Lego is a very friendly hobby from a cost standpoint. You can have a very nice collection and not break the bank. It's also very flexible in that if you run out of space, you can simply disassemble something and store it in a box.

I like gaming but have no time, I don't have a new console but maybe once a year the mega drive comes out, which is twenty years old now, and I do some retro gaming (sonic, golden axe etc). I'm learning some programming at the moment and looking to move into a new career. I also do some writing, am interested in sci fi films but it all started with lego. Lego is my escape. Oh, did I mention motor sport.

I have gotten into Legos because of another hobby, Asian ball jointed dolls. My favorite dolls are Micros, 7cm tall or smaller. My very favorite doll is 5cm tall and fits perfectly into Legos. I use the Legos for photographs. Last weekend I took a garden set of Legos to a doll convention to lure other doll owners own the slippery slope of Legos. My favorite Legos pieces have to be he Captain America motorcycle and shield that inspired a display or my doll at A-kon.

My other hobbies include reading, writing fiction and poetry, sewing, crocheting, knitting, SCA (we recreate the Middle Ages and Renaissance the way we think it should have been), singing in the church choir, Anime, Manga and 3DS games-it is the only system I play.

I've done quite a bit of climbing, though the last three years have been a bit poor on account of doing an MA while working full time. I'm now trying to get back to it on regular basis again, though motivation is proving a bit hard to find now I'm no longer as strong or as bold as I used to be...

I'm just on the edge of the Peak District. So, most of my climbing tends to be on the Gritstone.

As to bold and strong; they passed me by a long time ago. I'm just a bumbly these days, only little way off buying a pair of Ronhills

I'm in Mid Wales at a point which is pretty much equidistant between Pembroke, Gower and Snowdonia, which means I have a remarkable variety of rocks to climb on. At the moment I'm supposed to be helping write the forthcoming Climbers' Club guidebook to Mid Wales, which to be honest I've been a bit slack on.

Anyway - climb on!

I have had a number of interests, hobbies and sports over the years, but here's my current list

Brewing beer

Drinking different kinds of beer (currently 384 so far - thank you untappd App for keeping track of them all)

Cycling (I used to be a MTBer, and now watching the roadies do their stuff on the Tours on TV - Go Cavendish!)

My wife runs an Pet rescue/spay and neuter group so there's always something to be done.

Now time for some Lego and a pint of Ska Brewing Company's Modus Hoperandi

I really like doing archery, and it's great for when you need to blow some steam off. I also plan on getting a hunting license sometime in the near future.
