obsidianheart Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Can't give you a photo, Majhost is down, and the MOC's picture is too big for me to upload it directly to EB. The piece that can be used to recreate the sword can be found here. Indeed you can create your own airjitzu sword : Thanks! I momentarily forgot that Travis Bricks existed, I think. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Check out this cover picture for the Shadow of Ronin video game. The ninjas have their zukin outfits with their old weapons, but the weapons have black printing on them. I remmber someone mentioning that cole in the preliminary pictures had his scythe of quakes. I hope we see their old weapons with black on it. Maybe summer sets... Quote
obsidianheart Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 So, Zane's just gonna be blue/silver all the time now? I guess that makes sense. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 It kind of makes sense that they'd have to recover their memories of how they got the elemental weapons if they wanted to remember how to do Spinjitzu. I'm guessing that the weapons are either from some sort of "sent inside their own minds" plot or their copies made by the others in the team to help them. Also, this is the first appearance of the Ultra Dragon in a long, long time. I wonder what happened to it in the meantime? BTW, this belongs in the Culture and Multimedia topic about the video game. True, but I was saying that we could see their old weapons in the summer sets with black printing. Quote
CET23 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 They took down the clearer prelims that were on the wiki. Did anyone back them up? Quote
ReZourceman Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 D'oh, I missed the clearer prelim pics. But I see the old ones....and oh my god....they look incredible. My favourite colour is green so chuffed to see so much of that. Look amazing. Super excited. Quote

Mandate Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) The original Destiny's Bounty looked very sleek in shape and with its iconic sails. I was hoping DB 2.0 would be similar but in larger scale but the prelim looks all wrong. The rear cabin's scale is so much larger than the rest of the ship, so it ends up looking like a shoe. And the boom sticking out from the dragon's mouth is out of place and looks like a cheap attempt to balance out the front scale of the ship. And gone are the beautiful sails, replaced with helicopter-ish things. They could at least made something shaped like the old sails that transformed to the spinning thing. Isn't the ninjago line stable enough now to have a higher parts budget? Some design choices for ninjago sets reminds me of some 80s-era GIJoe sets, with their under-scale vehicles and fold-out hollow bases. Yeah, you've summed up most of the problems I have with the set. Fortunately, it looks like the sails can fold in and out (and then fold downwards, like in the original) which is the last bit of hope I have for it. I remmber someone mentioning that cole in the preliminary pictures had his scythe of quakes. I hope we see their old weapons with black on it. Maybe summer sets... Ish beautiful. But if these really are the Golden Weapons, doesn't that mean this is a prequel then? edit: Most of those weapons use black in a specific way. Cole's weapon is black right up at the tip (but not on the staff), Jay's nunchucks are limited to black on the chain, and Zane's... sais (so much for Golden Weapons, guess this isn't a prequel, as if the suits didn't give it away) are both melded in a specific way, and Kai's sword is just melded at the tip. Lloyd is using his old suit (sigh). I want a close-up on that dragon, though. Edited January 25, 2015 by JayWalker Quote

I really hope that those sais and that version of the sword of fire get molded like that for the Summer Wave. Quote

So "airjitzu" is meant to be a substitute for spinjitzu, rather than a replacement. Makes sense. And it means I don't have to respect the Airjitzu spinners plot-wise or set-wise at all Quote
EdWebhead Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Looking at that cover...could the temple structure in the background be the D2C set we're expecting later this year? I thought it was the temple from Battle for Ninjago City at first, but it's definitely something else. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Don't know if we can expect this minifigure in the summer 2015 sets, but he looks really cool: Lar, master of water: http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/ninjago/images/c/c1/Mastaofwatar.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width/250?cb=20150125161226 Quote

Looking at that cover...could the temple structure in the background be the D2C set we're expecting later this year? I thought it was the temple from Battle for Ninjago City at first, but it's definitely something else. That's most likely Spinjago Village (again, from the Shadow of Ronin description). In the show, the villages seem to be located on high peaks (Jamonacai Village for example). However, that doesn't mean that the Temple isn't part of the village. I'd love it if the Temple was in that color, however, I have the feeling that it will be the same colors of the ghosts... Just a thought, really. All I want is a large temple sets with fantastic parts, and an unhealthy load of sweet looking minifigs! Quote
Master_Data Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Is that a new dragon pictured in the top right corner or could it be a preliminary/finalized Morro Dragon? Quote

It has the one central spire and it's built into the mountain. Edit: Nvm, I looked at some pictures of the temple of light again and it has 2 spires and is a little smaller. Mandate Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) It's the Ultra Dragon (it's been to long old friend ) Oh man, it is Ultra Dragon! I didn't notice the other heads, but they're there! edit: HD picture of the box art There's a blue tint to some of the weapons (lighting effect?). Spinjago looks a little less cool now, but I wouldn't mind getting it if it appears in sets. EDIT 2: They're transparent black. If LEGO finds any way to implement that style of weapon, I won't hesitate to buy any and all sets they appear in. Edited January 26, 2015 by JayWalker Quote
coolcab1 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Just saw the preliminary images and they look horrible (I shouldn't be so quick to judge since these aren't final but, still I was expecting a little more from TLG). EDIT: A quick question is the Shadow of Ronin game canon to the show? Edited January 26, 2015 by coolcab1 Quote
Thelegomaster Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 The dragon's tail looks different.. Maybe it's not the UltraDragon and just a new dragon all together? Quote
legofanatic12 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Do you remember the Ninjago Booster packs in 2012? I hope they produce it along with the airjitzu sets. Maybe we will getting some Elemental Masters like Neuro, Camille, Ash, Shadow Master, Jacob, Bolobo, and Gravis since the main ninjas had their own airjitzu along with two ghosts Morro and Wrayth. PenPlays Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) EDIT: A quick question is the Shadow of Ronin game canon to the show? Apparently so. It also includes locations from the show! The dragon's tail looks different.. Maybe it's not the UltraDragon and just a new dragon all together? Four heads, each matching the location and design of the four heads of the Ultra Dragon. That tail is the same. The green translucent pieces on the wings are the same as well. Edited January 26, 2015 by Penkid11 Quote
-Zond- Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Some Morro theories: What if Morro is this guy? I don't know, why, but Morro sounds for me like him. He's just dead and now... He's a ghost! WHat about it, ah? Edited January 26, 2015 by -Zond- Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Those two-toned black and gold weapons are just great! I know LEGo would probably not do this, but if they made those chromed in set form I would be very happy! Quote
