I dunno, a scarless Kai would be kind of weird. On the one hand, he's never had the scar in the show, but on the other hand, he's ALWAYS had it in the sets. And a scar isn't the kind of thing that just goes away. If it were a matter of his hair color being different or something like that that could be easily reconciled without completely breaking from continuity with past releases. A scar, not so much.

Anyway, I kind of wish that magazine came out in the US... if only for the posters!

Considering all of the advanced technology there still is in the plot (and the presence of concealer) it wouldn't be too difficult to make up an excuse for it.

Any chance we will get PIXAL or Cyrus Borg in the summer sets? I'd love to see another variant of PIXAL, maybe with a different hair-piece?

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone know if 70756 will be available on amazon, or if it really is a 'hard to find' set? Not sure if I should wait to buy it, or go ahead and get something else (aka boulder blaster  )

The Ninjago website has been updated! The US site (http://www.lego.com/en-us/ninjago) is a bit hard to get around. The GB site (http://www.lego.com/en-gb/ninjago) is much more navigable, with everything accessible from the top navigation bar. Neither currently has any 2015 product info... yet.

The new characters page (http://www.lego.com/en-gb/ninjago/characters) is fairly lackluster, using inconsistent and outdated character art and containing sparse information compared to last year's character page. The videos page is also very disorganized. But there are some great new features like a story resource with a recap of previous story chapters and more in-depth character info (http://www.lego.com/en-gb/ninjago/explore), and the return of downloadable wallpapers and posters (though the selection is currently a bit scarce).

I see it uses Adobe Muse (presumably, the Parallax scrolling and other aspects gives it away)...

Bios should have been kept the same, IMO.

I like the story info from previous years, it reminds me of the old Bionicle site....

This is the fifth year of Ninjago and I'm wondering why the ninjas have no new expressions.

I imagine the main reasons are that A) the faces we've had up until now represent good "default" expressions for the characters, and B) the fact that until last year all ninja had a hood covering the whole head and no hair meant that double-sided heads were not a practical option, since the ninja would seem to have two faces if their hoods were removed.

Now that we've gotten hairpieces for all the ninja the latter issue isn't necessarily as problematic—but there are still sets where it could pose an issue, such as sets including more than one ninja (imagine younger kids having to remember which hair goes with which ninja when bare-headed, especially if they've had them wearing their hoods for a long time). So while alternate faces for the ninja would be nice, I can see why Lego would steer clear of that for now.

Samurai Nya, Lloyd, Garmadon and the Overlord would all like to have a word with you.

Anyway, new wesbite is kinda lame in comparison to the awesome design of last year's. The new ninja artwork is just trace artwork of the original 2011 posters. What a shame.

I was just on the new ninjago site and this ( http://imgur.com/Kp8Lgw1 ) looks like a new design for sensei wu's minifigure

It's an alternate white version of Wu's magic Kimono from 2011. That image has existed since... 2012? Can't remember, but it's been around for a long time. I don't think we'll see it in any sets, but I'll welcome it in open arms if we do.

Hey, just noticed that! You're right!

Here's some odd (and kinda dissapointing) news: Garmadon's 2015 minifgure features the "open" back (revealing the snake tatoo).

Now that really is disappointing. Such a shame! At least it looks okay from the front.

Really? I personally don't mind it, I think it's actually quite neat to have that.

Of course, for people who wanted a regular outfit for him, I can see why this is disappointing. I personally am happy to have that variant!

The new website is awesome, my only concern being that the parallax background images are upscaled on large screen resolutions. On 1920x1080 which is what I'm using, it's clear that the images are low quality pixelated JPEGs that have been upscaled from the 1128px native image size.

It's a nice touch about the series imo

Just see more pictures about the 70750, love the idea about the HQ. I change my opinion about this set.

I thought I'd write what I'd like to see from the summer wave sets.

  • 70730 Chain Cycle Ambush - I'm hoping for some sort of generic bad guy vehicle with a ninja with a jetpack or other small vehicle.
  • 70733 Blaster Bike - Something like the 2013 Chima summer eagle set which could transform into a flying thing, but with a huge technic shooter at the front and a cool transforming feature for the ninja, and a small bit of scenery for the bad guys
  • 70734 Master Wu Dragon - a white and gold dragon with silver accents. A bit like a massive version of the golden dragon. And, most important, a rice helmet for the dragon! :P
  • 70735 Ronin R.E.X - Don't even want to talk about this. Why sets on a video game?!?! But, anyway, hopefully some sort of mechanical mecha in form of T-rex for Ronin and a ninja vehicle of some sort.
  • 70736 Attack of the Morro Dragon - Now, this sounds good. It won't be a Ronin set, because Morro sounds like a villain and Ronin is the main villain for SoR. Hopefully somthing like the Overlord's dragon, but larger, and with more grey 'smokey' elements than purple. And, of course, and awesome villain
  • 70737 Titan Mech Battle - Don't really have much idea's for this. Two big mecha's fighting each other, maybe?
  • 70738 Final Flight of Destiny's Bounty - Yes! Another Destiny's Bounty! I missed out on the first, but I won't miss out on this one! I hope we will get a big ship, with detailed interior and technic shooter, plus all of the ninja team (Sensei too!), and the anaconda we see in episode 36.

And for the Airjitzu sets, hoepfully just some more spinners!(mostly because I preditcted that spinners would return)

Has there been any official word on when these sets will be released in the US? They're obviously gearing up for it since they're updating the site, but they took a step backwards when they took the new products down around a day after they put them up.

Judging by the confirmed date for Speed Champions and Elves, Ninjago should be coming in March here in the US.

Why, when I think about Airjitzu, do I picture a ninja attached to a Rhotuka spinner? Anyone else feel this?

Because that's probably exactly what it's going to be. And should this be true, it's going to be an utter failure like the Speedorz to create a card/battle game.

Actually, although I was not really impressed by Spinners, and even less by the Speedorz, if they do end up working like Rhotuka spinners, that could make for a very enjoyable game - provided the spinner can maintain at least three to four seconds of air travel and can be moderately aimed.
