Ninja of Fire Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Yes. Brickshow's source is the same as ours. The Toy Fairs are very helpful for this basic information. I don't see how this is relevant. We were talking about the Temple's design and price and you just say this at random. It's kind of an odd stray off topic don't you think? Well 'TheOneVeyronian' only stated the prices for the Master Wu Dragon and the Ronin R.E.X. so I was just saying that all the prices are available on the Brick Show's channel. Quote
Master_Data Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I never said it wasn't My thoughts were that I was hoping it wasn't (since D2C's normally don't use play feature parts like the Airjitzu capsule generally?), but it probably will make an appearance nonetheless. But has anybody thought that the Airjitzu capsule might not actually be integrated into the build at all, but rather a standalone piece like in the Airjitzuu sets? Yes, unlikely, but that option could potentially be better regarding the Temple's aesthetics unless they can hide the whole function inside the temple in a very clever fashion (I'm imagining stuff like part of the temple, maybe a back room structure splitting in half when the Airjitzu ripcord is pulled and stuff like that. That would be cool... but fairly impossible I guess). Not impossible- they figured out how to make the turbines rotate on the Ronin R.E.X., so I wouldn't put it past them to figure something out. Whether they have the temple split (like the Fire Temple), rotate like a saucer, or just launch the spinner from the roof, they'll integrate that Airjitzu function as a part of the build somehow. I think it would be awesome to have the top of the temple rotate open as the Airjitzu spinner was launched! Quote

"Vey" only stated those two specifically, as they are the only two that are relevant for that conversation. I would love for the top of the temple to spin open at the top, unleashing a spinner once it fully opens. Also, did anyone consider that the temple might be a battle arena, a la the Ninja Battle Arena? Quote

Arkanta974 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 .Also, did anyone consider that the temple might be a battle arena, a la the Ninja Battle Arena? probably want promote his new game with a set just like the Ninja Battle Arena who feature Spinjitzu. We have the same idea ! Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 "Vey" only stated those two specifically, as they are the only two that are relevant for that conversation. Alright, I'm sure you're always right and I'm wrong. Quote
Mandate Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Alright, I'm sure you're always right and I'm wrong. Woah there, slow down a bit. First of all, no, you're not. Second of all, Penkid actually is right and there's no reason to react like this to that. REX and the Wu Dragon sets are relevant in this discussion because they are both at similar price points and have a large difference in piece count, due to REX's airjitzu spinner and function. The other sets are irrelevant because they're at vastly different price points and none of them feature airjitzu spinners. I understand that in a debate/discussion/argument it can be difficult when you seem to always be on the losing side or it feels like you're messing up everything, but just remember to respect other people. If it doesn't contribute or help, don't post it. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Suppose I should clear something up - Penkid and Mandate are both right, I only quoted those two prices as they were the only ones that were relevant in my last post, comparing the impact adding an Airjitzu capsule to a set does to price and piece count and whether it would impact the piece count and/or price of the Temple, if at all. Nothing too complicated about that But the top of the temple spinning and unleashing a capsule is even better than my idea of an outbuilding - I'd love to see that, since given the size of an Airjitzu capsule, only a D2C size set would have the capacity to completely encase it in such a manner, without the entirety of the temple being dedicated to just that function (like how the Fire Dragon was stored in the Fire Temple, it was a great function but it did leave the interior with something left to be desired...). Dr.Cogg Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Do we know for sure that D2C, is called the Temple of AirJitsu or is this just a rumor ? Quote

It's a rumor Alright, I'm sure you're always right and I'm wrong. Ha! If I were always right, I wouldn't be speculating with this lovely crowd. Give yourself some credit, though. You were trying to add to the conversation by looking at the sets from the perspective of the entire wave. For instance, when it comes to parts-per-piece ratio, I love how massive the part count is on the Final Flight of the Destiny's Bounty. I loved the original, and seeing it getting a beefier update makes me overjoyed! That's a good idea, but I'm not sure how an Airjitzu battle arena would work... there's no feasible or featured way for the spinners to "fight" one another. Step 1. Release ripcord from directly above a large ring shape in the center of the Temple. Step 2. Watch Spinner Capsule drop gracefully-ish into the ring. Step 3. Watch Spinner Capsule safely stop spinning within the confines of the Temple Step 4. Reach in, and pull the spinner capsule out. Step 5. Repeat. Quote

Master_Data Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Also, did anyone consider that the temple might be a battle arena, a la the Ninja Battle Arena? D2C Battle Arena? Seems a bit unlikely for a D2C with a high price tag. Quote
Master of Spinjitzu Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I think that new flying spinners will be not very good to fight on a ground. But maybe LEGO will do a special air arena for this spinners? Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I was looking at the winter sets and notice the Ghost Ninjas in the Morro Dragon set are more Human I don't know if this is just an error. Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 What if the Airjitzu flyer is integrated into a function of say, opening the sections of the Temple (somewhat like the Fire Temple) and after the whole process is completed, the flyer is released. I reckon that if an Airjitzu Flyer will be in the set, it may be Lloyd's. Quote

I reckon that if an Airjitzu Flyer will be in the set, it may be Lloyd's. Assuming it's the ninja's temple, that would make sense, although LEGO has been giving Zane lots of attention lately. If it's a ghost Airjitzu Temple, it will definitely be Morro's. Quote
Master of Spinjitzu Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 And i saw on a photo some strange things, that look like Zane's shurikens, but bigge. Is it new ninja's wearon? Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Yeah, i'm suprised we haven't talked about the shurikins yet. they're alll over the place inclusing Ronin's belt. As for the Ninja Ghost in Morro Dragon, i'm still convinced it's Lloyd. Quote

The little intro video that was featured at the German Toy Fair had stated that Lloyd would get possessed, regardless if Morro did it or not. Quote
Aanchir Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Nobody's talking about it here, but just in case anybody wasn't following the LEGO Dimensions news, several of that theme's expansion sets are Ninjago-themed: 71207 ($25) includes Kai, Cole, a "Boulder Bomber" (mini Boulder Blaster), and "Blade Bike" (mini Blade Cycle). 71215 ($15) includes Jay and a mini Storm Fighter. 71216 ($15) includes Nya and a mini Samurai Mech. 71217 ($15) includes Zane and a mini NinjaCopter. None of the figures are exclusive but it's cool that Ninjago is getting so much representation in this game. The Ninja all come in their current (1HY 2015) costumes, but are armed with their Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu, a nice nod to posterity. The minifigure bases are all decorated with the figure's emblem while the vehicle bases are standardized. Quote
Master_Data Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) Thanks Aanchir! It's a bit strange that they chose the Fire Temple as the backdrop for the Ninjago expansion packs when they could have teased the Airjitzu Temple. Edited April 9, 2015 by Master_Data Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 @Master_Data...I was hoping for a teaser to that. I scowered all the videos...nothing. Needless to say, i have not been focused at school today...and Dimentions won't even be out until I'm in college...better start saving now... Quote
DuckBricks Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Anyone hoping we will get the rest of the elemental masters with Dimensions? Quote
Master_Data Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) I don't think so. When they announced Jay and Cole, I thought we were going to get their Stone Armor versions. I think they are just going to give us the current variant. There are only two exclusive figures and one is from an existing theme. I doubt that they will give us the other Elemental Masters as they've passed by every opportunity to so as of yet. Edited April 9, 2015 by Master_Data Quote
Colossus Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I'm just happy that I can be Marty McFly or Cyborg and fight alongside the ninjas in Ninjago City! Quote
