Krulis Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Master Wu's Dragon includes old man's blue teapot (using genie lamp) . The dragon itself looks great too (love the mustache on it). Quote
DraikNova Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) I just saw the Atamaii TV video and the Destiny's Bounty was significantly changed from the prelim promo video. It got less wide, perhaps loss some length, and the hull looks much less substantial. So less like a flying boat and more like a flying shoe. And I'm not liking the change to smaller sails. I wonder if the rear engine from the prelim is retained as some sort of pop-out feature. Well, it seems to have been changed to double rear cannons, using the new spring-loaded bricks, mounted on a rather nice-looking turntable system. Edited January 28, 2015 by DraikNova Quote
-Zond- Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Wow, Morro Dragon will glow in dark! YES! Or Nya is Master of Water? By some information, if her parents were the master of fire and the master of water, she got only eyes and favourite colour from her mom. Edited January 28, 2015 by -Zond- Quote
Mandate Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 The brown/azure minifigure is not Nya. It may be Dareth (and that's the closest match), but it's unconfirmed. The color scheme is too far away from anything Nya has ever recieved, brown, azure and gold (for the armor). According to the videos, the Morro ninja want to turn Ninjago into a ghost world. Ronin REX is awesome, Airjitzu spinners are NRG, Morro Dragon actually looks cool now (but there are still massive flaws with it), Wu's dragon is... big-headed, DB 2.0 still has some flaws (wings don't fold into an awesome shape anymore, but at least the set has a mouse and cheese in its attic ). Master_Data Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I love that new DB, but I'm going to want better pictures of the figures before I make any call about them. I'm guessing that Skylor is out, but I hope someone gets the name of this new ninja. This may turn out better than expected. Quote
GoldenChi Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 That brown minifig is female. The part where the blue belt wraps around the waist, you can see those black curves. Quote

You've got a good eye- didn't notice that until now. If this is Skylor, I wonder why they changed the color of her suit? Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Has anyone else noticed the morro mini figure in the toy fair video from atarmii? It is a dark version of Lloyd! You can see his symbol on his chest and his flyer handle. Quote
Thelegomaster Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 There was a picture of the DB 2.0 that had hair pieces in the background. One hair piece looked like Nya's... Quote
CET23 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) So I took this screenshot (http://i.imgur.com/GrBhtMk.png) of the GREEN airjitzu flyer, which I believe to be the Moro Flyer (http://i.imgur.com/v5VEoQm.jpg), because I was looking on it and the symbol on both the minifigure and the launcher base is very similar to the golden dragon symbol (http://www.bricklink...pb1348c01.jpg?2), and that got me thinking so I went back to the translation that Samed5 kindly gave us of the story video from earlier. I speak German, and they basically said this When Lloyd is possessed by Morro and his ghosts, Lloyd (They may have meant Jay), Kai, and Cole have to learn an ancient martial art (I assume they mean airjitzu) to defeat them. Based on this I'm beginning to think that Morro (or Moro) has actually completely possessed Lloyd's body which would make sense if he is a ghost. This would also explain why (so far) there isn't a Lloyd airjitzu spinner and he seems to appear in so few sets in the coming line. Anyways, this is just a guess I had. I could be wrong. Edit: on a side note here's a relatively clear picture of Kai's airjitzu minifigure which I can assume the other 3 ninjas are modeled the same way: http://imgur.com/H3pN2IA Edit the 2nd: I just now realized that LegendsOfNinjago got the same idea I had and posted before me, sorry didn't mean to steal your thunder there. obsidianheart Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I don't follow the story, but isn't Lloyd supposed to be super-powerful? Then they'd have to find some new way to neutralize him every storyline, or it's just like "Why doesn't Lloyd just GOLDEN POWER it away?". Quote

Then they'd have to find some new way to neutralize him every storyline, or it's just like "Why doesn't Lloyd just GOLDEN POWER it away?". Agreed, they made him too powerful in the supposed-to-be "last" Ninjago episode, as that was supposed to be the end of Ninjago... Now they just have to find ways to make him less powerful. But he DID give away all his power in Rebooted, so why is he still so powerful? Quote

Lloyd sacrificed his Golden Power so that everyone on the team (except Nya, Wu, Garmadon, Dareth, Misako, etc) would have their elemental powers back, and to take a huge target off his back. Ironically, the Golden Ninja suit had reticules on it. He's stuck with his Green power now, but you could still easily defeat him if you knew how. These are ghosts, remember? edit: If we're going to shove a random timeline of events in place for the sets, it looks like DB 2.0 comes first. A normal version of Lloyd is in that set. Master_Data Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 But he DID give away all his power in Rebooted, so why is he still so powerful? Chen referred to him as the Master of Power in the Thunderblade episode... I guess it's just who he is. Like JayWalker said, you could beat him if you knew how. But I'm not so sure that Morro is Lloyd- the symbol is the only similarity. Quote

Like JayWalker said, you could beat him if you knew how. But I'm not so sure that Morro is Lloyd- the symbol is the only similarity. Well, Samed5's description seemed to fit the bill well enough. It means there's a flyer for all 5 ninja, plus a generic bad guy. Morro may be possessing Lloyd, which opens up a huge possibility of who Morro might be. The ghosts in general are probably people that died in the Serpentine Wars, or rather, Ronin's troops. Which would make sense as to why he makes an appearance, only he knows how to defeat them. This, the Korean episodes, the red colorscheme of Ronin R.E.X., the pairing of Kai and Ronin in the same set, Ronin being good, and finally, the fact that this is the most Kai-centric vehicle we've gotten all year, is starting to make me think that Ronin may actually be Kai's father. It's not too far fetched, dead people have come back to life and allegiances have changed in NINJAGO. We'll only know when we get through the Anacondrai wave. Quote

And of course all the nad stuff is gonna happen to Lloyd he is, by Chen's discription, "the profosized green savior" The problem is, is that Lloyd's story arc has been completed, and now they've made him the "team leader" of sorts even though Kai is the best motivator of all of them. All of the prophecies of the white Green ninja defeating the Overlord have been fulfilled... Why do I get the feeling I'm going to be proven wrong by a retcon that didn't need to be made? Mandate Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Great news! LEGO has somehow managed to make the NINJAGO website for the US even worse! Now, it features: - Anacondrai asthetic but only pictures relating to Rebooted - Tech Wu as the link on the LEGO Products page, rather than Tournament Kai - Tournament of Elements trailer (this was added to the UK version as well) - Removal of everything relating to Season 4 and the Winter sets except for the banner, the game and the trailer Did the old website even need anything done to it aside from a change of pictures? LK901 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 will zane come back Yes. He appears in an Airjitzu set, and in Titan Mech battle. Check out the Nuremberg toy fair images. Quote
