DraikNova Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Personally, I hope it's in the ghost colors. I'd prefer that to yet another "classic" temple. It'd kind of bump the temple down from a must-by to a "if the functions and parts are great" for me if it used the visually relatively boring combination of white, red, brown and black. Dark blue, black and spring green, on the other hand...yum. Quote
Thelegomaster Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I really don't mind what it looks like, as I will never get it. LEGO is already draining my wallet this year.... Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Somehow I find it hard to believe that the temple will be Dark Blue, Black and Spring Yellowish Green, the same colour as the Morro dragon. I don't think I recall seeing any buildings with that colour scheme (mind you, we haven't seen the summer wave in the TV show so I could be completely wrong). I'm erring more towards the colour schemes used on the facades in the Summer sets for the Temple colour. Maybe there'll be a Ghost Army dragon in there. That said, if the Temple's main two colours were Dark Blue and Spring Yellowish Green, I wouldn't complain. An abundance of those colours used in basic and useful bricks (in enough quantity) would certainly garner interest from some AFOL's, especially since the latter has been an extremely rare colour until very recently. I have a hard time imagining that this Temple will have a price tag higher than, say, the Monster Fighters Haunted House. £150 for a ~2000 piece temple with around 10-12 figures (I imagine it should have more figs than the upcoming flagship set) doesn't sound unreasonable. I just hope they don't include too many vehicles, one small vehicle and a dragon would be enough in such a set, any more would affect the temple itself Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I'm saving up for this set...i really hope it's not a disappoitment. As a collector i own all the figs.from ninjago. so i hope this set's main attaction isnt the figs...then it may not be worth it... Quote
Master_Data Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I'm guessing the temple will be red...like every other temple we've gotten from Ninjago ! Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 You know, the Temple doesn't necessarily have to be a ghost one, it's an Airjitzu Temple, so maybe it may be where the Ninja learn Airjitzu. Quote
horizon Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I think so far the only things certain about it are: it is a temple and it will have (pretty sure seen the name) an Airjitzu thing in the box. :) How big, expensive and colouring is only making wild predictions (still fun to do though). Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 The only thing that worries me is that the temple will integrate an Airjitzu spinner (like how the Ronin R.E.X does). It's a couple of big, expensive moulds and I worry that it might eat into the temple's overall piece count or maybe aesthetics (after all, the presence of the spinner on the R.E.X has resulted it in having a lower piece count and a higher price point than the Master Wu Dragon*). I do hope my fears are unfounded though and they either not include it at all, or integrate it in a clever and discreet way that also does not make it feel like you are getting a bad deal in terms of price per piece or overall size. Given that hardly any non-licensed, non-Creator, non-Technic sets have a price tag higher than £150 or whatever the US equivalent is, I guess that will likely be the temple's price And yes, until hearing of the name, I kept imagining the temple would be largely red, but now I'm not so sure... guess it's safe to say I can't wait for August! At least I think the other Ninjago sets come out in June in the UK so that should help tide me over... might even do a comparison pic comparing the two incarnations of Destiny's Bounty when I get the new one since I've got the 2012 one as well *Ronin R.E.X - 547 pieces @ $49.99; Master Wu Dragon 575 pieces @ $39.99. Quote
DraikNova Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 It's called the "Airjitzu Temple". Of course it's going to integrate an Airjitzu capsule. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 What if the temple is just one giant spinner.... Quote
CET23 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 What if the temple is just one giant spinner.... That would be glorious Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 It's called the "Airjitzu Temple". Of course it's going to integrate an Airjitzu capsule. I never said it wasn't My thoughts were that I was hoping it wasn't (since D2C's normally don't use play feature parts like the Airjitzu capsule generally?), but it probably will make an appearance nonetheless. But has anybody thought that the Airjitzu capsule might not actually be integrated into the build at all, but rather a standalone piece like in the Airjitzuu sets? Yes, unlikely, but that option could potentially be better regarding the Temple's aesthetics unless they can hide the whole function inside the temple in a very clever fashion (I'm imagining stuff like part of the temple, maybe a back room structure splitting in half when the Airjitzu ripcord is pulled and stuff like that. That would be cool... but fairly impossible I guess). What if the temple is just one giant spinner.... Reading that made me imagine a giant UCS Ninjago spinner... that you could use like a normal spinner. Don't ask me why Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Okay....So I did an expirement... In the video, the guy said he already thought that 70750 was called The Airjitzu Temple. He said something like "my friend and I were right" or something to that effect. Sooooo....I emailed Lego asking about a set that doesn't exist 70730 Ice Glider, there response was along the lines of "Thanks for emailing us, isn't exciting all the new sets...We can't tell you about 70730 Ice Gilder..." What if it's just there general response... I Just thought i'd put that tid-bit of info out there. Quote

LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 I understand that, but I made up the name and they went with it. By the sounds of the video they asked about the set and gave a set name...as did I. I don't know why I even bring this up, could this name also be made up? Quote

Dr.Cogg Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 There are 3 possibilities this Temple could be, that I can see: #1 Kryptarium Prison #2 The Ghost Temple #3 Chen's Palace Quote
Lyichir Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) There are 3 possibilities this Temple could be, that I can see: #1 Kryptarium Prison #2 The Ghost Temple #3 Chen's Palace Don't forget #4: something entirely new. It's far too early to rule out THAT possibility. Edited April 6, 2015 by Lyichir Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 *Ronin R.E.X - 547 pieces @ $49.99; Master Wu Dragon 575 pieces @ $39.99. Well if you watched the Brick Show's videos about a month back, you would've gotten all the prices like me. Quote
Mandate Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 It's not #1 or #3. Kryptarium is a prison, not a temple, and Chen's palace is easily ruled out. I'm curious as to why you used the photo you used for Chen's palace, because that image has nothing to do with it. The image itself though, that could be close to what we're going to get. Morro already knows Airjitzu, so it's not out of the question that the D2C set will be a ghost temple. Quote
PenPlays Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Well if you watched the Brick Show's videos about a month back, you would've gotten all the prices like me. Yes. Brickshow's source is the same as ours. The Toy Fairs are very helpful for this basic information. I don't see how this is relevant. We were talking about the Temple's design and price and you just say this at random. It's kind of an odd stray off topic don't you think? Quote

Master of Spinjitzu Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I think that Morro is one of the First Elemental Masters, like Skylor's mother. Because his similar Lloyd's symbol. But maybe he was expel First Master of Spinjitzu, and decided avenge Elemental Masters? Quote

You seem to have a theory for the overall storyline. We discuss the storyline here in the TV show thread. Nice profile pic, by the way. I wouldnt be suprised if it was ghost related....i'm just pointing out a fact Whether or not if it has to do with Airjitzu, it's almost guaranteed to include some Ghost Warriors. Although, it would be nice if they tried to avoid that, seeing as Exclusives tend to outlive the regular wave sets (Haunted House, anyone? Although its minifigures were loved year round regardless) meaning that the ghost warriors would become vastly irrelevant once the Ninjago Movie releases. Quote
