8BrickMario Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Lloyd again? Remember the days when the focus was on Kai? Though the concept for the book is indeed interesting, the fig is boring by now. The build looks interesting, though. Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 That's actually a pretty nice little mech - I wish that was part of the prize for a certain contest, not World of Ninjago. Quote
DraikNova Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 That's actually a pretty cool mech. I hope the other builds featured in it are as good. Quote

Itaria No Shintaku Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Hello, I do not understand one thing. I've read that these are out in June in Europe and in August in US. I'm surprised as US always comes first... but OK... what I wanted to know is: is it right to expect those sets on shop.lego.com June the 1st? Thanks Quote

I'm surprised as US always comes first... but OK... what I wanted to know is: is it right to expect those sets on shop.lego.com June the 1st? Thanks That's been a degrading trend for years now. For the past few years, Europe has gotten plenty of stuff before us, however there are some themes that are slated for a specific date worldwide, and Lego is really good about acknowledging that (this year's Scooby Doo and Summer Wave Elves for example). Ondra Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Over at the TV show thread several new pics were revealed, including several temples and villages. I'll post the building shots below so we can start guessing which one's the D2C... First off we have a floating temple apparently belonging to the undead Sensei Yang. It seems to be quite an important plot element: This temple in fact used to belong to Sensei Wu and had a different color scheme as seen in a flashback sequence: Then we have this temple with a glowing purple light that the ninja are apparently trying to attack/raid And for fun, here's Stiix in show What do you guys think will be the D2C? Personally, I think that the floating one is the most likely candidate... It seems to be shrouded in mist off the coast of Ninjago, as seen in the above pic I think that they refurbish Sensei Wu temple later in series and become some kind of HQ and D2C temple set with rooms for all ninjas. But who knows... Lyichir Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 The symbol-less headwrap on Lloyd might not even be final, guys. Do note that the parts visible in the cutout of the cover include printed legs, whereas the legs on the fig in the mech are unprinted. It's too early to tell exactly what the finalized fig for that set will look like. Quote
DraikNova Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I'm not sure where you guys are getting the "symbol-less" bit from. I can see the zukin symbol on it relatively clearly. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Does anybody have the Ronin R.E.X. set yet? I'm trying to piece together the dragon in that set on LDD so I can plan some modifications to it, but it's quite hard to determine all the parts used in it. If anybody can upload even just a list of parts that make up the dragon, that would help. Also, anybody have any ideas on the tail connection used in the Cowler Dragon polybag? I have been able to discern most of it just from the picture on the front, but the tail connection and pieces used in the back of the body have me completely stumped... Yes, I'm aware that instructions will probably appear online for both on Monday, but anything that I can use to get a headway now would be useful Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Given the angle of the bone piece for the Cowler's tail, I would assume that it's attached with a tube w/hole to a bar plate like the one on the front that the head attaches to. Quote
neithan Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Just got Skylor from amazon. Since when does amazon sell minifigs...? Whatever. Next are the Airjutsu versions of our colourful ninjas. And then... I have to ask my wallets permission to proceed further. Quote

I thought that originally too, but the tail is at a very strange angle which is what is throwing me off. Unless there's some artistic liberties being taken, the angle of the tail implies some side-to-side movement as well. Just got Skylor from amazon. Since when does amazon sell minifigs...? Amazon Marketplace sellers have been doing that for years, well at least on Amazon.co.uk anyway Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 The tail can rotate if it's attached to one of these: Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 The tail can rotate if it's attached to one of these: Oh, I know that. What I meant to say is that the tail looks off-center to me, as if the piece you pictured was attached to this. I wasn't talking about the rotation of the tail. But I'm probably just overthinking it and it's just the same connection as the head. I do that a lot Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Oh, I hadn't thought of that. Well, it's possible. (How many ghost dragons do they need, anyway?) Quote
CET23 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) I love the details on the deepstone armor from this wave. Zane even seems to have some "techno dagger" things in his robes: http://imgur.com/AwKBkYp . I also noticed on the titan mech there is a sticker that says "Zane 2.0" which is a nice detail to think about since zane himself is technically a mech. Anyways long story short I really like this wave and all the little details these sets have. Edited May 29, 2015 by CET23 Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Oh, I hadn't thought of that. Well, it's possible. (How many ghost dragons do they need, anyway?) Apparently, a lot of them Ghost Warrior Cowler gets two all to himself though, as I realised when I picked up the Blaster Bike set at Smyths today. It's a nice set, maybe a little overpriced but the mini dragon is pretty decent. Though I will admit, the lack of legs is a bit annoying especially for display purposes, but I'm planning to rectify that with some simple additions, hence why I've been trying to build the legless dragons in LDD. Oh, and the gatling guns come in black for the first time in this set, always a useful colour. The only nitpick I have with the set is that parts of the launcher are obscured by the parts in front, so they do kind of misfire, and I did kind of expect an automatic pop-up feature to them (alas, it's completely manual, the two launchers even have to be lifted independently into position ) Quote
BrickBuilder3213 Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 We are getting way too many Ghoultar minifigs with these sets. Kinda makes him less special to get, compared to the other Ghost Masters. In other news, I got the Titan Mech Battle set. It's probably the best value-for-money Ninjago set of the year, next to most of the winter sets. Bansha is my favourite ghost at the moment, due to her colours and the fact that she's a female villain. Quote
cooper ace Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Does anyone know if the new sets will be available for Australia by June 1st on shop.LEGO.com??? Quote
