DraikNova Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 And now I definitely want the Titan Mech Battle. Incidentally, it's pronounced "Nee-ah" according to the show. I think that's not really correct according to normal transliteration of Japanese, but it is the official pronunciation though. Quote
Mandate Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) The "Write Like a Ninja" contest has been revealed who-knows-when on LEGO.com. It's simple - you write fanfiction, and if you win, it gets published in a Scholastic book and still won't be canon. But seriously though, I doubt that this would be a huge challenge. The contest is being held through the LEGO Message Boards (and is indeed official), and considering it's gone under the radar thus far... well, I doubt it's going to be as big a challenge as BFTGM. The Message Boards has had one or two good child writers every now and again, so it will be interesting to see the results of this. LEGO has got a record of writing competitions that never went anywhere (coughalphateamcough), so I'm a bit wary of this. Oh, and the Videos page was just updated. EDIT: It seems that LEGO has unveiled a Golden Ninja and a Sensei Wu Dimensions packs. Edited May 22, 2015 by Mandate Quote

Holy cow...Link?Not that writing fan-fiction is one of my things, but condensing canon and gently lacing it together with reasonable fanon assumptions...the potential for this could be surprising... Okay, granted, it still wouldn't be canon, but it would be official TLG non-canon. Quote

legofanatic12 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Since we did not get any of the remaining Elemental Masters in the new Ninjago book, but either soon or next year we will get some. I had noticed that Griffin Turner will appear in LEGO Dimensions as seen in the new trailer where Doc Brown transported into the Ninjago World, but it is unknown if he will be playable or not. Once if Turner is playable, we could get the rest of them such as Neuro and Ash. Quote

Well...if they ever become relevant again (and I mean really relevant, like Ronin relevant), I can see Lego doing them. The fact that they didn't make Neuro or Shade as official minifigures was a missed opportunity. Not that the other masters would be an issue, although I think Jacob would be a hard selling point as he kinda... sticks out like a sore thumb. Quote
Mandate Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Well, at the very least we got ten out of the 16-or-so combatants. Which really isn't a heck of a lot when half of that ten were the ninja themselves, another was Chen's daughter/faux-ninja and two were from another line. Quote
JasonEffex Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 For anyone in the UK, the new sets are now available at Smyths: http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/lego-bricks/c-774/lego-ninjago/?pageSize=12&page=2 There's also a few new pictures and more product descriptions on their website. Something I found interesting is the name of the gold and trans blue sword that's included in Ronin REX: the Sword of Sanctuary. Quote
Aanchir Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I don't expect to see a Shade minifigure because his torso is nothing but a recolor of the Roman Centurion minifigure. Figs with recolored decorations of that sort almost never show up in sets, certainly not in the same year they first appear, because usually if there are any plans to put a new fig in a set they give that fig a new design to begin with. Karlof and Griffin Turner are perfect examples. Quote

CET23 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 This description and box art from Master Wu's Dragon set probably explains Cole's appearance on the new show art http://imgur.com/WJ9pxBn . Also the ninja's new armor seems to be called "deepstone armor" and they have some "deepstone" weapons in addition to their new aeroblades. Quote

DraikNova Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Ooh, thanks! Really excited about the City of Stiix. And from the looks of it, those Airjitzu spinners launch really well and really, really high. I wish LEGO had known how to do this sort of stuff properly when they made the Rhotuka launchers.
