"Aww, I hope I didn't already snap your psyche like a twig. I know we Oculoids just get right under your skin, Karie. I'd hate to lose this guilty pleasure so quickly. Besides, can't really shut out a psychic, am I right?"

QM Note: Could someone specify a BO/NPC actions?

"Karie darling, don't mind him, his job is just to get into our minds and mess with us, ignoring him makes this battle so much easier. Plus, give us a little while more, and he'll be dead." Turning to Punii, she requests a big requirement from him, "Punii, I'm needing you to go first. If you throw the bomb that will take out a couple enemies, and make it much easier for the rest of us, you can also take some damage from the paint without dieing. Are you willing to do that? Worst case scenario, I can just revive you afterwards. Johon, if you are able to ravage them after Punii throws his bomb, we should be able to clear most of the enemies."

Battle Order:

---------------------------

Punii Throws Military Grade light bomb (It does 100 damage, right?)

Johon

Masson attacks Blue tentacle left (back row)

Johon

Erdathcath attacks Harvester (left) with her handcannon from back row

Em

Jeaux

Boomingham

Karie

Erdathcath attacks Harvester (right) with her handcannon from back row

"Uh, no, it only does 10 damage... I mean, it'd destroy two of his tentacles and do an okay number on the rest, but it's no *cough* big game changer."

QM Note: Bricksandparts, choose your target and this round can get rolling! :sweet:

QM Note: Nope, those were "Destructive" grade, or something similar. Military Grade has been 10 damage throughout several quests.

Can someone specify an action for Johon?

"So now you think I'm weak?!" Karie shouts, "Don't give me that tone and not understand what I've gone through with these bastards! You try ignoring as they rip your every emotion apart and turn it against you. I for one intend for that to stop!"

Karie shows Seerus her Paper Doll, grinning madly.

"What's this? A Paper Doll? Whatever shall you do to hex me now?" She mockingly jeers.

"I don't need to hex you in order to break you, Karie. You are immune to one of our many tools... I suppose I cannot deny that. But I do wish you could see what you look like right now. I just wish you could see how unhinged you look. Is that an actual smile, Karie? or are you covering something? Your crippling fear? Over what? That I'll retell you some of your "favorite" memories? That I'll emotionally deconstruct you, just like my underlings did in the forest? Perhaps I'll give you another scar on that simply inadequate body of yours, or brand you once again with a symbol of pure humiliation? Or maybe you are afraid that I'll turn one of your allies, your firneds, against you? Because I can. There are so many things I can do, Karie. I like to consider myself a multimedia artist, you know. I can break you and put the shards of your psyche back together without even having to use a single hex! Wonderful, isn't it?

I already did it to Mortimer, in a way. Look at him. He's on the brink, and all he needs is the tiniest little shove and I bet he'll lose it. You teeter on the edge as well, Karie."

"Quit running your mouth, worm," Mortimer growls, teeth grit, muscles tense, barely able to stand on his own two feet, his head jerking to the left repeatedly to check his blind spot. "I will smear you over this damn floor like the maggot you are."

Erdathcath pulls herself straight, up a good 7 ft. tall, and declares deeply, "Karie, don't even mention what they have done to you. I have faced these foul creatures time and again, I have seen them outright slaughter kids and adults alike simply for the fun of it. I have had my heart ripped out in agony for the poor souls who were destroyed by the Regret and his minions. Never again will I allow that to happen, if I have to die to prevent the Regret from rising again, I swear, I will go down with him. As such, do NOT even consider me to have a misunderstanding of these beasts, I know what they are like, and I personally look forward to when the Regret has his body ripped to shreds and his reign of terror is over."

"Careful there, Mortimer. I'd hate for you to go into cardiac arrest. After all, can't have you looking ugly for your eventual portrait, can I?

Tell me, Mortimer. Would you like it if I mind your friends paintings, too? You could have company. The automaton would make for a novel painting... So would that scruffy oaf. I would make Erdathcath into a frame, but I'm not that barbaric. Speaking of barbarians, I suppose the Raider wouldn't make a bad picture either... Neither would the redhead, hm." His words were horrifically off tangent, but his actual movements told a different story: one of pure concentration and precision.

Mortimer fires another arrow at Seerus, missing, the veins on his neck bulging. "I can't extend to you the courtesy of company on your trip to Hell," he replies, jerking his head left. "You'll burn alone."

"Thanks. I owe you one."

Seerus' poison is visible even outside of Masson's several layers, a horrible black liquid that seeped into his skin.

"I don't know how any living create can possibly be made out of this stuff... It's, uh, made most of my upper body numb. But don't worry, I'll be able to handle it. I think."

"If you have the means to remedy that poison, you should probably do so. No reason to fight while impaired if it can be prevent."

Unsheathing his newest sword from his side, Boomingham looks down at it. The dark steel greatsword, nameless as of now. With it are the memories of Strivvi - that along with Masson, and his whole ugly past with Heroica is all in one room. He smiles.

"Glad to see you could be bothered to do something," he says to Barty, who glimmers bravely above the parties.

"I know we've been over this before, Lawrence, but while you are not an ideal specimen, I happen to barely, barely mind you, prefer you to abominations. And such snide ones at that. The Regret has crushed angels before. I'd like to see him try. We fought Baba and I'm still here. As are you." Barty looks down sternly. "Enough babbling already, you idiot! Attack the damn thing!"

Boomingham steps forward and swings at the remaining Crusher tentacle.

QM Note: Laptop is out of commission - a family member shut it down, the one thing it can't do. Can someone post a BO and NPC actions while I try to figure something out?
