The_Customizer Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 OOC: Ok, hopefully we'll have the Battle order up by tonight, just waiting on people's actions. And could just be me, but weren't all of the enemies mechanical? Erdathcath attacks Harvester Left and Harvester Right (back row, handcannon) Quote
Endgame Posted August 16, 2014 Author Posted August 16, 2014 (edited) QM Note: The Harvesters always were mechanical, but Seerus was always a demon type. I just put the Blue Tentacles level down from 60 to 55, as I had forgotten to do so previously. I hadn't realize the autosave feature hadn't saved it when I changed their level to 55, so the battle got posted with the unfixed level. And I believe Kintobor left the Party Leader to specify an action for Karie, so... Edited August 16, 2014 by Endgame Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Jeaux fires a round from his handcannon at the Left Blue Tentacle from the back row Quote
Zepher Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 Boomingham swings at the left Harvester from the front row. He turns to Masson as he swings his sword. "What have you done?!" he demands, having apparently totally missed Masson and Karie's quiet conversation earlier. "You see now we don't let the past go unpunished." OoC: I didn't mean to have Chains of the Pongcanis Chief equipped for this quest. I removed them from my person the previous quest, and forgot to re-edit my stats. Did you take them into account ever last fight? Or can I ask for them to be removed. I should have been paying better attention. If you took them into account last fight I feel that they should remain on, but if not I ask you to be lenient (but of course you're the QM!). If they are removed, I attack from the back row. Quote
Endgame Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 QM Note: I did not even notice them last battle. In the interest of consistency and honoring your intentions: Fixed. Masson sputters out a frantic reply, getting into the heat of battle. "I - I was just told an hour ago that that abomination The Regret broke into my home and read my mind qithout realizing it! He stole the schematics to the Harvester, and made multiple, it seems... I tried using Exterlate to erase my memory of the damn thing, but I was immune to its effect from exposure. I don't know what else to say other that I'm sorry, and I will gladly risk my life to take that damn thing out of this world..." Quote
Zepher Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 "Imagine if I'd cut you down when I wanted to. Then we would not be facing them now," says Boomingham - for once not a merry threat, but rather just a stern reminder of what could have been. "They do not belong on Olegaia. Destroying them will be a start." Quote
Endgame Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 "...That much is true. Other factors would be different, but... That much is true. But there is a greater evil here than my former self. We must focus on destroying him." Quote
joeshmoe554 Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 "Weren't you the one who created the Harvester, why make such a creation if you are so disgusted by it?" Quote

(First three heroes in the BO take an automatic 30 damage, heroes cannot be hurt by the paint twice.) The round at first goes fairly well. Johon unleashes Muckraker on Seerus, weakening his limbs. The party continues to barrage the demonic leader, the assault going fairly well... Until Seerus starts getting serious. A tentacle lunges at Karie, picking her up and tossing her at Boomingham; her Witch magic manages to severely weaken two of Seeru's tentacles. Karie's triumph is quickly dashed, however, as she crashes into Boomingham. Masson looks on in dismay as he parries one of the tentacles. Emjajoas Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Em wobbles slightly, glancing at his bow. He could hardly aim straight with the damn thing-- He glances down at the sword Karie had let him borrow. Pass on negative effects, huh? He grits his teeth, staggering again, before drawing the blade and striking at Seerus with Doppelganger from the back row. OOC: If I can't pass on half-blind, I instead fire at him with my Aquabow and pretend I'm not an idiot. Quote
Endgame Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 QM Note: I'll allow that on the grounds of being exceedingly clever. He'll get the Boomingham-healed 1/6 version though, not the standard 1/2 version we had originally planned. Quote
Emjajoas Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 OoC: Can't really complain about that. From the looks of things we could use a bit of an advantage. Quote

Zepher Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Boomingham's head stops spinning and he finds himself on the ground with Karie on top of him. He slides her off him relatively gently, letting her come to a rest on the ground. "Swore I hit the damn tentacle, couldn't figure out what was hitting me but of course it was another hero," he grumbles staggering to his feet. He looks at the severely injured tentacles. "Good work," he huffs to everyone in general, unsure who had injured them so grievously. "Chuck a bomb at them, would be worth it for the two birds with one stone sort of deal. Besides, I've got to give a shot at healing myself." He steps back and Barty pops into existence. Quote

Endgame Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Seerus looms over the party, glaring down at the carnage he was causing. "The Witch seems to be experiencing sensory overload. Was seeing Em's - no, excuse me, Mortimer's - eye blown out, followed by The Harvester, too much for your lecherous little brain? I bet the tattoo on your back is all tingly too, Mrs. Alderflask-Cour. That's because you currently have the honor of being in the presence of drawing it in the first place! Quite the design, isn't it? Shame I'll have to destroy my own artwork when I end this charade, though. Pity. Part of the job description, I suppose..." Quote
Kintobor Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Seerus looms over the party, glaring down at the carnage he was causing. Pity. Part of the job description, I suppose..." Karie's own mind was on the fritz. Seeing everything happen so suddenly had sent her into a panic. Her tattoo on her back and the ink around her arm felt riff with tension. Picking herself off the ground she pats herself down, but stops after sending waves of pain across her body. She shuts out Seerus to the best of her failing ability his words seeping into her mind, and downs a grand potion from the back. Quote
