DuckBricks Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 (edited) Wait a second. Are you guys referring to me, or the YouTube uploader? We wouldn't be referring to you as a kid, as only adults (those 18 years or older) are allowed to join Eurobricks... *ahem* We were referring to the YouTube user who got the stills of that image. It seems that only kids get them first. It's probably because, outside of school, most kids have a lot more time on their hands than adults. Yup, sorry if there was any misunderstanding. What Penkid said. Anyway, upon further examination, the image appears to be a poster on a wall of some sort... Perhaps a Lego employee took this picture? Edited April 13, 2015 by legozebra Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Maybe, but if it was taken at one of the Toy Fairs, it would've appeared a month ago (?). So maybe the YouTube uploader has a relative working in TLG and asked them to take a picture. Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Where did you see it? Unless you went to the Toy Fair(s). Quote
Cagast Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 In one of many videos of Nuremberg toy fair. Quote
Thelegomaster Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 http://m.ebay.com/itm/311341230956?nav=SEARCH How does anybody get these this early?!? Quote
just2good Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 http://m.ebay.com/it...?nav=SEARCH How does anybody get these this early?!? It's xdelecru, he has 'them connections... Quote
Thelegomaster Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 It's xdelecru, he has 'them connections... Interesting, will you try to get these? I'm thinking of just waiting for the sets, $50 is not worth it right now. Quote
Mandate Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) That Kai minifgure... beautiful. Also, the elemental emblems/insignias/whatevers lose their "stylization" which I'm glad to see. Did they really have to implement his scar, though? As for Morro and Wrayth, I don't like them. They look suitably "ghost-y", but having both legs transparent yet with armor in place looks out of place to me. I know it's meant to represent their spirit or ectoplasm, but it still looks odd to me. All three have superb printing, but I'm not too interested in them overall. It's xdelecru, he has 'them connections... So says just2good Edited April 19, 2015 by Mandate Quote
PenPlays Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 http://m.ebay.com/it...?nav=SEARCH How does anybody get these this early?!? Morro is not wearing Lloyd's symbol at all... Quote
Aanchir Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Huh, Kai has his NRG face. Not quite the same as the one from the original NRG Kai, but yes, the Airjitzu ninja figures seem in many ways like they're intended to be a new take on the NRG figures (as in, Ninja literally made of their elements). Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 We according to a picture i saw from the NYTF I talked about the ninja unlocking airjitzu, so i'd say, like Aanchir, the NRG powers are similar. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 http://m.ebay.com/it...?nav=SEARCH How does anybody get these this early?!? Interesting. I guess one of the online lego reviewers will pay the price and use it for channel content so we could see and in hand review of these soon. But still, $50 for 3 minfigs with zero accessories is a bit much...I'm guessing these are production samples which explains why they are out so early. I assume that, given this auction, some more stuff may be showing up on Ebay soon so we should all stay tuned I guess! Question: Has anyone ever put up an entire set months before release? Quote

YCF, Brickqueen, or Brick Show would pay that price in a heartbeat for views (the suckers). Regarding your question about sets being leaked out months before. In recent memory, someone in Mexico got MetalBeard's Sea Cow about two months before the sets official release. They posted pictures and everything. They knew someone who worked at Lego in the area, and by the sounds of it, that worker has since been terminated. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Thanks for the info Penkid11. Premature product leaks are becoming more and more scarce as toy manufacturers crack down on it. All of the minifigs listed by the EBay seller have been sold (looks like they had 5 sets of 3 figures). So, I guess keep an eye on YouTube in a couple of days! Quote
DuckBricks Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 In other news, BZP reported that the "Max Messenger" feature on the Club site has been replaced by a Lloyd Messenger. I admit that I hadn't heard of Max Messenger until BZP reported about it, but I decided to give it a try... There's a few references towards Morro in it. If you choose the question "Can you tell us what happened with Morro and his ghost ninjas," Lloyd replies "Not yet. It's a bit raw for me right now. The whole story will emerge over the next few months." Hopefully, this is an indicator of when we will be getting new story material. There are also a few offhand references, like the mention of Airjitsu and the ghosts being the most creepy army he has ever faced. I have to admit I got a bit excited when I saw the Morro question, although it led to nowhere... Quote
PenPlays Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 The Ninjago Movie is no longer a factor next year. The date has been pushed an entire year forward. September 22nd, 2017 Quote
Aanchir Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 The Ninjago Movie is no longer a factor next year. The date has been pushed an entire year forward. September 22nd, 2017 Oh dear. I hope that wasn't an abrupt decision, because if it were it could have a negative impact on the LEGO Group's brand strategy for Ninjago. Hopefully, though, they have had time to adjust their plans for what sets they will release next year and how they plan to market them. Quote
just2good Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 The Ninjago Movie is no longer a factor next year. The date has been pushed an entire year forward. September 22nd, 2017 LOL O O LOL Wasn't expecting that, actually a little sad about it. Now, I'm hoping a third Simpsons CMF series takes any possible spot that a movie-based Ninjago CMF series would've taken. Quote
BrickJagger Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) That's really odd that Lego would do that. Unless another one of the movies is delayed, the Batman Movie, the Ninjago Movie, and TLM2 would all come out in a one year span. Edited April 21, 2015 by BrickJagger Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Maybe TLG can go further with Ronin, Morro and the Ghosts stories. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Oh my glub! That's really suprising. Aanchir has a point, if Lego doesn't have something for mid to Late 2016and early 2017, Ninjago won't have the same following when the movie realeases September 2017... Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Maybe their completely redeveloping the storyline, because it was said that there was still development on it when the date was changed. Quote
EdWebhead Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 It sucks that the date changed, but it's also a bit risky for TLG. The kids today that like Ninjago might not be fans in two years as they will probably grow out of it. Not sure if Ninjago will still be as popular by then to warrant a successful film. We'll see, I guess. Quote
