Lord Tyrus Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 This rebel scums behaviour is just ridiculous. One is posting an etry that is none, and another tries to cheat by posting empty threads. Looks like I have to leave SoNE, feeling sourrounded by childish and unfair kiddies... Haha! Just seen the entries. I feel your pain.... Quote
markus1984 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 But i also think how Disco say`s. So many entrys are a little bit chaotic and i have absolutely no overview who built how much mocs - but wwe will see . And i see some they are new at sone have 1or2 FB`s but build 3-4 entrys for this EP?!? Quote
MKJoshA Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 We will be checking all of that after today to make sure that each person only submitted the allowed amount of entries. I've been keeping a very detailed Excel report! Quote
Donnie Bricko Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 We will be checking all of that after today to make sure that each person only submitted the allowed amount of entries. I've been keeping a very detailed Excel report! Thanks Josh...you're doing a great job -D Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Hey, marcus and Disco, don't you two dare to eve think about leaving SoNE. Even if we loose a battle, the war still continues and we need every trooper availible! Thanks to MKJoshA for extending the deadline! Sadly for me it was not enough to complete all the entries, but I hope it's enough. Post grduation times are tougher than I thought ... I'm sorry to my team mates, but I wasn't able to finish my final two entries ... It's aleways like that - when there's a fun episode on, I have far too little time! :( Thanks again for an extraordinary episode, that's been the best so far I think! Nice to see the Rebels to fight along with this one, though they are no match for the Empire! Nice to see Jacob, Ninja and LegoFjotten return! Also another sorry for not being able to comment on all the great builds that were produced during this episode, but I was really short on time ... See you in the next battle! Quote
MKJoshA Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 The planet stats have been updated. Bothawui and Ord Mantell changed hands giving 5 more xp to each side. There's still time to take them back folks! Also, there are 2 entries that are being deliberated over. They have not been added to the stats yet. I've also updated the official tag: This sweet beauty will be given to the winning side. You all have a few more hours. Keep up the good work! Quote

And i see some they are new at sone have 1or2 FB`s but build 3-4 entrys for this EP?!? Yeah I agree it is messy, and I do have to read the rules over and over again ( I learn that now ever since episode V), but I do realise it's a tough job for the mods ) . What I would like to suggest if at all possible, (1) keeping up a XP and Episode scoreboard (updated every week perhaps Sunday/Monday Night [ but not daily] so as not to create stress for the mods and set an expectation for freebuilders to prevent hassle ), and Episode Challenge Scoreboard can be updated every 2 days one week before end date. In addition, folks who are going to participate need to express their interest in the episode in the episode thread, so to have their names and XP reflected in scoreboard, if not their names will NOT be on scoreboard; and (2) to also to create a folder for freebuilds as well, so the mod or forum goers can view them separately and is more organized, and a guideline to freebuilds. I struggle to find rules on freebuilds (if any). Perhaps as an additional guideline, a freebuild/entry need to have minimum of 50/100pcs give or take, unless rules state micro scale, this to allow a minimal level of commitment to the challenge rather than putting one up just for entry . For the lego novice builder, 50/100pcs is very easy to hit. A lego balloon cart is already 66 pieces. The prizes are fine to win and a well thought idea, but I don't know about anyone else, it doesn't matter to me either way. So you can save up some cash there as well. I think the love to create and tag is way more important And Disco and Markus, don't you dare... The Empire needs you! Edited September 25, 2014 by Pointblank Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I'm sorry, but I feel like a few elitists threaten to leave and suddenly the rules are changed and my entry is Disqualified. Quite petty for what is otherwise a friendly competition. Sorry my Rebel comrades. Quote

Quite petty for what is otherwise a friendly competition. Sorry my Rebel comrades. Nah, I don't think so. You must understand every person is different and have different levels of passion for things, plus cultural and language differences also play a part in this. I think your entry was disqualified not because of the Imps. If only the IMPs has such power (Jedi Mind trick), then the Deathstar wouldn't have been destroyed :P Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I'm sorry, but I feel like a few elitists threaten to leave and suddenly the rules are changed and my entry is Disqualified. Quite petty for what is otherwise a friendly competition. Sorry my Rebel comrades. I can assure you that, even if we take into consideration any complaints about a build, we judge make our own opinion and take decision accordingly, even if some decisions are difficult and painful both to take and to accept. That said, I want everyone to remember that it is a friendly game, and that everyone is welcome to participate, with his/her (btw where are the girls!!) skills, passion and bricks. Not everyone has the same skills passion and bricks. Try to be respectfull in your comments, and always have in mind that some people here may have difficulties to write, read or understand perfectly english, and that it could leads to misunderstandings. We are all here to improve our skills, our passion and sometimes our bricks! markus1984 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) I have never say that i leave SoNE!! SoNE is for me only just4fun! Like the idea, story and challenges so it does not matter whether I win or not! My english is also not the best but i know the rules and the storyline of SoNE. My feeling is only about the number of EPVI entrys and freebuilds from the members, i cannot say exactly but in my opinion some of them is not correct! But for this we have the jury! And i know that they have many, many work with all parts of SoNE so i can only say many thanks to all for this stunning work!! markus And dont forget - how ever good ore not good builds - This is an "Star Wars" RPG with rules!!! MKJoshA Posted September 25, 2014 Author Posted September 25, 2014 The contest is over. Good job to all the participants! Stats on the contest, points, and the winners will be posted sometime in (hopefully) the near future. One stat I know right now is that the Empire was the only team to re-take a planet with their troops. Good job! There were 2 entries that were disqualified. I'm sorry we had to do that, but it was because of the rules of the contest and not because of an member's comments. Thank you all for having fun with this contest. As this was my first one I was pretty happy to see so many people participating and having fun. Quote
