MKJoshA Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) See the previous tales: Wyndor's Saga: Chapter 1 -What Has Past- Chapter 2 Part 10: A New Home Part 10.1:Blunted Edges Part 10.2: Cramped Spaces Part 10.3: Enthusiastic Worker Part 11.0 Part 11: Mysterious Death Part 12: Dark Meetings Part 13: Warm Yourself When Wyndor was off with Pjeter dealing with city council matters Valanice had taken to getting to know some of the families that lived outside the walls of Dålig Ulv. There were many farmers and other land owners that claimed Dålig Ulv as their home and all were happy to befriend Valanice. Her charm made them comfortable and her honest desire to help in what little ways she could while she visited them made them love her. Just a couple days ago Valanice’s parents had sent their youngest, Olivia, to stay with Valancie and Wyndor for some time while they dealt with the Drow. Valanice had spent the past few years with her uncle, Robert, in Beleriand, and hadn’t seen her sister in a long time. Today she was visiting Tom and Brenda with Olivia. Valanice was watching her sister lead the horse around the track as he ran the mill that crushed the corn from Tom and Brenda’s farm. They had hired the services of one of the local dwarves, Hashbaz, to help them around their property. He was a nervous dwarf. He always seemed to be looking over his shoulder and seemed to ever be worried about something. But he was a hard worker and Tom needed his help to bring in all the crops this year. (Sorry this is so much like Gunman's entry! I had no intention of plagiarizing his build. I've had the idea for awhile, but he beat me to building it!) (I like the angle of the first picture better but this one is for those who like a picture of the complete build without anything cropped out) Edited August 7, 2014 by MKJoshA Quote
mrcp6d Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 The shallow depression where the horse has been walking is a nice idea. Quote
Yzalirk Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 It's small but it looks nice with the clever idea with the land being more shallow since the horse has been walking there for a while. Quote
Hobbythom Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Very novel idea! Would look good great as a detail in an ever larger diorama. Might have to steal this idea sometime. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I like how you used the curved and round bricks for the mill The horse being led by a carrot is a fun touch too Quote
-Horizon- Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Nice story and the dirt circle looks nice too. Quote
Gunman Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Really nice creation MK! I like that the ground is lower at the horse's path. Quote
MKJoshA Posted August 8, 2014 Author Posted August 8, 2014 The shallow depression where the horse has been walking is a nice idea. Thanks! I thought so Nice work! Glad you like it! Very novel idea! Would look good great as a detail in an ever larger diorama. Might have to steal this idea sometime. Larger diorama, hmm... Please, steal away! I like how you used the curved and round bricks for the mill The horse being led by a carrot is a fun touch too Thanks SK! I'm glad you like the rounded bricks as much as I do for this build! Nice story and the dirt circle looks nice too. Thanks! Nice work, I like the irregular base Well, the base is pretty rectangular and normal Did you mean the brown "dirt" pieces adding texture on top? Really nice creation MK! I like that the ground is lower at the horse's path. Thanks Gunman! I had to try to add something different from yours Quote
Maxim I Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Nice mill!! I laughed with the carrot being used to make the horse move faster :p Quote
