Ardelon Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Hmm, the ghost wave does not seem as good as the current Chen/ancondrai wave. The ghost color scheme is too disjointed and all over the place. No interest in the airjitsu flyers/spinners or the glow in the dark gimmick. But that DB looks pretty darn awesome. On par with the original, if not better. Funny reusing the genie lamp as a teapot, since the spout is completely impractical for a teapot. Im also amused by the chainsaw tail on the Wu dragon. Almost as funny as Kais first fire dragon spouting fire from its tail... So, thanks to the video Aanchir posted, we now know for certain the female ninja is dark red. So, another piece of evidence (apart from the similar emblem and the extra hairpiece in the DB) that points to Nya. Shame, I was hoping for Skylor, as Nya already has her Samurai minifig. Eagerly anticipating more and better pics. Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 I've actually seen teapots that heavily resemble magic lamps. But that piece doesn't really match the style of a Japanese one. Quote
bricksnator Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Looks like the 2015 Tournament of Elements sets have arrived in North America at Amazon.com. I just ordered the two cheapest ones and the Skylor-Anacondrai Copter set. http://www.amazon.co...BKV4GEJCRF5JLLE Edit: SkylOr... Edited February 9, 2015 by bricksnator Quote
Thelegomaster Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I just ordered all of the ninja (excluding Skylor's hood, because it was sold out. I ordered a pink ponytail piece instead) on the LEGO website's bricks and pieces section. I should be getting them in 3-8 workdays. Quote

I did the same last week, but I ordered Mia's hair from the Friends line. Shame LEGO was out of the ninjas' head pieces and Skylor's hood- anyone know where I can find these for a reasonable price? LegendsOfNinjago Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Just bought Jungle Trap and Lava Falls, hoping to pick up Enter the Serpent and and the Ninja DBX this weekend. I love Amazon! Also it appears we have yet another "Official Guide" along with Path of the Ninja, this year. So we have two unknown exclusive ninja figs *crosses fingers for Stone Armor Jay and Cole* Edited February 9, 2015 by LegendsOfNinjago Quote
bricksnator Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Enter the Serpent and the Ninja DBX are top of my list along with Dojo Showdown, but I've got to pace myself a bit! Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Same the Dojo Showdown is my favorite set, but's it's not currently avalible on Amazon for anything less that 68 bucks, so I'll wait. Quote

That's a reseller jacking the price up. I *believe* Dojo Showdown is exclusive to the Lego Store starting March 1, at least initially. Quote

8BrickMario Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 That's not a bad little model. I want to pick that up. Quote
Bricknblue Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 So several people here are abusing the LEGO replacement brick program? That's lovely. I know whom to blame when LEGO discontinues that service. Quote

PenPlays Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 It's a shame that you all are into Ninjago just for the minifigures. The sets are just as much a highlight. Quote
Mandate Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 It's a shame that you all are into Ninjago just for the minifigures. The sets are just as much a highlight. This. I never bought the MechDragon just because it had Garmadon and Wu in it, I bought it because the set was awesome, I was a collector, and I loved the show. And if I ever pick up DB 2.0, it will be solely because the set is awesome. TV show completely lost me after episode 44, and with that went the "collector" mantra I had. Quote
Arkanta974 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 (edited) It's a shame that you all are into Ninjago just for the minifigures. The sets are just as much a highlight. Not really for me, it depends for which set. For example the destiny bounty, the fire temple or the golden dragon are a must buy for me when a set like Skull truck or Fangpyre truck ambush are a bit meh for me ! So for this I bricklink the figure for my collection from the set I don't like. And of course it's depend the taste of the buyer for this point ! Edited February 10, 2015 by Arkanta974 Quote
Astar Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Master Wu's dragon is just phenomenal, I am blown away. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 I'm normally always more into the sets than the minifigures when it comes to Ninjago, and any dragons are always first priority for me (though I have got to say, the Serpentine are by far my favourite figures so I was pleased to see their return in this wave). That is mainly why the Summer wave is so attractive to me as practically every standard set seems to have a dragon in it. It's rare I buy Ninjago solely for it's minifigs. You might be shocked to hear that I'm not extremely interested in the Ninja but rather more interested in the villains as far as Ninjago minifigs are concerned! That said, can anybody pass any recommendations for 70750 Ninja DB X? I'm tempted to pick it up at some point and I especially need White Pythor and Kapau to complete my Anacondrai collection, but I don't have a lot of budget and I want to save what I do have for the Summer sets, but I might pick up the DB X if it's a fun build (and works on display) that makes it worth the £60 price tag. May I be better off just BL'ing Kapau and White Pythor, or waiting for a decent discount on it? (I would have gone Bricks and Pieces, but most of White Pythor is unavailable and has been from day one so didn't bother with Kapau either). Quote
bricksnator Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Better/non-blurry pictures of the Anacondrai Battle Mech polybag: This one popped up on the Toys "R" Us website. Maybe that's where the pics came from? Regardless, price is $3.99. I'm in for 3-5 of them. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=57582886&cp=&parentPage=search Quote
