose any and all faith in future LEGO movies. If this is true, to be blunt it feels like LEGO is trying to wipe anything and everything they can against the backside of TLM's success. What a load of bad news in one day. First my cat survives death (that's the good news), but has just been loaded with a week's worth of anesthetics. Then I find out the NINJAGO movie might be doomed from the start, I get a bunch of crappy stuff in CS:GO despite working incredibly hard to get it, and then finally my cat runs off. In the middle of a massive thunderstorm. Loaded with anesthetics. Before one of my final exams. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Guys, media discussion is in the Culture and Multimedia forum. It is okay when it links directly to a set (such as something taken from the series) but shipping wars and love polygons are not 2015 set rumours! (I mean really! I never expected to find shipping discussion on a LEGO forum that isn't about posting and release dates!) Thanks for the co-operation. Quote
Lyichir Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I don't see why everyone is upset about the fact that the Ninjago movie will be in the Lego Movie universe? I personally couldn't be more thrilled. I don't think that news necessarily suggests that the movie won't depict "canon" events from the existing storyline. The minifigures, after all, represent the characters, and the story has always been made for the purpose of role play. It's not inconceivable that the ninja of The Lego Movie have fought the same enemies and learned the same lessons that they have in the show. And even if they haven't (and the Ninjago movie does not fit neatly into the chronology of the series), I'm fairly sure we can expect the ninjas' depictions to be true to the characters we know and love, considering the writers of the show are still involved with the movie. Quote
Mandate Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Not everyone shares your opinion, Lyichir. If you're an "overall" fan of LEGO (like all the Chir brothers/father), there is no problem. The problem is, is that it's essentially saying "We're making a NINJAGO movie!" when you're really making The LEGO Movie 1.5 Part 1. Part 2 being the Batman movie. I hesitate to call anything like this a "betrayal", but this really hits home for me. I will still watch the movie, but it's just lost any and all real appeal for me. It's not that it won't depict canon events, or that it will stray from the characters. It's that it strays from NINJAGO itself, that's why people don't like it. It's just The LEGO Movie with a different name and setting now. Possibly minus the "setting" bit. Anyway, PeppermintM is right, we should move this to the Culture forum. Quote
