BrickBuilder3213 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 That's annoying. Why are 2014's sets so dear, but 2015's sets are so cheap? ;o; Quote
PenPlays Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) That's annoying. Why are 2014's sets so dear, but 2015's sets are so cheap? ;o; Probably because they are literally smaller in size. Let's keep in mind that the Ninja DB X is going to be just about as long as the Ultra Sonic Raider is wide (without wings unfolded). Despite how spectacular it looks, it isn't that impressive in size. Edited December 18, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
PenPlays Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) Sorry for the double post, but: I asked a Lego Store employee today if they were going to get Ninjago and Ultra Agents this January. The answer is no. (This is in the US, by the way). If it at all validates it, the employee appeared to be consulting a list before they gave me an answer. The wait for the new TV series just got a lot harder... March 2015, here we come! Edited December 20, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
Mandate Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Darn, hope that doesn't apply over here. It *would* allow me to get some UA sets, though... Quote
DarthLeapyous Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 The first episode "The Invitation" is on Youtube! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UynK-X6W6dI The uploader recorded on a phone but it still is alright quality. The metal guy isn't called Hanlan, he is called Carloff (or Karloff). Also, it seems there WILL be a romantic relationship between Kai and Skylor. It is interesting that there are many different elements in it - Griffin Turner has the power of speed. It is unknown what power Skylor has, but when she touches Kai it appears she absorbed some power. Maybe "power absorption" is her power? The "cultists" seem to be thugs/henchman and Clouse sounds a bit like Squidward. Quote
Cagast Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I already linked to that in Culture and Multimedia thread. Cartoon plot discussion goes there. Anyway, the episode is amazing. I wonder where PIXAL is? Quote
DarthLeapyous Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I wonder when the Anacondrai are going to make an appearance? Quote
Cagast Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Anacondrai that we see in the sets are proven to be snake forms of the cultists, probably when Pythor comes in and finds the way to transform them. Quote

"Karlof" or "Karlaf" looks a lot more like what we saw on that one box pic than "Hanlan". I'm not going to watch that video, though, because I'd rather avoid full-episode spoilers before the episodes air in the United States. Quote
Cagast Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) You can watch, it's in English. There are also HD videos. https://www.youtube....h?v=7HTZQ6sm7jw https://www.youtube....h?v=2q8g2jDVpL4 In the ending credits it's Karloff with two f. Edited December 20, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mr Greeble Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Invizible is an ancestor of the masters?!?!?!? Quote
Aanchir Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 You can watch, it's in English. There are also HD videos. Yes, I know, but I just like to wait for the American television broadcasts. That way I can play my part in boosting the show's viewership ratings to ensure Cartoon Network continues to give it the respect it deserves. Unless I forget to watch them then and have to watch a recording, of course. It's probably a silly policy of mine, but it's one that I've done a good job sticking to so far. Good to hear that there ARE good-quality recordings online, though. Quote
Meiko Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Someone should save those videos using one of the many YouTube downloading tools out there in case the videos get taken down per copyright policy. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Ahem: Cartoon discussion goes in Culture and Multimedia. Set discussion goes in here! Quote
Cagast Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 That's what happens when somebody links to the new episode. Quote
obsidianheart Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I zoned out: Did we ever figure out what the missing Set Number went to? Quote
Mandate Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) Short answer: Nope. Long(er) Answer: We're probably never going to hear of it again unless it's a D2C. Edited December 21, 2014 by JayWalker Quote
legofanatic12 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Is Griffin Turner and Hanlan are still villains? Quote
Aanchir Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Is Griffin Turner and Hanlan are still villains? His name is actually Karlof, not Hanlan. He's definitely an antagonist, but maybe not a villain. As far as I can tell, he and Griffin Turner are just some of the Ninja's opponents in the tournament, and judging from some of the book synopses we've seen, they might end up joining the Ninja at some point. legofanatic12 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 There's some unknown Elemental Masters that I saw in the show such as a white-spiky haired guy, a guy with a red turban, and a brown bearded guy. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 the spiky white haired guys has the same symbol on his belt the Overlord has on his chest piece... Quote
Mandate Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 No, they're highly similar down to the basic shape, but they're both different. "Smoker" (as I'm going to call that guy, seeing as we know his element) is hopefully going to appear in Wave 2. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I'm pretty sure they're the same... http://thegreenninja.tumblr.com/post/105838070357/im-just-gonna-leave-this-here I would love to see Smoker...(I personally like Ash), but If Ninjago Wave 2 goes to Ronin, I don't think we'll see him. Polybag perhaps? He's just overall a great looking fig. Quote
obsidianheart Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Man, I just hope they make that figure so I can get my hands on multiples of his hairpiece. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Same! That grey hair piece is awesome! Quote
