Cagast Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Now when we know almost everybody's names, Slaven is Sleven, although that youtube user who claims that LEGO e-mailed him says it's Slaven. I think he is not legitimate source. Although I would like Overlord's golden power spread over Ninjago, I don't think we will see that in plot and actual episodes. Sets like Jungle Trap and Lava Falls are tournament duel sets. Description of 70752 is "Match Kai against Krait in a Tournament of Elements duel with the LEGO NINJAGO Jungle Trap with trap step and double Jade Blade." So there we go, these sets are based on the Tournament of Elements. According to tv episodes' descriptions, Chen is ruler of the tournament, and Anacondrai cultists are possibly slaves who are forced to fight (Sleven-(play on slave)). I think this is possible plot. But we can also see big vehicles and actual Anacondrai and different ninja zukin suits, which means more actual battles. Quote

PenPlays Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) And now we have a Lloyd DX! http://m.target.com/...et/-/A-16602309 (sorry for double post) That is extremely interesting! I wonder if these will be hidden somewhere in stores. I'd love to pick those up. Strange that they don't show all four sides of the box. Apparently there's 30 pieces, meaning that Lloyd...er... DX and Fire Lavertus aren't the only two there. What's interesting is that both of them have unique printing. Not to mention that they used the Earth Dragon motif for Lloyd... a motif that matches the Golden Dragon identically! Lavertus' scarf is also a nice touch! EDIT: All items have free shipping, and that mini-figure pack, although $15, can be added to the cart, no problem. Edited November 30, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote

Mandate Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Drat, can't find it on the Australia website. eBay it is, then. It's an interesting enough concept, having Lloyd DX. Quote
coolcab1 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I wonder if DX Lloyd has any story relevance? Quote
Meiko Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) I wonder if DX Lloyd has any story relevance? Probably not... He never would have needed a DX suit because by the time he had a dragon, he already had the ZX suit. Edited November 30, 2014 by Meiko Quote
Cagast Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 And he doesn't get his dragon this year. I guess they are trying to remake original ninja variations for Lloyd which he never had, but then he still missess his Kendo suit and classic one from 2011. Quote
Aanchir Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Well, I was just editing my spreadsheet of Ninjago minifigures and have a few observations: With the addition of Lloyd DX, the 2014 minifigure count now comes to 20 unique minifigures! That's as many as Ninjago had in its first year! Pretty impressive! The 2015 minifigure count is at 26. That's more than any single half-year wave of Ninjago has ever had! The year as a whole might still wind up with fewer minifigures than 2012, which had 35 minifigures total, but even in 2012 there were just around 19 minifigures in the first half of the year and 16 in the second half of the year. Certainly there have never been more than 20 new Ninjago minifigures released in a single month of sets! I'm not sure what minifigures we might still reasonably suspect in summer 2015 (often that kind of thing can be hard to predict this far in advance). But one definite possibility is Skylor in a tournament costume. Having looked at the names of the new characters, the two new Anacondrai (Kapau'rai and Chop'rai) are almost certainly transformed versions of two of the cultists (Kapau and Chope). I wonder whether we might see true Anacondrai versions of any of the other six (Eyezor, Clouse, Zugu, Chen, Krait, and Sleven)? I also watched the two latest episodes of the TV series with my younger brother. Wow... even having had some parts of them spoiled, it was an emotional roller coaster! The music definitely helped the episode resonate with me on a profound level. I can't wait to see what the 2015 story might have to offer! Quote
coolcab1 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) I personally am interested in Skylor and the annacondrai cultist. C'mon 2015 get here already. (also if the episodes get leaked online am I able to post them here?) EDIT: Do you think the Titanium Dragon is the Falcon that go upgraded? Edited November 30, 2014 by coolcab1 Quote

EDIT: Do you think the Titanium Dragon is the Falcon that go upgraded? 1.Episode 35 is coming out in Asia, december 20th, so except some leaked footage! 2.What?! That would be insane if Zane makes a huge dragon out of a bird. It's not the same thing. Edited November 30, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Despite getting insane amounts of minifigures this year, I'd also like to point out this year has still been one of the lower years for new (NINJAGO-"exclusive/unlikely-to-be-seen-in-another-theme")parts, at around 7 new pieces. And in true NINJAGO fashion, almost all of them go to the villains. That's only one more than the 2013 sets, and two more than Rebooted got. Edited December 1, 2014 by JayWalker Quote
Colossus Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Man, seeing the Lloyd DX version has me nostalgic for all my old dragon sets, which have since been dismantled. I guess I found my Christmas project: rebuild dragons Quote
Mandate Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Can I point out, before we dismiss the notion of a dragon for Lloyd, that the other minifigure in the Target collection was Lavertus with a scarf, which actually had some relevance to Chima's plot? Quote
PenPlays Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Can I point out, before we dismiss the notion of a dragon for Lloyd, that the other minifigure in the Target collection was Lavertus with a scarf, which actually had some relevance to Chima's plot? It's sorta relevant, I suppose, but that's for a different thread. I'd also like to point out again, that the Earth Dragon motif on Lloyd works, due to the fact that the Golden Dragon had the same head mold. It's a nice touch. I'm just stoked that these minifigures are real! I checked one of my local Targets today. Apparently due to them being on sale without having to buy another set, they sold out rapidly. DC comic fans are going to be buying the heck out of these seeing as Super Boy is one of the figures. Quote
phanstasm Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Dareth polybag is now available in the US!! I was able to pick one up Sunday evening at a US Toys R Us store. How to Buy At my local TRU you have two options. First, as shown in the US Toys R Us weekly ad, you can spend $30 and get a Dareth poly for free. Or, as with Rockett, you can buy the Dareth poly for $4.99. For More Info: You can see the promotion by visiting page 13 of the weekly US ad. Or you can see the page as an image here: http://akimages.shop...0_013_qz470.jpg Note: The promotion is calling the Dareth poly a "Ninjago Battle Pack." So, if you call the store ask about the "free Ninjago Battle Pack with $30 purchase." Most employees won't know what you mean if you ask for a "Dareth polybag." :) Edited December 1, 2014 by phanstasm Quote
coolcab1 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I saw a shelf of those last week got 1 and dareth is pretty cool. Quote

Pulp Detective Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Might as well buy the character pack online instead... I agree,it doesn't worth it.You can easily buy a small set with those kind of money. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 The 4 pack comes together for $15, but selling each for 15, all of which are exclusive (except maybe the swamp officer)...is a great idea, a 400% return! Quote
Cagast Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Finally there is a book cover for Chronicles of Ninjago, which includes a sneak peek for season 5. This cover shows their masks and symbols. The symbols are same as always so there isn't anything special about them. It only doesn't show Skylor so I think she won't be very importrant character next year... Quote
Mandate Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Look at that, Zane still has his robotic eye, which is starting to confirm a suspicion of mine. Also, if Skylor is a character that warranted a ninja suit rather than a tournament outfit, she's probably going to be around the same level of the ninja. Quote