WickNole Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 MKJoshA, thank you for the awesome episode! Quote
markus1984 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Yes, i can only say the same! It was an very funny episode with so much great entrys. Big thanks! Markus Quote
LegoFjotten Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Thank you for hosting MKJoshA, great work! And a lot of entries... I will have to look through them all, I feel guilty for not commenting more throughout the episode - so many cool builds! Quote
Aland1916 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Great job, MKJoshA. It was really an interesting episode, I am happy I participated in it! Quote
Disco86 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 We will be checking all of that after today to make sure that each person only submitted the allowed amount of entries. I've been keeping a very detailed Excel report! We totally trust you. This Episode was totally awesome and we really know what a hard work you are doing here. Thanks and respect for this Episode ! Hey, marcus and Disco, don't you two dare to eve think about leaving SoNE. Even if we loose a battle, the war still continues and we need every trooper availible! We will not loose this Episode ;) And loosing is never a reason to stop something. I'm sorry, but I feel like a few elitists threaten to leave and suddenly the rules are changed and my entry is Disqualified. You just don't get it. Your first and second attempt on building have been just ridiculous, using a plain baseplate. And you definitly could have done better, because your flickr stream Shows better builds and you suddenly managed it to build a SNOT-baseplate. So just keep calm and accept that your entry was just sarcastic and will not be counted. And it still is no Star-Wars-entry... But thanks for calling me a "elitist" :) Nah, I don't think so. You must understand every person is different and have different levels of passion for things, plus cultural and language differences also play a part in this. Totally agree to this. Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Thank you MKJoshA, this has been a great episode. I look forward to the next! Quote
Manx Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 This was my 4th episode but I feel as if it was my 1st. Great way to learn more about SW world, improve your building skills, meet new people and what's most important - to have fun! That's the purpose of community builds! Thanks to MKJoshA all this was possible. He really put a lot of work in it! I can't wait to see the results and, let the better MOCers win! Quote
Graham Gidman Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks for the great episode MKJoshA! Quote
Jannik Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I have really enjoyed being part of my first SoNE episode (after watching the last couple) thank you to the organisers for all of their work, especially MKJoshA for being such a great host. Quote
BEAVeR Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Thanks a lot to MKJoshA and the SoNE staff for hosting this episode and handling things in such a mature way. Your work is really appreciated, and all of the efforts you did to extend the deadline, judge the freebuilds in time (and, on a personal note, to keep allowing digital builds!)etc., make us very grateful. If no one already told you: you're doing a great, fantastical, phenomenal, unbelievable, incredible, marvelous, wonderful and unique job! Thanks (to keep in the theme of this episode) to make it such a fun and succesful episode, with a lot of builds and maybe the most participants ever (but I haven't checked that, it's just a feeling...). We're all in awe of what you do, and wish you the best of luck in finishing this round, and continuing this priceless project. Thanks to all of the participants as well to enter so many great builds (although the Rebels should have been a bit less productive ) and keep interested in this exhausting episode. This honestly was the toughest contest I ever was in, with a lot of building and writing. I can't imagine what our Iron Builder and Steam Wars guys must have gone through. Anyway, this didn't allow to write a lot of feedback. I'll still try to do that in the next couple of days, and even though you can't change the entries anymore, I hope you still find it useful and can grow in building with our awesome SoNE. Just that you know that I'm spamming the forum, necromancing old topic for a reason the couple of days... I have a bit of feedback on this episode as well. It was very nice to see such a huge amount of entries, but the downside of it is that the forum got really crowded with builds and some rapidly sank to the bottom without a lot of feedback. Maybe the problem was that it was hard to get an overview (thanks for keeping the scores, BTW, MKJoshA!). I don't know how this could have been prevented, apart from a shoutout to all of the members not just to have a look at the topics at the top. I'm also working on a little something to give everyone an overview of how productive this episode was, but more about that in a couple of days . So see you in the next episode! The judges can take their time though, as I really can use some rest now... Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Great stuff, I for one enjoyed this episode immensely! From my first attempt at a type of water on Mon Cala, to trying a mix of "clean" and cluttered styles for my Ord Mantell entry. Great to see some real strategy on this one! Quote
MontyPython Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 I agree with others, great episode and great hosting from MKJoshA. Quote
