LegendsOfNinjago Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I'm buying from Amazon UK and will probably be getting the Ronin REX which I think will be $49.99 USD. Including shipping it comes to $61.47 USD and I'll get it in a week and a half. A 10 dollar extra charge for not having to wait 2 more months is totally worth it! Quote
plasticpolymerlove Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Does anyone knows how much Jay Walker One set cost in the UK? Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I'm gonna assume the same as Cole's Blaster Bike. Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Ugh, you guys don't even have the worst. We probably won't get the sets until September, here in Australia. Quote
ReZourceman Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Some information for all of us in Canada/USA looking to buy the sets. Currently, on Ebay all sellers of the Ninjago summer 2015 sets are in the U.K. From what I saw, best price on the sets (including shipping), still works out to around twice N.A. retail price. However, that will change in a week when the sets are mass released in the U.K. at Lego stores (they are currently only being stocked by independent stores, some larger regional chains, and in limited supply at TRU). More availability means more sellers on Ebay which will drive the price down. Now, you will still have to pay up over N.A. retail, but if you are impatient and want/need the sets before August 1st, you might be able to get the sets at something in the realm of the reasonable. I'm in this situation as my son wants a couple of the new sets for his b-day in late June and what can I say, I try to be a good dad! Not sure how much they will come down in price. UK retail prices are the same as US, just the currency changes, so with shipping you probably will be paying double regardless of how many sellers there are. I'm buying from Amazon UK and will probably be getting the Ronin REX which I think will be $49.99 USD. Including shipping it comes to $61.47 USD and I'll get it in a week and a half. A 10 dollar extra charge for not having to wait 2 more months is totally worth it! Ronin Rex is £39.99 over here. I'm really....really liking City Of Stiix so far. I only really got it because I thought it would do well on my YouTube channel, but so far I love it. The ship might be my favourite LEGO ship, the overall design is quite unique and I love the door feature on the bottom of the tower. Quote
PenPlays Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I'm gonna assume the same as Cole's Blaster Bike. Judging by box size, Cole's Blaster Bike will be $19.99 (this one is cross referenced with the UK price), whereas the Jay Walker One will be $24.99 or $29.99. I'm leaning more towards the latter. Stiix is no doubts $119.99. I'd be surprised, but very welcome if it ends up $99.99, but this is Toys R Us we're talking about. NOTE: All prices are assumptions in USD Quote
Exetrius Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I'm looking forward to that review too :) I just noticed all the great minifigs in the Master Wu Dragon set, I just love those ghosts! Is it true that Wu finally has a new face print? Quote
DraikNova Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Ugh, you guys don't even have the worst. We probably won't get the sets until September, here in Australia. I've had delayed releases as bad as that. However, at least you've probably never seen a $35 set sold for 54 euros. Quote

Is it true that Wu finally has a new face print? No. It looks exactly the same as all the other Sensei Wu faces Anyway, has this been shown here yet? I flicked through the instructions for the Master Wu Dragon, and there's some really nice artwork in the back showing the Ninjas and the Ghosts doing Airjitzu over what looks like the City of Stiix, with the Morro Dragon and Destiny's Bounty in the background, so I scanned it and thought I'd share it Heck, I even made the Morro Dragon art my avatar for now. Got a high resolution version here (warning: very large picture / file size) Edited May 25, 2015 by TheOneVeyronian Quote
Exetrius Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 This is off topic, but this makes me wonder where in Ninjago the City of Stiix lays. Maybe in the Cursed Realm? Quote

DuckBricks Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Over at the TV show thread several new pics were revealed, including several temples and villages. I'll post the building shots below so we can start guessing which one's the D2C... First off we have a floating temple apparently belonging to the undead Sensei Yang. It seems to be quite an important plot element: This temple in fact used to belong to Sensei Wu and had a different color scheme as seen in a flashback sequence: Then we have this temple with a glowing purple light that the ninja are apparently trying to attack/raid And for fun, here's Stiix in show What do you guys think will be the D2C? Personally, I think that the floating one is the most likely candidate... This is off topic, but this makes me wonder where in Ninjago the City of Stiix lays. Maybe in the Cursed Realm? It seems to be shrouded in mist off the coast of Ninjago, as seen in the above pic Edited May 25, 2015 by legozebra Quote
PenPlays Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Remember that show spoilers apply here as well. Did any of us think that the D2C temple might be non-canon? It wouldn't be very smart, but it could happen. Quote
ReZourceman Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I had SUCH a tough time getting this City Of Stiix review sorted. It took 90 minutes to render the video (sourcing material from a camcorder, action cam, camera and phone) and for some reason seemed to struggle at some still images combined with de-coupled audio from camcorder video. Ugh. Really stressed me out. And the thumbnail took me over an hour. Anyway....I've uploaded it finally! Phew. Hope you guys enjoy it, let me know if you've got any questions. Quote

Shakar Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Are those 2L axle rods on Wu's dragon's wings.... BLACK? That's a really nice surprise. Also, those flame pieces in gold do look very pretty. Great figs too (Ronin is still my favourite though). Edited May 25, 2015 by Shakar Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I wish there was some Zane artwork in this pic. Oh well. Oh yeah, thanks for pointing it out! The omission of Zane does seem very strange, but notice that Lloyd isn't in the picture either? All the other ninjas, Nya and Sensei Wu are, but not Zane or Lloyd. I think I can guess Lloyd's omission (it's nothing really spoilery - I think the Morro Dragon set has already spoiled it anyway! But I'll spoiler it just in case it is) Isn't Lloyd possessed by Morro by this point, hence does not appear fighting alongside the other Ninja? Either that or one of the ghosts in the picture is Lloyd. Notice the ghost warrior on the left has solid coloured legs? Out of all the Ghosts, only possessed Lloyd has solid legs in the sets. Is that him? And having a look at the pictures legozebra posted, I think it's safe to say the place in the artwork is definitely City of Stiix. And speaking of City of Stiix, thanks for the review ReZourceman! I think this set has just earned a place on my wanted list. Though I am not really sure if I'll end up picking up just some of the minifigures, given my severely limited budget... Are those 2L axle rods on Wu's dragon's wings.... BLACK? That's a really nice surprise. Also, those flame pieces in gold do look very pretty. Great figs too (Ronin is still my favourite though). Yep, they are black. Sure, they still appear every so often (but nowhere near as much as the red ones), but it's always nice to get them I believe this is also the first instance of the flame pieces appearing in a single colour - and I hope it's not the last, as it's a nice piece that does work well for the wings. Definitely; you can even see the boat. And the ghost with solid legs clinging to the Morro Dragon chain is Possessed Lloyd Edited May 25, 2015 by legozebra Quote

PenPlays Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) So, are the sets out in the US yet? As I've said several times, the sets come out in August. All the June releases are out now, and Ninjago (at least in the US) is not included. The Airjitzu spinners are, however, due out in July. Edited May 25, 2015 by Penkid11 Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I've converted all the sets from UK Euros to AUD, and they are $664.90, and this is without Chain Cycle Ambush, Jay Walker One, The City of Stiix, and the D2C set. I guess we're all going to have very empty pockets by the time the year is over. Quote
