SMC Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Richard Attenborough has died at the age of 90, a second posthumous minifig after the joker Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Since the movie is set to open in July, those 4-5 sets might be related to the first films Unless we have another Lone Ranger situation on our hands of course Richard Attenborough has died at the age of 90. ...2014 continues to be a terrible year in that regard Quote
just2good Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Since the movie is set to open in July, those 4-5 sets might be related to the first films Unless we have another Lone Ranger situation on our hands of course It opens in June, actually. I wish you could be right, but June films appeared in the first half of the year catalogs before- the Man of Steel sets (which had the sets start showing up in April) and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie sets (those had a weird situation- the film was supposed to come out in June but got pushed back to August, and the sets were listed in the catalog still for a May release). deskp Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) I don't think we will see that many sets for past films I don't think we'll see any. the dinosaurs are like the thing, and then they mgith aswell make the sets for the new movie wich gets promoted. the old films are not as big a thing as fans might think them. And simply because since i havent seen it mentioned: Edited August 24, 2014 by deskp Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 @just2good: You're right Well, in that case they're definitely based on JW @deskp: I think the first one is still seen as a classic and really holds up. The sequels on the other hand... not so much They're still entertaining enough in my book though Quote
just2good Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 And, I asked 'Hulk_Smash' when they'll be released, he thinks it said May. Quote
KCMatze Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 The Gate with maybe a Jeep from JP 1 is a must. Something like that cuusoo project that got rejected. Watched the movie about 2-3 weeks ago and yes, it is still awesome. Hurrah for JP LEGO! Quote
Floundie Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Yes!!! And I was just about to watch Jurassic Park again. 4 or 5 sets for the new film seems a bit much. I would think 3 would be from Jurassic World and the potential other 2 would be from the first films. Quote
robuko Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Great news. Looking forward to new dinosaur moulds. I'm not really a fan of the films but it would be nice to get Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Richard Attenborough minifigs. More sand blue and olive dino parts please! Quote
Sir Walter Maugham Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Goodness, this turned out to be true? Color me shocked! I don't know why we assumed that Chris Pratt was off his rocker. (Which he would have to be to mistake Lego for any other brand after voicing the main character in the Lego Movie) Anyway, as I said at the start of the topic, I can't wait for new dino molds. I won't be making the mistake of passing on them this time around. Quote
SMC Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 will we get new dino molds as the last ones were not that long ago and very good Quote
clonebricksNL Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I love to see new dino sets. But i think we don't get Jw sets kre-o allready has a license for it right? Quote
BrickG Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Good. Just give me new Dino Molds. My T-Rex and Triceratops need friends! Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I love to see new dino sets. But i think we don't get Jw sets kre-o allready has a license for it right? Lego are definitely making JW sets. Quote
SMC Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 we might see something bigger than a T-Rex this time Lego are definitely making JW sets. can you tell us any more or was there just boxes for these sets? any sign of sets for the first film? and thanks for the info Hulk_Smash Quote
Ondra Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I think that there will be some sets with veterinary vehicles . http://www.scified.com/site/jurassicworld/new-photo-of-jurassic-world-mobile-veterinary-unit-vehicle-leaked Quote
*thomas* Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Great to hear LEGO is going to bring out a few JW sets, I do hope they will turn out better than their first attempts a few years back. And, like mentioned above, some sets from the previous movie (the gate and jeeps) followed by some from JW would be fantastic. Quote
Geertos13 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Oh! This is great news, should this all turn out to be official, even though it seems to be on the right way, this would actually make up for quite some new epic Dino Sets. I didn't get around on buying any in the past lines, but I'm definitely not going to miss on this one! Woohoo 2015 is getting better and better Quote
gedren_y Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I missed out on all but one dinosaur Lego set, and that was from Dino Attack (US release). I love my flexible mutant dino, but would be happy to have a more brick built design. Quote
SandMirror38 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Do we have any idea of what the sets will be?? If there is the gates and a car I will buy that INSTANTLY... Quote
narbilu Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 I would love to have some dino's... #1 because (all) the licenses I collect will be stopped by the end of this year #2 every new kind of mount is welcome to my collection Quote
strangely Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 will we get new dino molds as the last ones were not that long ago and very good I'm assuming they'll recolor the current molds and perhaps make one or two new molds for new Dinosaurs. There are several iconic dinosaurs we don't have after all. Though I doubt that rubber Dino will reappear as that thing wasn't very good. I'd like to see a Mosasaurus. Quote
Bricknblue Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 It's not based on Jurassic Park, it's Jurassic World. I love dino sets but dino sets and a license will make these things insanely expensive. And if someone has seen the sets, why not share what they look like? Quote
*thomas* Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 If they make anything that comes close to this, I'll buy it: Quote
