mccoyed Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Elna and her son Bjar lead Eindrin, a Chobo rancher, to an abandoned nest. "What happened to the mother?" Eindrin asked. "No trace of her," Bjar said. "But mother has kept an eye on the nest in case she returned." "No chobo have come," Elna confirmed. "But I've kept away scavengers and predators until you could arrive." "I see," Eindrin said. "You were right to send for me." Elna and Bjar live a secluded but full life, hunting game and gathering what edible plant life grows wild in the deep forests of southern Mitgardia. They are happy to show Eindrin the eggs, knowing that he will see them to a safer place. Quote

MassEditor Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Hey Mccoyed, this is certainly a great little build. Simple but very pretty and effective landscaping, and really instills a sense of adventure in this build. Nice story as well! I love checking out each of your builds, each one seems to get better and better. Keep up the excellent work sir! Quote
mccoyed Posted July 30, 2014 Author Posted July 30, 2014 Thanks guys! Hey Mccoyed, this is certainly a great little build. Simple but very pretty and effective landscaping, and really instills a sense of adventure in this build. Nice story as well! I love checking out each of your builds, each one seems to get better and better. Keep up the excellent work sir! I'm working hard on photography and finally getting to a place where I'm feeling okay with it. I am also still experimenting a lot with landscaping and figuring out what I like and what I think looks best. It's so much fun! I dunno if I'll ever have a consistent style and I owe so much to builders like yourself that I feel a little bashful about such a nice comment! Quote
Gabe Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Nice story and vignette! The first shot is a winner for sure - very nicely composed. Quote
Maxim I Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Congratz! Even there are many different bricks, you managed to have a nice result without the MOC looking like one big chaos!!! Nice eggs btw :D Quote
mccoyed Posted August 1, 2014 Author Posted August 1, 2014 Thanks! Nice story and vignette! The first shot is a winner for sure - very nicely composed. Thanks Gabe! I'm pleased with it too. Congratz! Even there are many different bricks, you managed to have a nice result without the MOC looking like one big chaos!!! Nice eggs btw :D Thanks. I can't take full credit as I owe everybody on GoH for showing the way. When I first started building my own stuff again, after 10 years of dark age, it wouldn't have occured to me to use color effectively or to monitor a balance between detail and business in terrain. I'm glad you like the eggs. I really wish there was a better way to do them because I'm not 100% on them but honestly think I couldn't have made better large eggs with the pieces I have on hand. I'd be curious to see what others would have done with that since there are some really inventive builders. More inventive than me! Quote
