Pate-keetongu Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 The bricks and pieces seems to lack every new part and recolor, not only minifig parts. I think (hope) that they will fix it. Don't think it's a new business tactic as it lack many basic parts that just happen to be recolored, like round 2x2 jumpers from Destiny's bounty. I just wish to grab the printed shield from aforesaid Bounty and some of those Flyer windscreens. Ninjago fig parts seem to be a bit too specialized this time for my steampunk-heavy figbarf purposes, I'll leave them to you. Guess they won't sell the Morro Dragon wings, they'd make such great Mothman. Got to Bricklink them later. I might be rad and buy that Sensei Wu Dragon though, 60€ in Finland isn't too bad for such a beautiful sets. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Well, there is a bit of a result. Customer Service sent me an email back and they said all the new parts were out of stock, but that was apparently just because they needed to log them onto the system. Yes, I can believe that, that happened last June and they had 99% of new parts marked in stock within a week then, so I'm hopeful. I say check back next week. The only things that probably won't be in stock are fabric items, like the Morro Dragon wings, and items that come in their own bag (though that probably doesn't apply to these sets). Everything else is probably fair game. So no, I don't think there's any real motive to get people to buy the full sets here Quote
yg33 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Does anyone know if the new wave of Ninjago sets are available anywhere in the USA, Specifically the City of Stiix? I have a boy who really wanted to get some of these for his 6th birthday on June 9th, but cant find them anywhere. Thanks. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 I don't think he'll get them by then unless you buy online. The US will be getting them officially in August, I believe. Sorry about that. Quote
yg33 Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 thanks for the reply. Do you know of any online retailers carrying these sets, and shipping to the US? I couldn't find any Quote

With some searching, you can find some UK sellers that are selling the sets at or just slightly above UK retail. Express shipping may get it to you in time for your son's birthday. I am in the same boat as you (son's birthday upcoming) and was able to buy a set for my son for a grand total of $17 above retail which is pretty much a wash when you factor in shipping costs. You might also want to try Amazon UK. I think you may have similar results. Good luck to you sir! Quote

I was told that they might be uploaded, but that there might be a potential IP problem and they might never be available. That's ridiculous! There's no IP problem since they own the IP! I sent them another email asking what the problem could possibly be. I hope they confirm what TheOneVeyronian found. At least Morro's legs were in stock. Quote
DraikNova Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 That makes even less sense than the fact that the Overlord's armor isn't available. Sure, it was used initially for LoTR, but that's no excuse for removing the differently-colored version from a different theme from Bricks and Pieces. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 thanks for the reply. Do you know of any online retailers carrying these sets, and shipping to the US? I couldn't find any I have bought the Ronin Rex from AmazonUK and only expierced a slight rise in prices. I would recomend AmazonUk, unless you want the sets really soon, in which case you'll have a pretty big prices raise with shipping. Quote

That's odd, there's no IP problem either so really surprised they even suggested that. For reference, here's the exact email they sent me (this doesn't just apply to Ninjago parts, I inquired about some UA and Elves unique elements too): Dear ####Thanks for getting in touch with us. The parts are not available to buy yet as our experts still have not managed to put all the parts in the system and, as you can check for yourself, these parts cannot be found on Google or any other LEGO® specialised website yet. I am sorry you felt like recently we are not as fast as we used to be in having availability of new parts on Bricks and Pieces. We always try our best to provide the best and fastest service possible and I will definitely pass this feedback on to our quality management team to let them know that we need to improve. I would like to thank you for taking the time to let us know there is something we should look into. it is only thanks to our fans' feedback we can get better and better every year. As soon as the parts will be available you will be able to see and order them from our online service. We really appreciate your patience! Please let us know if you need anything else. Happy building! Michele LEGO® Service So there you have it. I'm really surprised you got a completely different response. This was the response I got from the customer service based in the UK. Quote
Shakar Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Does anyone know Ronin's hair colour? I want to give his minifig a hairpiece like in the game. It looks Dark Orange to me, but his beard looks darker in the set.. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I think that's Dark Tan, with orange lighting. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 for those who already have DBII, is it worth biying it at 154.98? for someone in the US Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I think that's Dark Tan, with orange lighting. Quote
TheOneVeyronian Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I really like that there is a dragon in most of the sets of this wave, but can't really help feeling a bit underwhelmed by them, so I thought I'd give them legs and more poseability options... Ninjago Ghost Dragon modifications by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Sure, there's some substitutions on the big guy on the right (because the Chima flames he uses aren't in LDD ), and in some cases I needed to use these pieces such as on the middle dragon's feet (they're not in LDD either!), but all 3 of these can be built in real life. I might knock up some instructions for these guys at some point... Quote

It looks Dark Orange to me, but his beard looks darker in the set.. It looks to be the same color as his arm. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=88283&in=M This is a list of all of the minifigures with that type of hair and it does seem to be dark orange like Lind Whisperer said. PenPlays Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) HOWEVER... Much like the consistences with Jay's hair among media, Ronin's hair is Reddish Brown in the TV show. Edited June 3, 2015 by Penkid11 Quote
Cagast Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Jay's hair is dark orange in TV show as well, it depends on lighting. However, his hair in Battles:Ninjago was light I meant only Orange. Edited June 3, 2015 by Cagast Quote
CET23 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Much like the consistences with Jay's hair among media, Ronin's hair is Reddish Brown in the TV show. That's true, here's a shot from the tv show that shows that fairly well http://imgur.com/zRs1OBm (There's no spoilers there just a pic of Ronin). However that would make finding his hairpiece more difficult since it looks like only one minifigure has had it in that color before: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=col106 . Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) Maybe the Ninjago show people are colorblind? Or maybe Jay and Ronin just use inconsistent amounts of hair dye? Edited June 3, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
DarthBrickus Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Or maybe Jay and Ronin just use inconsistent amounts of hair dye? That's probably it :-p Quote
CET23 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I was looking at the City of Stiix set and noticed there is a plate on the side of it that reads "Ronin's" http://i.imgur.com/JeqAomZ.png . I guess that part of the set is depicting his headquarters/house (there doesn't seem to be too much room to park Rex though ). It is also interesting that it just happens to be where the "Aeroblade of fire" is. Quote
Ninja of Fire Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Or Jay is Ronin's son? Unless Ed has multiple personalities... Quote
