ddimkin Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Hi Guys. Here are my first two 9398 based crawlers. The tracktor is my personal favorite - it is 20g lighter then the Evil Crawler with netweight of 770g. (excluding battery - 200g and balancing weights - 100g). Using a DC/DC converter to keep a constant voltage of 11.8V and a 8.4V third party Li Ion battery. A second 9398 set is on its way and I hope to be able to build more complex models then :) 1. Bzroom Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Very cool. Why did you put tape around the front differential? Quote

nerdsforprez Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Nice. Yes, these MOCs are very quick. How did you provide power using over 11 volts? Also lithium Battery? Is there a post that explains how this is done? I have heard that the XL motors can take more than the 9 volts provided by the 6 AA batteries from the PF battery box... but how is this accomplished?
