just2good Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Stupid question but what in the world is BTTF? Back to the Future. Quote
Cy_Bored1337 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Back to the Future. Oh i feel pretty stupid right now lol Quote
SMC Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I don't see any reason why a game would not work, already wondering what the pre-order bonus will be and we don't even know what is in the sets. For the sets I hope we don't get two sets with a t-rex like in dino, I hope we get a few different molds instead. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Would you guys say we are likely to see new Dinosaur molds? I won't lie, my LEGO collection has not evolved recently as I am a large Mega Bloks Collector, but these and the Marvel sets definitely tickle my fancy. New Molds would sway my opinion into buying the whole wave... Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I am a large Mega Bloks Collector... Burn the heretic! ...just kidding I guess we'll see both old and new moulds, the new Dino antagonist sounds like he (or she ) would require new moulds while other dinos certainly don't (e.g. the raptors, the latest mould is spot-on, not much room for improvement there). Ezekiel2517 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) I don't know, the Dino velociraptors looked pretty cool, but you gotta admit that they were too tall compared to the minifigures. look at this size chart: http://www.jplegacy.org/encyc/debates/raptors.jpg Edited September 5, 2014 by Ezekiel2517 Quote

The current raptors are fantastic! Edited September 5, 2014 by deskp Quote
LuxorV Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 For science sake, I think those in the last Dino line are Utah Raptor, instead of Velociraptor. And those in JP are more like Deinonychus (which is in the same family as the Velociraptor). I suspect Crichton originally used the name Velociraptor because it conveyed a better sense of they speed and rapacity, then it stuck to all the raptor-like dinos in media. Quote
BrickG Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 The brown T-Rex I got from Dino is one of my favorite Lego "macro"figures. It's pretty close to scale too. I hope the figures for this aren't so totally different in style. Also I'm a bit concerned that we'll get mutated Dinos more than normal ones. This movie is about some mutant T-Rex. I'm more interested in real ones. Quote

I'm positive whatever new dino figures lego makes they will match the style of their current dinosaur. over the last couple years lego has really found a consistent style. Quote

I don't have the quote but it was said that the mutant T-Rex also known as Diablous Rex looks natural just with bigger teeth, ability to camoflauge and some other minor details. Rest assured it won't look like a mutated freak. Quote

Rest assured it won't look like a mutated freak. What? That sounds like a Sy-Fy original. Goodness, I hope this is proven wrong. Maybe, if true, he can go up against Mega-Super-Mutant-Shark! That would be awesome. I just hope that this "D-Rex" looks enough like the normal one in 1-3 so I can use it for that. Maybe this film would be good and I'm just prejudging it. At this point I don't really care as long as the dinosaurs are similar enough to get decent toys made of them. I hope. Quote

Risgrynsgrot Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 So we're gonna get some new playmobil dinosaurs? Damn shame. I hoped that they would make sets based on older movies, like Indiana Jones, but looks like I'm out of luck.. I want a Nedry fig! Quote
Borador Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 it's not wrong when the movie people have said it themselves. That's the source, then? Guess it's true... This may get harsh competition from Sharknado 3: Sharknado v. Crocnado. Oh well... I at least hope the Raptors are prominent. Those haven't really had a great representation in toys, and I'd love it for LEGO to be the ones who make the right version. Quote
SMC Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I kind of hope ever set comes with a raptor so we get a good number of them, I only need one T-Rex one D-Rex and a few new molds would be good. Quote

That might be asking for a bit too much! But it would be nice to get a pack of them. Most of all, I hope we get a new more accurate size wise raptor mold--the Dino one looks cool but it's larger than most Lego cars! I think the best sized raptor might be one more akin to a horse or warg; it would look a lot nicer and we'd most likely get more of them at that size. Quote
Frozen Assasin Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Am I the only one here wanting a Mosasaurus in one of those sets. (And hopefully not the largest one) Quote

Frozen Assasin Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I want one too! The last one sucked. I wanted one for years... Quote
ChrisLikesDinos Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Any further developments? I'm curious how long until we get an official announcement, or more leaks. Quote

Maybe they'll announce something at Comic Con. Any updates on the possibility of LEGO Minions? Edited September 19, 2014 by just2good Quote
