Master_Data Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I think that it is interesting that Brick Fanatics claims that Ghosts are the new villains for Ninjago, yet Brickset says that there were no minifigures on display for any of the themes. ...or am I missing something? They said that there were cards with sketches of the figures on display. They could have gotten this information from those. Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) I think that it is interesting that Brick Fanatics claims that Ghosts are the new villains for Ninjago, yet Brickset says that there were no minifigures on display for any of the themes. Huh, don't think of that. Perhaps they could assume by the sets themselves; there may have been obvious ghost motifs Or, Brickiest could have generalized all figures into prototype figs even if there were one or two on display to prevent comment spam asking about the figures... Nuremburg is notorious for giving us video coverage You got that right I prefer pics, but I guess video is better than nothing. EDIT: They said that there were cards with sketches of the figures on display. They could have gotten this information from those. Oh, I see Edited January 21, 2015 by legozebra Quote
-Zond- Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Master Wu Dragon (70734) So, have we got Wu(why mster?!) Dragon, or we haven't? http://www.thebrickfan.com/london-toy-fair-2015-lego-set-report/ Quote
Mandate Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) Found a background image on the UK version of the NINJAGO website that would make a lovely wallpaper: Here Note the giant snake is even bigger in this version. I've got some ideas now on how some of the more major unexplained plot points tie into the new season, but that's for another thread Edited January 21, 2015 by JayWalker Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Anyone know the code? Huh, wonder what that's for... Quote
BringHimSoup Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 "Competition" Maybe to tie in with the new sets? Probably some sort of online competition with other people for points. Quote
badbob001 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I wonder if any of the 'mechs' in the new sets is an updated version of Nya's Samurai X Mech. Or will she never be in the spotlight again since the identity/gender of Samurai X was revealed? Quote

Another thing that was mentioned about the new Destiny's Bounty is that it has a fully furnished cabin in the back! I'm so stoked for pictures! Fun tidbit for those of you that are new to the Toy Fair excitement. London Toy Fair is typically littered with preliminary molds. Nurenburg is notorious for giving us video coverage as well as several finalized designs. New York typically will show off the final, if not close, designs of sets. NYTF also gets the most coverage, so expect pictures galore!! Brickset also said that there were cards on display with pictures of the final minifig designs. I think the use of generic figs in the set's themselves was mostly to deter theft. Quote
Starrocks923 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Anyone know the code? Unless I'm mistaken, that's for the premiere of the new Season...I think. Quote

LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I may also be Lego club, just looking at the componmets of the page. Lego Club was listed, but I can't find a code or source page to where this thing is headed.... Quote
Mandate Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Huh, wonder what that's for... I tried punching in a few set numbers and five letter words such as "ninja," "robot," and "snake," but nothing worked. I wonder if any of the 'mechs' in the new sets is an updated version of Nya's Samurai X Mech. Or will she never be in the spotlight again since the identity/gender of Samurai X was revealed? Nya also got a new minifigure last year, and the most expensive set of wave 1 2015. The DB X is considered as "her" vehicle... Even though Dareth, Clouse and Chen spent more time in it than she did Quote
GoldenChi Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 The combination of hand-held launcher and flying capabilities, the new airjitzu game sounds like a combination between Beyblades and Flutterby Fairy Quote

badbob001 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) The DB X is considered as "her" vehicle... I guess I'll find out more when the new season starts in the U.S., but it looks like a 'HQ' set, like the 'Battle for Ninjago City' set, so it doesn't feel like the focus is on her. It's common for support characters to be only available in the HQ sets. Like Velma being only available in the largest Scooby-doo 'HQ' set. ...But it does look like there is a new Ninja that shares some common traits with Nya... Edited January 22, 2015 by badbob001 Quote

The DB-X has her logo plastered all over it, including a massive one on the back. The idea of it being her vehicle doesn't seem at all subtle in the set itself. Can't comment on the TV episodes because I haven't seen any of the new ones yet. Quote

Yeah, I think its really meant to be hers, but she spends so little screen time in it. Instead, other characters use it way more often. Quote

It was designed by her, built by her, driven by her and used by her up until (warning: minor spoiler, look away now) Dareth has a dance party in it. Anyway, does anyone else remember the raggedy hood piece we saw earlier this year? Makes me wonder if the version of the Destiny's Bounty (seeing as it has "torn" sails) we're going to get is controlled by the ninja or by the ghosts. A flying Japanese ghost ship would be awesome. Completely forgot about that! Could it be possible that we are getting a ghost ninja army/ ghost ninja and samurai army? At this point, I'd take almost anything over an army of Slimers! Quote

I had the same theory a few posts back. That would be great! The DB crashed on the Dark Island, so that would be the perfect place for ghosts to take over... Quote
Vector Prime Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Character page on LEGO.com has been updated, though there are still plenty missing like Chen, Skylor, Clouse, (and Nya has now vanished from the page). None of the bios are really that insightful as they are either repeats of last year, or give no information other than confirmation that Chen wants to turn the cultists into Anacondrai-Human hybrids. Chope and Kapau actually share the same bio. Karlof is the only one that's actually interesting. (The reason he talks in third person is that he's from the distant land of Metalonia and doesn't know the regular language that well.) Edited January 23, 2015 by Vector Prime Quote
