Cagast Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) Ninjago? Because of the ninja hood. I can imagine him in the movie. God I love Taobao! Also this minifigure is female, look at her eyes. Edited November 23, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Often times the Minifigures in these "previews" are just thrown together. "She" is also wearing a Jedi torso. And while this mold may retain some elements of the NINJAGO "half gi" I really doubt it has anything to do with NINJAGO. It also would have nothing to do with the movie, far too early for any part like that to come up. Quote
Cagast Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) It's probably a CMF Series 13 Samurai. What made me think it was Ninjago is the front part, the part around mouth is same as Cole's black bandana. Edited November 23, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Meiko Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I think I found an existing part in a new color (part 61409 in LBG). Can anyone confirm my suspicions? Definitely looks to be light bluish grey, or possibly silver. Quote
Thelegomaster Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) If that is for ninjago, it could be for Lord Garmadon. If it hasn't been posted, here is the synposis: Ninjago sees ninjas, samurais, and senseis fight side-by-side against dragons, armies of snake men, and Lord Garmadon, an evil warlord banished to an underworld who now seeks to return to power. There has been discussion on this already. It's pretty unanimously agreed that it's a place holder. Besides, who would want a repeat of the Serpentine, since doing them once is enough (Anacondrai are a different story, as they weren't exactly story important in 2012). Quote
Mandate Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 It's far too early for sets/molds to be even prototyped yet. Alright, maybe they have done some prototypes, but nothing that wouldn't be super secret. The NINJAGO movie is an entire year and a half away, and the Commentary on TLM itself more or less indicated that the movies are designed first, the sets second. I've reconsidered my earlier opinion, and this piece probably will show up in a NINJAGO set. It does fit with the NINJAGO style, with the lower gi. If you spray paint it brown you can get Master Chief's hood out of it too Quote
Cagast Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Now I see that "her" torso is actually Star Wars torso. The main thing is the black piece (helmet/hood) on minifigure's head. I think it's Ninjago. It is probably Cole's new hood for summer wave. Also see that japanese letter on the top, similar to japanese letters on ninja mask that we will get in 2015 winter wave. Now I am almost sure it's Ninjago. Quote
Mandate Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 (edited) No. That's... just paint. I think. It's also nothing like Cole's symbol. Here you can clearly see Cole's symbol. The set version is identical. The idea that this is Cole's hood... eh, I'm not going to talk about it. It's a possibility, but it feels more villain-esque to me than anything else. I could easily be wrong, however. edit: Sorry, picture's tiny now. Well, you can at least make out what it looks like. Edited November 24, 2014 by JayWalker Quote
Cagast Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 But it's a prototype. Somebody probably painted it but later there will be one normal symbol. It does look villain-esque though. Quote
Mandate Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 It's a splotch of paint. I think you might be reading too far into it. Quote
Mr Greeble Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 (edited) :wub_drool: wantwantwant!!!! This hood is amazing! Pretty sure this is for ninjago, and It'll probably for a villain. My theory? Look at how the bottom of it is teared a bit, the ninjas would never let their costumes rip! Also, it looks like something someone in the jungle might wear... (Just saw that Taobao is selling the hood! Are they even reliable?) Edited November 26, 2014 by Mr Greeble Quote

Cagast Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Series 13 offical pictures are revealed, and there isn't this hood included. So now it's almost sure this is Ninjago. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Now we know for sure that black ninja mask is for a ninjago minifigure. It has to be in a summer 2015 ninjago set. Quote

So you mean that it for sure isn't a minifigure from the mysterious "spooky theme," a Star Wars 7 minifig, or a new character yet to be revealed in Nickelodeon's TMNT? I wouldn't go so far to say that this is for certain a Ninjago 2015 mask. I wouldn't mind it being one, but I wouldn't go as far to say that if is for certain at this point. Only a couple months until Toy Fair everyone!! THEN we will know for sure. Edited November 27, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote

I highly doubt it will be in star wars 7 and tmnt is a good choice for seeing that. But I'm sure it will be in ninjago. Quote

But I'm sure it will be in ninjago. Keep in mind that if the Scooby Doo theme is based on the new show, it may have a new character that will feature this new mask. Regarding Star Wars, there are so many diverse characters in that world. That mask may be a character in the VII or maybe even Rebels. Again, I'd love it if the Ninja had new, tattered outfits. Quote
Mandate Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 NINJAGO 2015 teaser has been uploaded (the cruddy kind) Makes me wonder about what kind of sets we're getting in wave two. That Samurai... chrome version would be nice. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 http://brickset.com/parts/6032022 I believe the torso the new new hood is on is this pirate body, but it appears they are using a color filter to achieve the mono color effect of the pic Quote
Mr Greeble Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 we've said before that they just throw together random parts for those pics. Quote
Cagast Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) Wow...this is gonna be so interesting. Pirate ship? Look at the beginning? Is it sensei Wu? He looks like a villain. Also look what I've found in video's comments: The uploader says: "When the Golden Master was destroyed, the golden elemental power was spread throughout all of Ninjago. Ordinary people began to possess elemental powers and soon the ninja find out their not the only ones with elemental powers. The ninja pursue a quest to find these people and convince them to join them and become ninjas. Some joined and some refused. The rest of the story will be told on January 18th 2015:)" Edited November 27, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 All of those minifigs aren't even placeholders. They are thrown together at random on the spot. We had the same thing happen last year. Quote
Master_Data Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) The guy who uploaded that video said that we would not be getting a white-robed Zane this year and that we would only be getting his Titanium version. If this is even true... Edited November 27, 2014 by Master_Data Quote
Cagast Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) You reminded me to put my message into spoilers too. And he also said these possessed people are called "Stone Cultists". Really? Stone Pythor? What's up with Anacondrai tombs and skulls that the cultists wear? Everything he says sounds legit except this. And the whole jungle cultists feel has no presence in this episode trailer. But that's probably only because it's beginning. Edited November 27, 2014 by Cagast Quote
